Terrene of New England

We wanted our lake house renovation to be environmentally friendly so we visited Terrene. They were great at providing ideas, pretty quick with quotes and great with follow up.
They recommended cork flooring because it’s good with water. We also did very cool counter tops made from recycled glass and other materials. Very happy with the products and the service. Highly recommend them!

Based upon what I garnered from their helpful staff, this is one of three Terrene stores in the Boston area… they all sell more eco-​friendly building supplies than your average hardware store… good for them!
This particular location is a small shop brimming with a well picked selection of bamboo, resin, cork and all manner of recycled materials that require less energy to produce than their first run counterparts… or in some cases, none at all — they also carry reclaimed bits from buildings that are slated to be demolished…
Their pickings are a bit slim for my taste in terms of home repair or any measure of construction but insofar as finishing materials go they tender almost anything of worth you can contrive — should the grain of their taste run anywhere near yours… whoever orders for Terrene has an eye for uncommon, striking designs that only occasionally trip into the realm of the inelegant…
So… if you harbor concern about the plethora of chemical agents you come into contact with on a daily basis, like the idea of a sustainable lifestyle or just have an eye for something handsomely unique that is a bit better for the world around you than components you would get at a more familiar location… this is the supply store for you…
