I’ve been here a few times, so it deserves some recognition from me! The first time I tried finding this place, it was hidden in plain site. I walked past it several times before smacking myself in the head. It’s hard and easy to miss at the same time. There’s no big signage, but outside the store resembles a garden shop. Various plants and flowers making it look like an oasis. So look for that if you’re paying a visit! The store is small and isn’t anything fancy by any means, but I love it. A good spot to find organic and natural foods while supporting local business at the same time. I did notice price differences on certain items compared to other stores that make them a little cheaper. They have a nice selection of natural beauty products, as well as supplements. This is the cheapest place I find Thayer’s Witch Hazel. This is also one of the very few places that keeps their probiotics refrigerated(which is super important). I always see the same younger guy working every time I stop in, and he’s extremely kind in a chill way. I wish there were more places like this around. I hope it always flourishes in business. They deserve it. If you’re in the area and like this sort of thing, check it out. Even if you’re just buying a bar of chocolate. ;)

Grapevine has been anchoring North State Street in Ntown for years, and Chuck takes his position as organic food and nutrient provided to the community very seriously. If he doesn’t have it, he will get it for you quickly. Amazing how much fits into his small shop. My primary purposes for visiting are to buy the vitamins and supplements that generally can’t be found in the supermarkets of the area in organic form. Too, he now carries Lynn’s Coffees, bean or ground, and local roast coffee tastes best to me. Thinking globally and buying locally is important if we are to maintain Main Streets that are economically viable. Thankfully, Grapevine is a pleasure to frequent, as Chuck and his people are knowledgeable and super friendly. It just feels good when I walk into his shop and he calls out my name in greeting. I don’t get that kind of reception in big boxes. One of the coolest things about Grapevine is that in Spring and Summer the storefront is one giant hanging flower garden shop. The riot of colors from the solid wall of hanging petunias and other flora is overflowing in abundance. It is hard to find the front door from the foliage around it. But, so much fun searching for it.

What a wonderful shop that fulfills all of my hippie needs :) You can find a whole host of vegetarian foods, vitamins, supplements, all natural personal products and organic produce. They have hard to find items too like maca root supplements, vegan Worcestershire sauce, several kinds of tempeh like the totally awesome fakin bacon smoked tempeh, gluten free products and ingredients… I could go on and on. All of the staff are super helpful and if they don’t have today what you are looking for, they will gladly order it so it is available the next time you stop in.
