Shaw’s

It’s fine to go here if you have an afterschool club meeting in 30 minutes and you’re the designated snack-​bringer. The salad bar is decent. I always find this Shaw’s a bit annoying to navigate, but, again, it’s fine for convenience. More than anything, this Shaw’s needs a facelift and a little love. Service is nice, attentive, funny; always a plus!

This Shaw’s Supermarket is commonly known to locals as the «supermarket overpass.» My whole life I’ve driven under this location making countless trips into Boston and always was curious what it was like inside.
Well, today I finally found out and am completely baffled how anyone can shop here. First of all do not come to this location if you have a lot of shopping to do. Why? The only way to get a cart full of groceries out to the parking lot is by throwing it down a flight of stairs. I’m not kidding. There are stairs, an escalator and an electrical handicap lift that will bring you to the main shopping area. But once you make your trip to check out and proceed out you suddenly realize, «Hey, how on earth do I get this cart out the door?»
Thankfully, I only needed a few items today and my bags did not exceed three. But I’m glad my first trip wasn’t a big «to-​do» list. However, in the future I’m going to be more careful how much I buy when coming here.
