A hidden gem and a really wonderful fitness study. Over the past few years I have been to practically every fitness place in the Newtown area. I have been searching to find something like this studio. Most were either too large or too limited in their offerings. But I was determined(as in the fairy tale) to find one that was just right. The studio owner addresses fitness and health in a comprehensive approach, a mix of mind, body and spirt. It’s not unusual for a Pilate’s class to end with us sharing new recipes or healthy ideas. The studio is really beautiful, and calming. But most importantly, the owner and staff are all excellent and focused on form and alinement. They take time to see what your individual challenge is. I have issues with my back and shoulders and developed bad form after practicing multiple Pilate’s exercises wrong for years. I needed minor adjustments to understand how a few simple modifications could help me to get the most out of my exercise time. The owner patiently makes sure everyone is working at their level and helps us with modification we need for our particular body. There is also massage therapy and chiropractic help but I haven’t tried it yet. It’s a small welcoming community of people serious about Pilates and general health. I absolutely love it there.
