I have worked with Team Handyman a couple times previously and was happy with the communication and service. My most recent interaction with them however was insulting and I will not be using them again. I initially reached out to the company in early October to set up an hour or two of odd jobs at my home. At the time with the nice weather I was told they were doing some outdoor painting and etc. and that they’d be in touch to schedule. That’s fine, as long as the job is done prior to the first freeze. I waited until the first week in December to schedule, and took a day off work to be home. A half hour past the appointment time I emailed the admin to inquire where they were, at 1 hour past the appointment time I call the employees cell and the office line and couldn’t reach anyone. Finally the admin called back and said that the gentleman was tied up at another job and would be another hour and a half. So now we’re 3 hours late to the appointment I’ve been waiting for for 2 months. AND, because it gets dark early, he’d only be able to do the inside work and would have to return the following day to complete the jobs. First off, shame on me for waiting two months to schedule. It was obvious from the start that I was not a priority, but with my prior positive interactions with them I felt comfortable that I’d get taken care of. There’s no excuse for someone to be more than 15 mins late for a scheduled appointment without calling to let the person know. It’s not professional and it’s disrespectful to your clients. To be an hour and a half late and ultimately to be at least 3 hours late, without a proactive call to your client is insulting. Worse than the cable company. I will be taking my business elsewhere. If you are unemployed and are able to wait around for someone who may or may not show up, their work is fine.

My condo association relies heavily on Tom and his team, so when I also needed some things taken care of that we’re my responsibility, I hoped that I would be pleased… And I was MORE than pleased. They were quick to respond back to my phone call, got me estimates for a few things and showed up on time. Derek was polite, did an excellent job and left my home spotless when the job was finished. Everyone was so nice to work with, thank you Tom, Derek and Joanne! I will most definitely be using them again in the future and would highly recommend them.
