Great Food !!! The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is friendly and makes you feel right at home. If you are looking for the best BBQ place in Niceville, this is the place for you. The prices are very reasonable, so go treat yourself to some of the best BBQ that you ever tasted. We had the pulled pork combo plates with beans and fries as sides and includes a drink. …OMG !!! the flavor is amazing. It is a place that i would recommend highly to my friends… Great location and plenty of places to park. I like that you have a choice to sit inside or outside.

Had the combo meal dinner. Man, it was so dang good! I believe I just discovered my favorite bbq joint. I had the pulled pork and brisket with baked beans and corn nuggets. Those nuggets are freakishly delicious, creamy, sweet, rich loved them. I will definitely be back for more.
I give it 4stars because there was no one there, I was the only customer and that kinda scared me a little. But I continued because the reviews I read on here were all good about the place.

Our first visit here. Nice looking place, not fancy at all and the service is very friendly. We ordered a pulled pork plate and a smoked turkey sandwich. Sides were fried okra, sweet potato fries and bread pudding. Everything was pretty good. Nothing spectacular about the food but it met our expectations. The pork was a little bit squishy, like it had a tad took much fat in it. The turkey was good and the sides were good also. The bread pudding came with a rum sauce that was ridiculously sweet

Just ok. I thought the prices didn’t match what you got but the service was very friendly and the outdoor seating area was nice. Would go back and I hope business is good for them!

I have been driving by the restaurant for a year not knowing it was a restaurant. I did a search for BBQ in the area and it popped up. So, my wife and I decided to try it today and we were very pleased. We both had brisket and all I can say is that this was the best brisket I have eaten. I highly recommend this place and will start going there more.

Dined in with a few buddies. I ordered their combo meal and chose the ribs, sausage, sweet potato fries, and baked beans. The food was delicious. The only bad thing was the portions. My buddies felt the same with what they ordered.
The service was great, the establishment was clean, the food was awesome; the only reason for not being 5 stars is the portion size. But I would definitely come back just because of the quality.

Stopped in for lunch after flying in to Ft. Walton. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw and I had the smoked turkey with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious and the staff was friendly and quick. Only reason it doesn’t get five stars is the portion size was a little small on the sides. Overall very good and worth the stop.

Very good ribs and pulled pork. The entrance is inviting, outdoor patio well situated and wait staff very friendly.

As BBQ places go, this was above average. Prices are reasonable, food was very good and arrived from the cook very hot (a huge plus for me.) Had the BBQ pork sandwich. A generous portion of meat and the sauce was excellent. The fries were great! No cole slaw included with sandwich order. Manager came out to see if everything was alright. This family owned business is doing it right. Small dining area so arrive early.

Great food quality for a low price. Their pulled pork is some of the best I’ve had, and their fresh sides are fantastic. The new location is cute and rustic, and the service is friendly and efficient. I left with a full, happy tummy.

New location looks great. Hope the outdoor/​indoor area is finished soon. Deffinetely going to be watching 2015 Florida Gator Football Games here. One request for the menu for the future. Burnt ends. You could put a serving in a bowl and sell them for 5 $ Ive never met someone who could eat a burnt end and frown afterwards.

This is my favorite spot in town– no joke. I refuse to visit any other bbq establishments because they’re so good!
When you drive up and park (ample parking, by the way) you’re immediately hit with the smoky smells. The smoker is outside in plain view, no question of authenticity.
The meat itself is a mix of Carolina style with a good Texas flair. The pork is my favorite– it can easily be eaten by itself without one of the three sauces as it alone packs a huge amount of flavor. When you add the sauces it’s like magic. You have three to choose from: mild, hot or mustard. My favorite is to combine the mustard with a dab of hot– delicious!!!
Sides are plenty! They have the staples (fries, sweet potato, cole slaw, baked beans, corn fritters, etc) then daily specials. With those you could expect bread pudding, banana pudding, green beans (omg good!), Lima beans, apple pie, etc.
They’re closed on Sunday, as most mom and pop restaurants are, so get it while you can. Ask about competition ribs– you won’t be disappointed!
Heck, you won’t be disappointed by anything you get at Cold Creek :)

Overall okay BBQ… not great but far from awful. The pork is pretty good — decent smokey flavor, texture is a little on the soft side. Good sauces. I would steer clear of the brisket. It is the kind of brisket I dislike. Very firm and dry so it just comes off in perfect slices. Some others say the ribs are pretty good so I’ll be back to try those. But overall not a great value as it’s a bit overpriced. Friendly staff though!

Good BBQ with down home sides made each morning by an 82 year old lady. You know it’s good cookin’ if grandma is making it! Pulled pork was tender and juicy. Service was exceptional. They weren’t busy but sometimes that’s worse than when they are when it comes to server attention. We weren’t let down! Sweet, mustard or hot BBQ sauce choices and all the down home sides you expect (okra, coleslaw, potato salad, field peas). Family platters available, to go and lots of beer choices.

This is now called Cold Creek … moved out to the front of the property in a new bldg and new name. I used to go to Hog Heaven for BBQ, but this is every bit as good … if not better.

I went to the New Cold Creek BBQ. The service was awful and it wasn’t even busy. The food was okay. I was suprised that the best thing about the whole experience was the mustard bbq sauce. Being new, I thought it would be better. It wasn’t as good as the original Benny’s.

New location is open for business! Nice little place that makes you feel like you’re family. Food is just as great as it ever was with very reasonable prices. My wife purchased a smoked turkey from them a while back since I was deployed for Christmas, and she said it tasted GREAT. If you’re looking for a place a little off the beaten path (read NOT a chain restaurant) do yourself a favor and give these guys a try.

As of March 18, 2015 they are closed for renovation and relocation. The lady i spoke with said they will be open next week near the Po Folks.

Great Ribs! We really liked everything about our meal. Staff was helpful since it was our first time here.
Good local bbq joint.

Excellent brewed iced tea. The pulled pork sandwich had excellent flavor and the meat was very tender. Only complaint is that the ‘hot’ hot sauce was only mild.
