I just bought my car from this dealership it was totally bad experience ever I changed my contract 3 times just because they were playing prize games specially rob levesque who is finance guy however he realized English is my second language game start and I had to change my contract 3 times I will never ever do any bussines with them again …

I have had my fair share of issues with my 2008 Altima, but Clay has been very helpful ever since the Framingham dealership closed down. Today I went in because my service engine light was on, and I was dreading what they would find. Turns out it had something to do with a coil that needed to be replaced. One of the cylinders wasn’t firing apparently. I was terrified of what the cost was going to be, but apparently this is something Nissan covers for 15 years. So it was well worth the 90 minute wait to learn that the issue was fixed FOR FREE! Thank you so much Clay!

Really nice guys in the front, but the dealership mechs are slow. Made an appointment for 10 for an oil change and inspection, was told about an hour, hour 15. An hour 45 later, still getting a 5 to 10 minutes more from the guys at the front.
Clearly put, it doesn’t matter if you make an appointment here. They’ll get to your car when they feel like it. Almost 2 hours? There’s no way this should take this long.
To their credit, they did knock off the oil change cost for the wait. That’s worth a star, but doesn’t really make up for having to resched a meeting that day.
Only reason they’re getting a third star is for the really nice guys at the desk.

Looking to buy a new Rogue. They keep all their new cars in a gravel lot with a bunch of pot holes and weeds. Talked to them all day on Saturday negotiating a deal, put a deposit down, all set up to pick up the car/​sign papers on Sunday. I called Sunday morning to reschedule to Monday since my plans changed. TWO other people (sales manager and sales person) called throughout the day to confirm I was still coming Sunday even though I already rescheduled for Monday (clearly no communication). Monday we come in, my car is in the show room, completely filthy, not detailed, not washed, looked like someone went off-​roading with it. They said they didn’t know I was picking it up today (even though we discussed this all Saturday and Sunday) and that they’d detail it and clean it while I was signing the paperwork. I told them I wasn’t going to sign anything and that I was super disappointed that they have my car looking awful in the showroom. I don’t get why you would put a filthy car in a show room in the first place. They ended up losing the deal. Really bad communication and salesmanship.

Clay Nissan service center– and especially George– were great! We took our Sentra there since we were visiting Boston from Philadelphia. They diagnosed (and replaced) a faulty transmission (under warranty) as well as repairing other damage. They were incredibly accommodating with our out-​of-​town-​ness and were very up front and patient about explaining costs. Great customer service. Professional and helpful staff. Thanks Clay Nissan!

This dealership is terrible. Bait and switch. Rude and condescending. Go elsewhere if at all possible

Stopped in with my wife to look at new cars. We must have looked poor or something because it was hard to get anyone to pay attention to us. I appreciate a low-​pressure approach, but I wasn’t prepared to feel like I was in Home Depot. After we managed to get acknowledged, it turned out that we didn’t warrant a salesperson and instead were shown around by someone from the finance department. She was very nice, but she apologized frequently for her understandable lack of product knowledge. We ended up feeling like we wasted our time. Guess where we won’t be buying a car!

Yesterday, I took my Altima back to this dealership after a squeaking sound reappeared following a repair the previous week for a steering fluid leak. They say they cannot hear the squeak, I say ok, but please do an oil change. Once the oil change is done, I pick up my car and drive to local Target. I shop for a bit, come out and my car is dead. I phone Clay Nissan and ask if they noticed anything with my battery or could have done something to it. Nope, they say, just a coincidence. Hm. OK. I call AAA, they come and replace dead battery for ca. $ 140.00. Today, go out to car and find battery charger behind the front seat. Doesn’t belong to AAA; so I call Clay Nissan. Yes! They are missing one, a blue one, just like the one I found. I explain that this is evidence that something was clearly happening with my battery when my car was at their shop. Believe or not, they still deny any contact with my car’s battery. What!!! Come on! Own up! You touched my car battery — the charger didn’t jump into my back seat!

We (my wife and I) bring our murano here once a while. although they always gave high-​ball estimates than any other good repair shops around, we did not have much to complain other than the prices and their eagerness to change parts that can last at least 2 more years without any problems. However, because of what happened recently we will never deal with these people, ever again. I recommend you do the same thing. We had a coupon, and we came here for a free oil change. They changed the oil and let us go and added that we need to change the oil pan without any explanation (my wife was there, I was not and this was all what was reported to my wife, who has a very good history with cars to understand car and mechanic talk). We thought what could be wrong with the oil pan, as we had recently changed the oil pan with a non-​nissan part, and as always we thought they are trying to get a quick money before the part actually wears out). We had to leave the country for 1.5 months and did not have time even to think over this. We came back last week, the car was sitting in a pot of oil in the garage. Everything leaked. Of course we traced back our steps, we went to them. They took out some papers from June 25, 2015 saying that the threads of the oil pan are outstripped (probably by the people who changed the oil before them in February 2015, more on this later). «So just go talk to them it is not our fault» was their response.
This is the first flag: nothing happens for 4 months and then after these guys change the oil everything leaks.
And the second thing is that they let my wife go with an oil pan that can drain any moment. If a mechanic finds an outstripped drainage threads on an oil pan, he should run out and tell the owner who is waiting there «Ma’m, we have a dangerous situation here, you should know this this this happened, we recommend to change your oil pan urgently and not recommend to drive your car off here» Of course none of these were done. (Just saying oil pan needs to be replaced means that «you can drive for now but when it comes to that you should change the oil pan»).
As I also learnt from the other place I went, you need a power tool to outstrip an iron oil pan’s drainage threads, like Murano’s. Nobody in a respectable business uses power tools to lock or unlock the drain valve of an oil pan. So it looks like that these Clay guys used a power tool set on the wrong setting (close vs open) to open the cover! I think that they were trying to cover their tracks by not telling my wife the urgency of the matter.
Even if they did not do anything to the oil pan (which I highly doubt), not telling my wife the urgency of the matter, before even changing the oil and just after draining the pan, is a huge negligence of mechanic duties.
Mr Mark at the repairs kindly refused to change for free what they have done, and also claimed my wife was a liar indirectly. For a $ 350 – 400 piece why would we lie and why would we risk our two children’s safety (we are grateful that we can cover that much cost without any problem)!
This is a place clearly needs to be avoided at any cost, for your safety and if you care about honesty. I will take them to the small claims court if I get the time and of course to better business bureau.

We did not wind up purchasing a car here, but only because we were looking for a pretty specific used car. We came here twice and both times got excellent service. Vadim, Jessica and Richard were all excellent. No pressure, able to answer all our questions, good followup without being pushy. I really appreciated their help and if we could have purchased there, we would have.

Brought my Nissan Xterra here for some repairs. While they did do a nice job there was some disappointments. For one– I requested all work being done was e-​mailed to me. I called, emailed, and wrote on their website requesting this. Each time they said they would… and never did.
Also, they were supposed to give it a car wash. I spent over 1100 on repairs and they didnt wash it. Didn’t think it was much to ask for. I brought my Lexus IS250 into Lexus of Watertown for a simple oil change and they washed the interior and exterior.
Another complaint is that I have the extended manufacture warranty which is suppose to cover basically everything. However, it only covered 500 dollars for the 1100 and they wouldn’t even explain to me the reason the rest was not covered.
I will probably go back for simple oil changes and whatnot but not more than the routine maintenance.

Waiting 1 and 15 minutes for an inspection sticker! Grrrrrrrr!
Ok, customer service pulls through. I just got a voicemail with a very apologetic representative informing me that my account has been credited a free oil change! Well done Clay Nissan!

Awesome service… and from a dealership, no less!
It can be hard to bite the bullet and take the car into the dealership for service, but I was so happy with the service department at Clay. Brad was so great. I dropped off my car (a Versa) in for routine maintenance (which was WAY overdue.) Brad called to tell me the brakes were pretty shot and would need replacing. I told him my concern about the cost of the repair on top of the maintenance package I was already paying for, and he actually hunted for a coupon for me and took 20% off the total cost of the service. It took two hours, and when I came back, my car was freshly washed (complimentary car wash?!) and ready to go! Very knowledgeable, thorough, accommodating, and reasonable place for repairs!

ok, had my car serviced here a couple times, 04 Nissan Murano SE at about 70k miles and they seem really good, Friendly of course, took good care of me with things that were still under dealer warranty, at first.
Then, my alternator went and they replaced it and told me that i would also need a battery, which i had jut bought the battery that was in the car. So they replaced it as well.
now i have and extended warranty on my car, so when the next issue arose with the car it was covered under that warranty, and all i should have had to pay for any repair covered is deductible of $ 100 dollars, but Nissan told me that the warranty would not cover the repairs fully and i had to pay them an additional $ 800, which made me look at other shops, and i found one that used dealer parts and was able to repair my car and i was charged nothing but my deductible, this made me stop using the dealer as they rip you off.
now the way this all ties in, the alternator that Nissan put in failed again, i had to get it fixed .
the battery that Nissan put in from the dealer started leaking acid and i was unaware, and it leaked out and destroyed my hoses and lines to my transmission, this is a $ 800 repair, plus i have to pay for a rental to get to work. Called Nissan about their battery they put in and what happen, and was told that it was two year ago and the battery is only fo 1 year warranty, and that they will not reimburse me for the cost because i don’t service my car with them anymore.
Why would i keep coming to you when you rip me off? My car is service by professionals regardless and is up to date. Nissan dosent care and try to act like they do, They don’t stand by their products and will play the warranty game even though its their faulty or defective parts that cost consumers alot of money. I am not going stop going after them, until they do what is right, I should be compensated for their faulty battery. Nissan would have never told me that their battery was the cause of this had i gone to them…
i will never buy Nissan again…

Clay Nissan is amazing. When I moved to Boston, I was nervous about finding an trustworthy and honest car repair, and I got totally hosed the first time I took my car to get the inspection sticker. I have a Murano, so when I needed and oil change and my tire pressure light was on, I decided to try Clay Nissan in Newton. I have probably been there three or four times in the last two years, and all of my experiences have been great.
I have a baby, so going somewhere with a nice waiting room is awesome. They have couches and tables and a TV, the bathrooms are really nice and clean and have a changing table, and they have a coffee station, popcorn, and freshly made Otis Spunkmeyer cookies!
They employees have always been super nice and accommodating. One time I went there and it took longer than usual, and they only charged me for parts and not labor (anise half the original quote). Another time, I had them check out an issue that I had, do and oil change, and remove these auxiliary cord parts that had broken off and gotten stuck in the ports, and all they charged me for was the oil change. They are fair, honest, and they go the extra mile!

I met with Jessica, Ben and Miguel. Jessica is really excellent and loves her job. She is a low-​pressure and efficient sales agent who wants to help you find the right car. She is very relaxed and straighforward, making the experience of looking for a car enjoyable instead of nervewracking. I recommend her to anyone who wants to buy a new car. Ben and Miguel were equally helpful and I would recommend them as well. Thank you Clay Nissan of Newton.

I cannot express how much I would recommend these guys for your next vehicle purchase. They were truly unselfish and helpful. The whole experience was easy on the nerves.
Thanks to Ben, Vadim, Miguel, Rich and all of the other guys, they got me better rate on my loan and all set up to buy my Hyundai Veloster. This dealership has no other motive than to make you happy with your purchase.
Nice clean showroom, with indoor parking. Pricing is right on and no pressure to buy. Definitely worth stopping by.

I bought a 2010 Nissan Murano SL AWD in April 2014 from Herb Chambers Lexus in Sharon (Sam Pellows there is amazing!), because, it only had 26k original miles on it for a great price.
This is my 5^th Nissan, 2^nd Murano. I did a lot of research on this car because it is equipped with a CVT transmission which, I never had before. Great car, beautiful model (except my 06 Murano had auto headlights, this one does not: same model).
Anyhow, sometime in December my car started to buckle, it was as if I were teaching a 5yr old how to drive a stick shift. I took the car to my regular mechanic and they told me I had some bad gas and added fuel injection cleaner which, worked for a short period of time.
Last Monday in the snow my car buckled the entire way to work (4 mile ride) so I called and made an appointment at Clay Nissan in Newton to investigate. My appointment was for Tuesday 7am and I was taken immediately and got shuttled to work. I work in customer support and my first gripe is, I never received a call until 4:45pm for them to tell me that although they were able to recreate the buckling they had not been able to diagnose my problem and needed to keep it another day. I got a ride to their shop and got a rental (unlike their higher end sister company, Infinity, Nissan does not provide loaner cars for free). They next day I did not get a phone call about my car, I had to call them and they ended up having to call me back to tell me they are receiving two codes: mass air filter sensor and air sensor but, needed to keep it again to confirm with a technician.
Long story short, I did not get my car until Friday and the final diagnosis was corroded wires on the sensors, which, were covered under the extended warranty I purchased (as was the rental).
I’m disappointed for a few reasons: 1) lack of communication, they never contacted me to let me know if they had or hadn’t had answers, I had to follow up. This is a problem because my warranty only covers me for 5 days and if they needed time for parts I could have made other arrangements 2) they insinuated my mechanic left the compartment to the air shaft open when it was their mechanics earlier that day
I worked with Brad who was very apologetic and turned my negative experience into a positive one. The bottom line is, they found the problem and fixed it. Their prices are reasonable for what I paid for out of pocket (I also got an oil change and engine filter.
Tip: always go with an extended warranty, it saved me over $ 500 in repairs, parts and rental fees

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Avoid LUKE MICHEL!!! He was extremely rude to me and made certain comments that were not necessary. Very unprofessional and unethical. Lied to me about a lot of restrictions when I was renting a car from them. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! Save yourself the time and effort, look around other places. I will never be going to this place even though it is the closest to me.
I will make sure I tell everyone about my experience and do whatever i can to stop friends and family from going to this place!!!

This review is for service and I’m extremely disappointed to be writing it. I have been a repeat customer (hence two stars) and had been happy so far because it was the only place in town where I, a young woman, felt comfortable and not cheated. However, the shoddy work done here has put me in danger today.
I bought my Nissan from the Medford dealer and had an abysmal experience there trying to change some break pads a few years later. I then switched to this dealership in Newton and have been very happy with the service… I’ve had some important repairs done, and had had confidence in them. Until now.
About a couple of months ago, I asked them to change my old and worn out windshield wipers. They did so. A week later, it rained. The left windshield wiper immediately fell off.
I went back to Nissan and they changed it again, admitting and apologizing for the poor original work. I forgave them.
Today in the snow storm — as I was driving at high speed and for the first time turned on the windshield wiper on high (I don’t drive this car very often) the wiper (same one that was replaced) fell off. I was on the road, sleet and snow was flying everywhere, and because of an incompetently installed windshield wiper, (TWICE), I nearly was in a collision. (I’m fine — thank goodness for quick reaction.)
I asked them, twice, to do a simple windshield wiper change and was assured by the manager, the second time, that it had been tested.
If they can’t complete a simple windshield wiper change, how can I trust them with brakes, or oil changes, or tire changes (all of which I’ve done there) or anything else?
At this point, we are leaving for Thanksgiving, a long trip, with a broken windshield (that I paid a pretty penny for!) and I wish I had gone with a gas station job. Or, better yet, changed it myself. I will be calling the service department on Monday for a refund and will be highly unlikely to visit again. I had previously recommended friends with Nissans to go there and will be sharing this review with them.
