The four stars are for«yay I’m a fan» — not because it’s a four star inn! It’s definitely not fancy or «nice» — but I’m a fan because of APPLIANCES!!! I was so happy to walk in and see fridge, microwave, coffee machine, HAIRDRYER and IRON and IRONINGBOARD and all at no extra request or extra cost! The room was like $ 62 with tax I think. Thought that was a little pricey, but not with the appliances it includes. At a Red Roof you have to up grade to a «business» room to get a room with a coffee maker. I was definitely thrilled with all the appliances. Room wasn’t too bad. Old furniture, kinda worn, but in good condition.(Admittedly, I like antiques and old stuff.) There was a table and chairs. Rug was worn, but vacuumed and no gory spots. Curtain was in rough shape, but I don’t care. Bed and linen were fine. Good sized counter around sink. Non-smoking room and it didn’t smell like smoke. Very convenient location. You can walk to Bob Evans, Roadhouse, or convenience store. Also on a bus line and near expressway. Bad: Vending machines were empty. I’d definitely stay here again just cause you have everything you need right there in the room and very nearby. This didn’t have the«brand spanking new» feel you get with the Red Roof or other corporate chains — but at the same price you get a lot more for your money — I’d definitely take Rodeway for being convenient and comfortable. Post Script: July 2011: I found out that most of the hotels on Niagara Falls Blvd. raise their rates during high tourism months and events. During July 2011 it was apparently«peak season» and some big hockey thing was going on — most motels were full — and their rate was $ 85 — which is how much a nice hotel room costs. He said he’d give us the AAA discount, but still came to $ 72 and I didn’t feel it was worth it. Had the same rate hike at other surrounding dive hotels. So, that explains the difference in prices from different reviewers.
