This review is for the MRI facility. It was not a good experience. I’m very claustrophobic and when I booked the appointment I specifically asked if they had an open MRI. I was told ‘yes’, but when I walked into the room with the machine it was clearly not an open unit. I repeatedly told the techs that I was very claustrophobic but that I would give it a try even though I had been told they had an open machine. The tech said that they considered the tube to be ‘open’ because it had 2 small windows on the sides of the tube. Not cool. No music through the headset and a panic button that was either not working or they didn’t respond. In every other MRI I’ve had done the tech will periodically ask if you are doing okay. Not here. I was completely freaked out because of the small space and the inability to communicate with anyone or get myself out of the tube. Totally NOTCOOL particularly because I was very clear that this was going to be very difficult for me. After it was over and I sat up I told them I felt a little dizzy and one of the techs let out a huge sigh. Edit: The 5 stars? For the super responsive customer service ready to address patient concerns. I would definitely consider giving the facility another try based on that alone.

This is my second trip here. I had an MRI done last time. Getting a CAT scan this time. The staff is nice, the waiting room is large with comfy chairs and couches. It’s a newer facility which is nice in Delco. Sorry, hospital facilities aren’t very exciting to review, but I like coming here and would recommend coming here for testing. It’s a Mainline Health facility, if that helps.

I see Dr. Lim in suite 300. A general MD who specializes in Women’s Health. I like the campus here– it’s easily accessible from 252AND boasts a little food kiosk on the ground floor. Parking is ample and the computer system is integrated with Bryn Mawr Hospital.

The last few times I’ve needed to get procedures done– blood drawn, gallbladder ultrasound– I’ve come here. They offer other services I’ve never used– apparently there is a sleep medicine center, a cancer center, doctors and physical therapists, diabetes management, and more. But this review is just for the laboratory and imaging services. The building is somewhat hidden, and it was confusing the first time I came here. After you turn off of West Chester Pike, drive farther than you expect, then turn left. The parking lot is actually behind the second building. It’s easy once you have figured it out, but the first time you go, leave an extra 5 minutes just in case. Parking is convenient– their lot is huge, and it never seems that busy. From the parking lot, there is a door to the cancer center or to the rest of the building. For the laboratory and imaging, you go into the rest of the building and into a room on your left. The women who check you in always seem a bit frazzled, and they have you drop off your insurance card, license, and script with them, and then tell you to head to a handful of computers to do the rest of your check-in yourself(which I actually like, but some of the other clients seem to have problems). I have seen them ask the older clients if they expect they will need help with the computer, and will go over and help them check-in if needed. Also, you don’t need an appointment for laboratory services. I’ve waited anywhere from 5 minutes to 1.5 hours to get taken back. Apparently the time of day matters– go a bit later to avoid the fasting blood draws. Once taken back, the blood draws take just a few minutes, and everybody has always been friendly and professional. When I got my ultrasound here, I was a little less comfortable– I didn’t really know what to do(it was my first one) and the technician seemed annoyed that she had trouble getting a picture or two. She just mostly shouted words at me like«BREATHE» «TURN» «STOPBREATHING». It made the experience a bit more stressful. That being said, she knew what she was doing(the doctor approved of the pictures) and she got me in and out fairly quickly. I’ll probably keep going to Bryn Mawr Hospital Health Center because it’s a convenient location and they’re usually quick and professional. However, I had no idea this place existed until one of my parents had told me. Definitely a better choice than some of the other options out there for laboratory services!
