Im not sure where this place got its high rating, but i can you the food is sub-par. As I was trying to trudge through my takeout order, I couldn’t help but think… this is how Indian would taste if being served at Shady Acres retirement home. No flavor, no spice and about as bland as the interior décor of the restaurant. For this food to be prepared by authentic Indians is nothing more than disgraceful. i will not be returning

Searching a authentic halal restaurant was an easy task, as Tandoori King was there. After a tiring day at the Niagara Falls we checked in at this restaurant. Ordered Mutton Kadai, Lamb Achari, Chicken Kadai and Butter Chicken. We as pure Hyderabadies went on with the«hot» on the scale of spicy, and believe me that was the best bet . Mutton Kadai was the best among all, looked as the home cooked food by mom. Lamb Achari and Butter Chicken were good too loved the spices they put in it, the aroma made me eat more .and more. Tandoori naan right from the stove with butter on it was fabulous. Last but not the least Mutton biryani ain’t the same as hyderabadi biryani, but yes it could resemble to the Pakistani biryani so was even good at taste. Clean place, family owned, and great nature of the owner and the chef. Will surely see you soon on our way to Niagara. — From Californians

Ordered veg biriyani and chicken biriyani. The food was terrible. The service was extremely poor. After asking for raita several times we got it just when we were finishing our crappy biriyani. Hopeless place. Feeling bad that we chose to come here. Plus the guy who was serving was sweating like anything. That killed our appetite. Every time we asked him something, he would say he’ll be back in 1 sec or 1min. I’m positive his watch is broken. Please avoid this place.

For a place called tandoori king their chicken tandoori was not good. It was dry and tasted old. The chicken tikka masala ordered medium was decent. As was the palak paneer. This place isn’t cheap so I expected better. I won’t be returning, sorry.

TOTALDISAPPOINTMENT. after seeing not a single customer in the hotel at peak lunch time, we were little skeptical about it, but as we were short on time decided to give it a try… The decision we much REGRETTED later. The food was not at all what any Indian would call Indian. Will not recommend to any one

Well I finally decided to give a restaurant 3 stars. First off the location is not that great. It’s in a area that has a downtown kind of vibe. No parking around and have to do it down a bit. The owner is very friendly and pleasant. We ordered the samosa plate which was warm and nice. The chicken tikka was flavorful but lukewarm which leads me to think it was prepared much before time and warmed when I asked for it. My wife ordered the malai kofta and the garlic naan which was good. I ordered chicken biryani which was just ok, bit more spicy than your average«American Indian» restaurant which I liked. Overall not a bad experience. Not the best in Buffalo, but not bad. If you don’t mind a shady area, and would love to have some Indian food away from the hustle bustle of the falls and it’s over priced restaurants this just might be the place for you.

Excellent. I had the chicken tikka masala and samosas. Both were very good. The waiter, maybe owner was very nice. I would certainly go back again.

Delicious, authentic Indian food! Service was fantastic! They even brought out food for my kids to try that we didn’t order. Varied menu had many choices. Buffet was good, and included dessert. We would go there again anytime!

Great food! Good service! Loved the naan, chicken vindaloo and kadhai lamb. Vindaloo is quite spicy, just the right amount though and the lamb was cooked to be soft and juicy. The owner/manager is a very friendly guy, which also adds to the experience.

Very delicious food. The place is pretty simple and We didn’t expect the food to be very good. We loved the shatni and the other brown sweet sauces. Aloo(the potato thing), kofta an chicken tikka.

I went to this restaurant when I was on vacation from NYC, pregnant, and craving Pakistani food. The food was delicious and fresh! The staff was very accommodating, and the chef made everything from scratch with butter for me after I told them I was allergic to vegetable oil. The food was so good that we went 3 times during our trip to Niagara Falls.

Ordered delivery from this place just today. My boyfriend got the Chicken Tikka Masala and I ordered their Lamb Achari dinner and we split an order of the Stuffed Aloo Naan. Order arrived and we find very small portions and barely any rice sent along with it. His tikka masala was essentially a bowl of sauce with 4 – 5 pieces of chicken swimming in it while my lamb dish was all bone shards and chunks of inedible fat/gristle. So he called them up to complain about it. Absolutely no attempt to correct the situation was made; whoever was on the phone basically sat silent after making a weak attempt to ask the chef if there was supposed to be any bones in my dish. I expected there to be bones, just not nothing *but* bones. $ 40 down the drain(I guess at least the naan was alright?). Would definitely not recommend to anyone and will not be ordering from them again in the future, especially after the poor customer service on the phone.

Good food. Malai Kofta and Chicken kababs were the best. so were the Garlic Naans. Didn’t expect the food to be as good as it was, and the service was friendly too!

Stopped here for lunch on a Friday. It is a dive(not much for décor) and very much a ‘mom and pop’ place.(which is not always bad). The food was good, the seekh kabobs were freshly prepared and flavorful. The butter chicken was flavorful and full of actual chicken, not just curry sauce. Some suggestions for the owners: 1) Make the portion size a little bigger. 2) Provide more naan(bread), 3) Provide more rice and chutneys(all kinds). We were not greeted by anyone, had to knock on the kitchen door to get someone to help us. One of the cooks seated us. However, once the ‘waitress’ came in — everything fell into place in terms of service. Service turned around with her friendly conversational manner. A couple of other things to note: Stopped after work and they were closed. Someone came to the door and said«come back in 20 minutes». Friend visited this place and mentioned that it was empty with no one to greet. She felt uneasy but placed an order. They were out of many things such as lamb, tandoori chicken, and did not have samosas or beef kabobs.

The food was great! Just was surprised by the bill for not so big of a meal. 30+. Kabob places I usually go to put all the things I order together as one meal. So I had to order everything separate. But I enjoyed my food so that’s all that mattered and my waitress was very nice. She even seemed a lil uncomfortable giving me the bill haha oh well

Great food! Homemade, flavorful and warm environment. We had the chicken karhai, daal, mix sabzi and kheer — everything was great! Of all the places in Niagra Falls this is the one you should go to.
