What can I say… Its Dairy Queen in a quaint little beach community — Niantic, CT.
This is one of those ice Cream Only DQ’s and Ice Cream they do. Every Dairy Queen I drive by seems to have a line and this one was no exception…
I ordered the Oreo Blizzard and boy was it good! My mother-​in-​law had a cup of soft serve Vanilla with that imitation Strawberry sauce on it which she quite enjoyed as well.
Nothing spells summer better than Ice Cream. Sorry for no pictures this time… It was hot, I was hungry and the Ice Cream wasn’t as fast as my appetite… Next time…

I was going to Mohegan sun and I had a huge craving for Dairy Queen. There were several dairy queens along the way but I am so happy I stopped at this one. It’s a regular old fashioned Dairy Queen where you walk to the window and order. The place was full of old people buying ice cream even though the weather was in the 50s. I went to place my order and noticed they had their own special menu I have not seen at other locations. I noticed they had a malt crunch blizzard and one made with butterscotch. If I could I would have tried them all! They had my favorite ice cream topping crunchies so I knew I had to order something with it. I ended up getting the peanut butter crunch blizzard in size small. This blizzard had the perfect amount of crunchies and peanut butter topping in it. They were not stingy with mix ins at all! The blizzard was seriously the best one I have tasted in my life. This is the best Dairy Queen location I have been to and I’ve been to them all over the country. If it wasn’t 2 hours away from me I would come here once a week. My only regret was not getting a large.

When my group and I got settled in the first thing my buddy said was «WHERE THE FXXK IS THE DAIRY QUEEN AROUND HERE?!» Man. Totally killed the mood for the rest of us as we wanted to go and explore around town.
This location is close to the Sub Naval Base, so it was alright to me. Nothing spectacular since Dairy Queen is a chain store. I didn’t grow up with DQ but it’s still great on a hot day where I’m sweating a plenty.

Dairy Queen blizzards… top of the line :) I always get Chocolate Extreme with cookie dough (creature of habit at times!). The staff in Niantic were quick, and friendly! Not much more you can say about a Dairy Queen franchise as Jenny F. said how do you really review them!
