DC Electrical co are Terrific, They have done many Small jobs in our house and we’ve been very happy. Dave is very professional… and They clean up when they are done. Highly recommend them!

Since I’m new to Unilocal… sorry if my reviews are not up to Unilocalers standards.
I needed some small electrical work done at my rental property in Newton. I tried to call other electricians, but couldn’t get through. Dave was the first one to return my call, and I figured since he was from Newton, I’d go local. We scheduled him to come out and estimate the job– I took a day out of work, and 9 am comes– no show 10 am– no show 11 am– no show. finally at 4pm he calls and says he’s not going to make it, sets me up for the following week. The next appointment he showed up– late, but he showed up. We went over the projects, and he gave me an estimate. I knew something was up right away. I had priced out the material myself, and his estimate came in at 200 over the cost of material… for a job that would take at least 8 hours to complete. I’ve worked with other tradesmen many times before, so I knew malarkey when I saw it. I asked if I could have the quote in writing, and if he could in writing guarantee the price. He tried to talk circles around me-​which is not possible, as I’m in sales, so its my job to talk circles around everyone else. He said we should stop worrying about the «bullshit» and sign a contract to get this done. I pointed out the above discrepancies, and got the classic «well, this job isn’t even worth the effort.» I should have known better after the first day no show, and the crummy way he presents himself. I’d rather have gone to work both days and not lost money.

Dave is great. We were lucky enough to be referred to him and use his services for a kitchen renovation and panel upgrade. He and his team (particularly Brian, who spent several days in our house) are prompt, professional, honest and friendly. They are reasonably priced, work efficiently and do very high-​quality work (according to our town’s electrical inspector).
We plan to use Kaufman for an addition to our home this fall and we are happy to have such a great option for a quality electrician. We cannot recommend him enough.
