This is not what it used to be. I remember when I was younger and would come here to check out all the cool vintage stuff. I went to this location recently and was actually disgusted by the things for sale. Clothing and shoes were worn out and some staining, you can see it from afar. Furniture was broken or really bad condition. I couldn’t find anything worth buying here.

It’s in a pretty depressed looking area, a good stretch south of the main shopping area – but there’s plenty of parking and a nice selection of used goods. This is a decent. all-purpose destination for used clothing, books, and household items. They also seem to hoard donations of holiday-themed items to roll out at the appropriate time of year. Yesterday, the whole front of the store was full of artificial Christmas trees, wreaths, ornaments, and table decorations.

Thrifting to me means finding vintage dresses, lightly used clothes on occasion, home goods, fabric, or funky furniture. This place didn’t have anything like that but it did have a large stock of very used clothes & seventies furniture.

Okay, this thrift is both good and bad. First of all it seems to be very busy with a full parking lot almost all of the time. The bad is that they charge quite a lot for the quality of clothing offered. Clothing is quite worn and they are now charging around $ 8 per pair of jeans regardless of condition or style. This is quite outrageous. I really don’t want to pay $ 8 for super worn early 90’s style jeans… I can routinely find jeans for $ 5 – 10 in retail stores. I don’t know how they can get away with charging these prices for clothing, but I see people bringing up piles of clothing to the register so I digress. The good however is the plush and toys, the toy section is fairly large compared to the next to nothing they have had in the past, they have large bins of plush toys and many other loose toys sitting around which are fairly priced for a thrift. Most other things in the thrift are fairly priced for a thrift. If you want knicknacks, household goods or toys this place is great but I would avoid it for clothing, shoes and linens as you can get much better stuff from the retail stores.

You’re in the Army Now! I cant say enough about the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Niagara Falls! The building may not look like much from the outside, but once you get inside it doesn’t either. Lots of okay cloths and nicknacks(but no paddywacks! LOLOL!) and a historical furniture section that covers the mid to late 1970s. Mattressess! I buy the kids’ cloths there sometimes when I cant get to the Sal’s in my area. They like the books, but I don’t usualy buy them books… you never know who’s been chewing on them. This is the last remining major thrift store in Niagara Falls, NYork. They must have closed the others because nobody in the Falls needs them anymores. C’mon…really?
