this music is dope. make sure you have Shazam downloaded before it even crosses your MIND; it being the operative word for a possible place to eat things with your mouth and thusly into your dumb belly.

We just had their takeout lunch! Mongolian beef, Singapore mie fun, and General Tsao’s chicken were all very hot and fresh. Very tasty and appetizing colors and flavors. Amazing leftovers ahead!

I recently ordered won ton soup to go, it was getting cold here and wanted some comfort food, won ton soup… got home and it was so disappointing that this popular eatery can not make a decent won ton! There was literally no meat in the won ton wraps in the soup… it was just won ton wrapped with a very tiny piece of meat and broth. I am Asian Americans and I am very disappointed and I think they are jipping the customers on this item. Real won ton should have a decent piece of meat in the wrappers… Plus this place is not cheap and the portions are small… can’t recommend this place for won ton soup, plus there are other Chinese take outs in the area are just as good and priced reasonably.

I forgot how much I loved this place. We don’t get to visit Newtown too often, but happened to be in the area. The dining area is nicely decorated and very clean. We sat down on a Saturday afternoon and our waiter immediately served us a pot of green tea and water. There was only one waiter for approximately 5 tables and he was very proficient and attentive. Our food was excellent, I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken which had a thin crust and delicate, flavorful sauce. Our lunch specials also came with soup and the egg drop was delicious with a mild ginger flavor. Great prices, great food and great atmosphere… what more could you ask for?

I was recommended to go here. I had the Curry Chicken & Shrimp Thailand Style and it was absolutely delicious! My husband had Buddhist Delight and Sautéed String Beans. Both were also very good and very flavorful. I will definitely be back.

New Wok has spoiled me for Chinese food anywhere else. We’ve been coming here on almost a weekly basis for years and have never been disappointed. The food is fresh as can be – bright vegetables and never overcooked or mushy as so many restaurants can make them. Just the right amount of sauces that are delicious and tasty without being too salty or sweet. Large portions mean we always have leftovers the next day. The staff is extremely courteous and professional, the restaurant has tasteful, immaculate décor with subtle music playing to set the mood. Take-out or dining in, this is one of our favorite places in the area.

If you’re looking for high-quality a-la-carte Chinese food, this is the place to go! Everything is served steaming hot, and tastes authentic. Definitely a major step up from typical take-outs or buffets. I’d recommend their crispy orange beef and wonton soup(it’s out of this world!) Best Chinese restaurant in the Danbury, CT area.

This place has good food. I give it 4 stars because the food is always too oily for me, but the flavor is delicious.

Great service and above average Chinese food. This area doesn’t have many options, so it was nice to find a place we would go to again. We had veggie spring rolls, General Tso’s Chicken and Garlic Broccoli. All very tasty.

This is the best chinese place in newtown. Fresh food. They could add some more flavoring to the lo mein and rice dishes but overall its the best around. It is pricey but I’d rather pay more for good chinese food.

Great quality Chinese that reminds me of actual food from China, rather than our greasy, salty American version. Had the General Tso chicken, wonton soup and egg roll. Wonton soup was refreshing and the chicken made with fresh ginger had just the right kick. No lunch special on Sunday but portions are more than adequate. Complementary tea had a jasmine touch that is a nice change from standard green tea, though I don’t think it was fresh brewed.

You have got to go to here if you are looking for the best Chinese food in Newtown. The service is very fast and the staff is very friendly. For the menu selection they have everything you want from a Chinese restaurant(from general tso to seafood and egg drop soup). The food you have to try is the Szechuan dumplings. They are made with fresh shrimp and pork in a delicious sauce. The prices are not that expensive either which is nice. Overall this is one of my favorite places to go in the area.

Got the pork lo mien dinner with pork fried rice. Crisp fresh veggies used. Plenty of pork! Good choice for Chinese food. A bit pricey for take out but you get what you pay for.

I’m staying in the area far from my old place so I thought I’d check out New Wok. It had a nice atmosphere. The prices were a little pricey for what it was. The brought over hot tea which I though was cool even though I don’t like tea but my friend I was with does(and a glass of water) Service was a bit slow, especially since there was just 2 other tables occupied. Wonton Soup was bland. I ordered chicken and broccoli, I liked that they served it with a scoop of white & brown. I did like their presentation though.

Nice atmosphere and service. I thought my General Tso chicken dish was a little bland, but my wife loved her flat noodle dish.

Probably the 2nd best Chinese in Newtown– I find Toro to be better but also more expensive. Interesting that within Newtown, Bethel and Southbury there is not a great Chinese restaurant. Here you will see all the usual suspects on the menu, some better than others. I can’t say anything stands out. Moo Shu pork is good. I find nothing here terribly health as most is fried and the rice and crisps are certainly not. My Healthy Chinese rt 25 Stepany offers the best Chinese without msg and offers many steamed items.

This place is just OK. During lunch they give you a soup with your meal, which was delicious, but literally only about a half a cup of soup. Such a tease. I ordered the eggplant sauce with pork. Not too much flavor and for some reason they brought over a scoop of white and brown rice. I don’t eat brown rice so it was lame how they bring it over without asking and specifying on the menu. If your in Newtown and want something a bit different then your average Chinese Mafia Menu, then give it a try. Don’t expect much, because this place is just OK, not great.

The Best Chinese Food… in the suburbs… Take out or dine in, same great consistently great food! This place has great Americanized Chinese food, definitely one of the better places in the area, probably the best in the burbs! If you choose carefully it’s actually pretty easy to eat fairly healthy as well. They offer brown rice and you could eat vegetables every meal, try the eggplant it’s mild and tasty. Also, the traditional American favorites are great as well, General Tso’s Chicken, Spare Ribs, Egg Rolls, etc and the soups are awesome too, I think the Seafood soup for two is a meal by itself. Service is always prompt, pleasant, and friendly.
