Delicious! I can’t believe how fast the food came!!! Our server was so friendly and patient as it was my first time here. He answered all my questions and made recommendations. The food was really good and even better they had buy a margarita get one free! We will be back!!!

This was my second time here– the food was great just like last time, but this time the waits staff was a bit slow. I mean I know sometimes the food is worth the wait– but this was a bit too long of a wait this time! It’s a great eatery, but it was such a long wait for food– it took about 45 minutes for food, and I know it’s made fresh, but my party was seated around 8, and got our food almost at 8:45; half my party left after we all are, and it then took quite a it of time for our server to come back to bring the check– and then to pick it back up. It’s a nice place– but it just was WAY too long of a wait this time…

Food is ok. Not amazing by any means… The service however is terrible. I’ve been inside to eat quite a few times and they forget something every time(sour cream, guacamole, tacos, extra tortillas etc) Not so bad because the waiter/waitress can get it for me right away. Now when I order take out which I’ve done numerous times. Every single time something is left out. Whether it be a extra sauce/tortillas, a taco, etc. It never fails with this place. How hard is it to write down what people ask for, then go down the list and check it before you give it to them?

Really good dishes, large portions, friendly good service. Enjoy it every time! However, the décor needs a little up dating, but its always clean, and full of delicious aromas!!!

When we first walked in the friendliness of the staff was excellent, this was our 3rd visit, my son found a coupon, three times my son has ordered the whole fried tilapia and it was delicious, moist inside and flavorful and crunchy on the outside, it was accompanied with rice, cactus which was spicy and delicious, the margarita special was great and the fried ice cream to die for, I tried the carne asada, stuffed publano peppers, everything was high quality and filling, will be making a 4th visit

Very good! So glad we were able to make it out here. 4 of us had dinner on a Friday night around 6:30. We had to wait about 20 min, no biggie. Grabbed a seat at the bar and had a drink. I had the margarita which was pre made, so that’s the only reason they lose 1 star. Anyway, we ordered the queso dip as an app, and it was very good, not as good as cantina loco.lol. We all had a variety of dinners, carnitas, fajita’s, pablano pepper, and a burrito. All were very tasty. No room for dessert. The service was okay, there was a bit of a language barrier, and the restaurant itself was very clean. If we are ever in that area we will definitely go back.

We visited this afternoon for lunch around 3:00. At this time of day, there were not many in the restaurant. Clean restaurant painted in standard Mexican colours with standard Mexican knick knacks. We were seated and promptly given nice warm tortilla chips with a good salsa(we also asked for warm cheese sauce, which was also very good). My wife ordered the lunch quesadilla with rice and salad. Was topped with the warm cheese sauce and the salad had a tomatillo sauce on top with queso crumbled on top. Of course I had a bite! And it was great. I was hungry! Ordered two chicken enchiladas with rice, with a side beef burrito and beef taco. I’m giving all of it two thumbs up! Right now I’ve got an enchilada in the fridge and can’t wait to eat it. We used to go to a place by the galleria called el capporelle. That was our favorite Mexican place until they closed. Now, we have a new one. Definitely worth the visit, and we’ll be back.

Stopped in for a mid week dinner, and was really glad we did. Cold draft Dos Equis Amber, queso fundido for an appetizer, nice with the 2 tortillas served with it. I had fajitas with chicken, steak, shrimp, and chorizo and it was awesome. Even the refried beans were really good. My wife had a chimichanga, and says it was excellent. Must of been, as she actually finished it, even though it was big enough for 2 people. We walked away stuffed, happy and quite satisfied with our experience! Service was awesome, spot on, and prices were very reasonable. Can’t wait to go again, especially since the good Mexican options in the falls have shrunk considerably

I came here not really knowing what to expect other than an authentic Mexican restaurant with a high Unilocal rating. I have to say that as someone who has ordered nachos at least a hundred times at many different places, this may very well be the best nachos that I have ever had. The Nachos Trio has quality chunks of chicken, steak and shrimp. Loved how the cheese, beans and tomatillo sauces all infused greatly with each other. Free chips and salsa to start was a nice touch and all the servers were really friendly.

Disappointed. I’ve had great Mexican food in Chicago so maybe my expectations are not realistic for the WNY area. The chips were warm but both them and the salsa had a very bitter undertaste. Still, I was starving so I emptied the basket. Ordered chicken tamales and rice. There was very little chicken in the tamales which featured unexpected(and unwanted) pieces of jalapeño in the corn outer portion. At least one hard as rock lump of corn found its way onto my fork as well. No idea how they achieved that in a steamed dish. Rice and the included wrinkled peas looked old and tasted about food court quality. Service was fast and polite. Place feels clean though why there are no internal doors on the two toilet stalls in the women’s bathroom, I have no idea. I’m sorry, but I cannot see how this place rates 4.5 stars.

For people who really know me they know I wouldn’t drive 28 minutes one way to see my mother on her deathbed let alone restaurant! So when I drove the 28 minutes one way to a Mexican restaurant of all places it was on a whim! I had no idea that the food would be so delicious and it’s such a reasonable or below reasonable price! This has to be without a doubt the best Mexican food that I have had in 20 years no exaggeration! All I can tell you to prove that I mean it I will be driving 28 minutes one way again and again!!! Mmmmmmmmm

First time at El Cubilete tonight with four others in our party. Great margaritas, service and food. We all had different meals, and were very satisfied. If you want quality and quantity this is the place to go! Chips and salsa are fresh and all are authentic Mexican meals. Can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

Free chips and delicious salsa, huge portions, friendly staff and delicious food. I highly recommend the ceviche, el carne, and pollo diabla. They’re also very generous with avocado. I plan on coming here whenever I am in the area again!

My mom wouldn’t stop raving about El Cubilete(which she pronounces«El Cub-e-leet» despite being half Spanish). I was a little nervous to go, mostly because of my utter devotion to La Galera while in college. However, a friend told me that El Cubilete is owned by the previous owner of La Galera, and I felt a lot less guilty. The quality of food is the same as what I remember at La Galera. I was completely blown away. Free chips and salsa? Amazing. My mom got the El Combo, which had a tamale, taco, rice, beans, enchiladas, and a chile relleno. The portions are absolutely insane for the cost and we ended up taking home tons of leftovers. I got the Arroz con Pollo, which I thought was just going to be a couple piles of rice and chicken, but it was presented in layers on a HUGE dish with chicken, rice, lettuce, veggies, and a delicious cheese sauce. The best Mexican food I’ve had, hands down. Our server was super nice, too, and everyone in the restaurant was polite. I’m not too often in the Falls, but when I am, you’ll find me here.

Update: We have frequented a few times now since my first review. I am upgrading my rating to 5 star. Though this is a no frills little place, our meals have been consistently very good each and every time. I love seeing them doing so well because, they have THEFRIENDLIEST service anywhere. Always a genuine smile no matter who is taking care of us. They clearly take pride in what they do. Always great sized portions, everything tastes fresh, delicious margaritas. I cannot say enough how much I love them.

Quick: Mexican in Niagara Falls, near outlet mall and Wegmans. Generous portions, friendly pricing. Full bar. Private parking lot. More info: This was a spur of the moment stop after visiting the mall and Wegmans. I had planned to try it ever since a review came across my feed though. As I was shopping with a visiting guest we started to think about lunch and I suggested we try this. Since my suggestion of Valle had been right on for this person, he decided to take a risk and try this one with me too. It’s easy to find. Parking is easy, but if the lot is full they have signs saying where else you can park nearby. They open at 11 for lunch and we got there around 11:15. We were perhaps the 3 table seated. More came as we ate. I bet it was full by 12:30. And probably full by 5 evenings. They have booths and tables both. Interior and window. Large menu that does have some lunch only options. We had the chicken fajitas and huevos rancheros. Huge portions. The chicken was probably a little under-seasoned but the cut pieces were a perfect size and there were plenty of them. I loved the peppers and onions. There was also some guac(perhaps could have been a little more of this) and some sour cream on lettuce. Rice and beans made up the rest on the dish. Our waters appeared, very large glasses, quickly. Our food did as well. No pressure to eat fast though. Chips and salsa arrived quickly and I thought very good. Chips seemed to be made there. I’ll happily be back here. I can even imagine making up errands at the mall to have an excuse for lunch here. Easy parking.
