Ah, how could it get any better. In addition to my forced warranty issue with the finance guy, the car they sold us is also part of the diesel disaster scandal AND also contains the exploding, killer Takata airbags, which VW acknowledges but«doesn’t have the parts for a repair at this time». I guess if I see a crash coming before my TDI buy-back I’d be safer to open the door and jump out. Oh, and if you’re wondering about the greasy finance guy that duped us? After TD Bank spent 9MONTHS settling the illegal warranty charge with VW of Newton on our behalf, the dealership openly disclosed that the finance man no longer works for the company because, wait for it… he is now in prison! Just the type of staff a place like this would hire. Alas, don’t take my word for it. Just read about the suit filed by the NJ Attorney General and State Division of Consumer Affairs. The article is titled, «2 car dealerships in Newton lied left and right, state says» on at the link below. Or just Google VW of Newton lawsuit and you’ll find tons of great reading!

The two reviews on here are dated and quite unfair. I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealer. My experience has always been exceptional! I would have given them 5 stars except the service dept has had some issues throughout the years. They also need to work on getting into the new location or finding a different location. The showroom and especially the service dept needs some serious upgrading!

The worst car shopping experience of my life — won’t go into my sob story here, but if you’re itching to buy a car in the Newton area, DON’T stop here. The one star is solely for an exceptionally sweet and helpful receptionist employed there. I did buy the car, but extremely unpleasant experience. I will never do business here again.
