Quite many ways to make toppings for a hot dog in this place. The place is small, and may not be suitable for a fairy large group. French fries and chicken fries taste just right and are perfect choices for sides.

Can’t really screw up cooking a hot dog. But fries tasted pre cooked and just warm. Not hot. They tasted like they were sitting for a while. Overall it was sort of edible. But a Little expensive for hot dogs! It was also a bit dirty. It didn’t seem like the owner cared if the customers were happy. Someone complained and i observed the owner avoiding the issue and doing nothing to fix it.

The place is small but has room to dine in. When I saw the menu I was amazed of the variety of hot dogs they had… with so many different fixings. I had 2 of their signature dogs. The Volcano dog was ridiculously good. It was very spicy and had great heat and a great blend of flavors… And finally I had the Jersey dog which had Taylor ham, cheese with crumbled hash browns. It was fantastic. Everything was well cooked and not sloppy. The topping on the dogs were nicely placed and showed care in how they were presented. With the extensive menu they had I can easily pick out my next 3 visits of what to order if I had to. I love places that go out of The box with basic everyday food items and putting a twist on them such as hot dogs. The place was clean… and the service was very good. The woman at the counter seemed pleasant and to my surprise she brought my food out to my table. I was anticipating an order number or menu item name to be called out. But instead she served us. We were asked how everything was in the middle of the meal which made the experience pleasant. I really liked the place and will be coming back soon.

The female owner has an attitude and needs an adjustment on how to deal with customers. Hot dogs are ok and just that.ok.

I have been looking forward to trying this place for quite awhile. I wish I had left it at that. The onion rings were dripping in grease. The same with the fries-small pieces of greasy potato The chili dogs were terrible. Seriously, terrible. The hot dogs had no flavor!!! Chili was pretty bad too. Such a waste.

This place offers three different hot dogs. While I do like my hot dogs fried, I can see how some like them boiled, but I didn’t see the need for a third style. They have Sabrett’s which are boiled, Thumann’s which are deep fried, and also a foot long hot dog I didn’t find out what it was. I also like that htey offer you regular or spicy brown mustard as well as their own«Dirty Jersey» mustard and mayo. The other review that said the lady behind the counter is pretty lifeless or whatever is pretty spot on. She took our order and brought it to us outside. But she didn’t seem to have a personality. Just doing the basics to get by. I don’t know how long her Son has been cooking, but she was explaining to him why they use two different dogs. because one splits open when you fry it and one doesn’t. Maybe he’s still learning to cook. I like that there’s a bunch of different choices of toppings on the menu. I just didn’t think some of the dogs were executed properly. What was presented to us wasn’t that good. First off I’ll start with the fries. They were horrible. Very over cooked. The lady bringing us fries should have noticed how dark brown they were. They were dry and overly crispy. Needed a touch of salt as well. Now on to the hot dogs we tried. 1 — I first had a «Texas Weiner All The Way» with a fried Thumann’s. This is definitely not a Texas Weiner. There’s no greek chili on top. It tasted like store bought can of chili. Not very good. The saving point was the spicy brown mustard. It made the flavor pop. This is definitely not a Texas Weiner. Someone needs to school them. 2 — Next up I had a Falafel Dog. It’s a falafel made into the shape of a dog with lettuce, tomato, and tzatziki sauce on a pita bread. This was probably the worst falafel I’ve ever had! It had some flavor to it, but the texture wrong. I couldn’t finish it because it had the texture of an uncooked piece of dough. This one shouldn’t be on the menu. 3 — My friend had a Volcano Dog. This had avocado spread, Dirty Jersey Mustard, onions, and jalapeño peppers. I am confused as to what color their Dirty Jersey Mustard is supposed to be. This was red. Did they accidentally put Dirty Jersey Relish on top instead? The avocado spread was kind of flavorless. Whatever the spicy red stuff they put on, that was very good. I would tweak this dog if I was going to keep it on the menu. Lose the avocado and put something more Hawaiian to go with the volcano theme. maybe some kind of pineapple or papaya relish. the sweet will go along with the spicy nicely… or maybe something with a little smoky flavor in it for the Volcano effect. 4 — Lastly my friend had a burrito dog. Sliced hot dogs in a deep fried tortilla with chili, cheese and a side of sour cream. It’s too bad the chili wasn’t good, because this had a lot of chili in it. All of the hot dogs were cooked fine. It’s just the toppings that that could be executed better. While I do want to go back and try a few of their other dogs, I don’t think I’ll be back.

Owner, or older woman behind counter had the personality of a lemon taster. Never smiled, or mentioned anything about her products. In fact, she gave the appearance of someone who could care less what we ordered even when asked a question. It was like a chore to take our order. There were only one other group of 3 people who were already eating there dogs. The hot dogs was absolutely tasteless, and the garnishes did little to spice things up. I went with 2 others who gave me there dogs to finish. they were not impressed. I did not have the deep fried dog, just the dirty water dog. I just read the review from Shwan R, and i must have had the owners sister. Fair priced? $ 2.75 for a hot dog. I can buy a package for $ 4.99 or less hebrew national or sabrett. Sorry. this place will be outta of there like the paintball depot and the shish kabob place down the block in a few months.

One of the best hot dog spots on the area. The owner is super polite and friendly. The hot dogs are great, try a premium dog. My go to is the blt but the pizza dog is delicious too, good service, fair priced dogs, great lunch!

2.5 stars. Was looking for a quick bite for dinner and stumbled upon here. Place was completely dead when we came in. The woman(the owner) working in the front did not even greet us or smile at us once. So don’t expect great service here. We ordered the B.L.T, Pizza, Nacho Dog and Disco Fries Topped with Mozzarella Cheese & Gravy. The hot dogs were decent but nothing special(I mean it’s really hard to mess hot dogs up especially when they are deep fried — Thurmann’s style) but the gravy sauce on the fries were EXTREMELY salty. I don’t ever think food should be served this salty because it’s hard to fix it(which is why most places have salt and pepper on the table so you can add as much as you want to your meal after it’s been cooked). Service was a little slow considering we were the only customers there. There isn’t much seating indoors but they also have outdoor seating. Would I come back? Overall, I’m not that impressed and I definitely would not go out of my way to come here. If you want really good hot dogs and you’re willing to drive, check out Destination Dogs in New Brunswick. You’ll thank me later.

This place does a great job on the dog! They’ve got a great selection of different types of dogs(some signature and some classic) and you can choose between having it fried(which was really good) or boiled. I had the Chicago dog and I felt like it was super authentic to the name. I’d only say that they should expand. Store was kinda small. Maybe more to come !!

My wife and I went christmas tree shopping in mid december which turned into an all day affair. Extra shopping, ect… and by days end we were quite exhusted and used Unilocal to find something quick to eat and go home. We came across Jersey Dog and far as we’re concerned, it was The Jack Pot of «fast food» The menu selection was above and beyond and the hot dogs were AMAZING… The service was a little slow, but well worth the wait and I will be returning for more… family loved it as well. ;)

Stopped by just as a whim on a Monday night. It’s primarily a take-out place with just 2 small tables and a tv. The menus are huge and on the wall. Service was quick and the server was nice. I ordered the volcano which has an avocado spread, onions and jalapeños. It was good but I’m not a big fan of onions so I might have enjoyed it more if I ordered something else. Also ordered the North Carolina. This one had chili, hot sauce and coleslaw on top. This one was more delicious because the hot sauce was WoW spicy and the coleslaw was a great touch because it cooled your mouth right after tasting the spice. Also ordered disco fries which were my favorite because the fries was just the right thickness… not skinny but not thick like a potato wedge. The edges were crispy… which is how I like it. The cheese was good and the best part was the gravy because it wasn’t salty. I would stop by here again if I’m around the area. The prices are reasonable and there is lots of parking.

In terms of the hot dogs I’d give it four stars. In terms of the service I’d give it two stars, ergo it averages out to three stars. I haven’t found their service to be slow, but their personalities are lacking. The son has zero personality and if he smiled I think it would kill him. The mother is a piece of work. From day one she has been confused and frazzled. All she ever does is complain! I’m sorry, but the place has been open a little over a year and from the beginning they act as if they’ve been serving hot dogs for 10 years and that the customers are nothing but an annoyance. Why open a business then? She’s never messed up my order, but I’ve seen her mess up other people’s orders. She doesn’t listen. If your order comes to $ 5.76 and you give her $ 6.01, she doesn’t understand why and will get ready to argue with you. Because I want 25¢ back, and not pennies!!! The lack of seating indoors is a bit of a drag, especially when the weather is bad. There’s really not much that can be done with that(don’t think there’s room to expand) other than moving to a larger space. I do wish them well and it’s nice to get a decent hot dog in town, but they really do need to work on their people skills.

I have gone there a few times. 1st when it opened. Hot dogs where undercooked and service wasn’t just slow, the owners were confused. My thought was that the small place wasn’t able to handle the amount of people for the opening and they had to learn the routine. The onions rings were delish! Waited several months and went back. Only a few people inside. Service was still slow. The onion rings have changed to a nasty grocery store version and I watched the owner yell at a customer when she complained her order was wrong. The place is small so I heard this girl order and the owner did mistake it. Then the owner came out fro. Behind the counter and PUSHED the customer out the door. The customer called police and the owner and her son lied about what happened. I will never return to this place.

Owner-operated small business that busts their back to deliver quality food & quality service. While it’s not Rutt’s, it’s pretty dang good… plus it’s only a few minutes from home :) Good dogs — both boiled & fried, lots of toppings & selections, too. The classics are great though if you’re not feeling to adventurous.

Best hot dogs in Sussex County! Loved stopping here on my breaks from class or on my way home from school. Great prices and friendly owner! Very clean and I love that the kitchen is open for you to watch them make your food. I’m not picky enough to watch someone make my food but I love that I can see how clean the kitchen is. Prices here are really good. For $ 6 you can get a soda and a HUGE hot dog, i’m talking like 12 inches or nearly 12 inches and very thick, covered in toppings. You can’t beat this price! My only complaint about this place is sometimes they don’t take cards– this is because the owner uses her smartphone to process card billing. Either be cash only or take cards always! I’m sad I graduated SCCC because I wont be in the area as much to eat here, but I will definitely eat here when I am in the area! Perfect lunch spot if you’re looking to eat a little naughty and fatty. Go now. :D!

Thank you Unilocal for your suggestion! I was on lunch break the other day and wasn’t too familiar with the area so I decided to hit the nearby button on the Unilocal app and let them make a couple lunch time suggestions. It was either a nearby diner or Jersey Dog. I believe I made the better choice! Jersey dog is a small place with a decent size outdoor area and a glass enclosed area to order and a few seats to eat inside. They offer three types of hot dogs: Dirty Water Dogs(boiled Sabrett hot dogs), Deep Fried Dogs(Thumann hot dogs) and Deep Fried Foot Longs. There are also, over a dozen signature hot dogs to try. Being thst the name of the place is called«Jersey Dog» I decided to go with the deep fried Jersey Dog. The Jersey dog is a hot dog variation of the classic jersey breakfast sandwich. The hot dog is wrapped in Taylor Ham, topped with American cheese and home fries served on a hoagie and lets not forget the salt, pepper, ketchup. I know what you’re thinking; heartburn on a bun. A small sacrifice for the tasty hot dog! Being that it was a hot dog place I couldn’t resist getting fries with gravy! The gravy was a little on the peppery side, but still awesome! Can’t wait to be back in the area to try another hot dog.
