As far as college hockey arenas go in WNY this arena is pretty typical. There is chair back bench seating in 3 of the 7 seating sections. Seating is only on one side of the arena. Chair back seating is about $ 5 more than general admission seating. The right side of the arena has really nice chair back seats in the premium seating section. Those seats are around $ 35 ea. and I do believe some type of meal is included. Those seats are outside a box area so you would have the option of enjoying the game with heat as well. The ice surface seating entrance is located on the second floor. There is an elevator as well as stair access. The first floor has a small arcade, concessions, and the ticket office. Outside of the arena is plenty of free parking. I do enjoy watching college hockey here. The reason for the 3 stars is because this arena feels so dated. The chair back bench seats aren’t very comfortable and there is no room for people to pass in front of you. Making it extremely awkward to get up during the game. I usually reserve an end seat and find I have to stand in the isle when someone wants to take their seat. There is hardly any leg room, you’ll shift a lot to find comfortable positions. There was talk of upgrading this arena for years, I’ve even heard donations were made. Until that happens I can not really give it a higher score. Overall an accessible arena. A good place to catch a D1 game. Close enough to N. Falls, the outlets, and plenty of places to eat.
