Same nothing ever changes in there. Was there yesterday. Got some fantastic deals but the worst staff I’ve ever run across. I do a lot of crafting and just shop at Joanns and Michaels because I hate driving out there to deal with the rudest, most unwelcoming staff ever.

This store is my favorite place to find all sorts of different and unique items for decorating my clients’ homes, from lamps to rugs to quality pieces of furniture. I do wish they were open 7 days a week for convenience sake, however I share the same beliefs as they do so I can’t complain about the reasoning behind it. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’ve never been before!

I could easily spend my whole paycheck in this place if I didn’t have so much self control! This store has everything that you could ever imagine to decorate your home. Hobby Lobby also carries craft and party decorations. The sales associates are helpful and friendly, which is probably partly due to the fact that Hobby Lobby pays their staff better than most retail establishments.

Best craft store to get all your supply needs! I also love their home décor, frames, and holiday décor. They always seem to have a great discount on items, 30−50% off! Even new holiday décor has a discount! After holiday discounts go up to 80% off! Michaels craft store may have some of the same selection by they lack the wonderful discounts… all about discounts!

Framing has become an expensive proposition. I ventured to Hobby Lobby with a piece of artwork by a local artisit that had been sitting unframed for months, thinking all the while about the possible sticker shock. The young man(Unfortunately, I neglected to get his name.) at the framing counter could not have been more courteous and helpful. He found me a great ready-made frame that was perfect for the piece, thus reducing the cost, which turned about to be very reasonable. He suggested he could complete the framing while I waited. I wandered around the store, and twenty minutes later, he was done. Perfect! He even made a little«pocket» on the back for the certificate of authenticity. It is finally on my wall, pleasing my eyes.

My daughter is an artist and I often find myself at Hobby Lobby. I’ll use the excuse of her artistry supply needs to feed my home décor shopping habit. The home décor is plentiful… I could spend a years worth of pay at one time, but I have to use self control. They have what I believe to be the area’s largest selection of artificial floral supplies. This was the first of the two local locations. Hobby Lobby is similar to Michael’s because they offer many craft supplies and framing. But HL sells a lot more home décor. I’ve used the framing services several times and it was always on time and I was always satisfied with the results. Usually they have an electronic, scan able promo code on their app… just a suggestion… thank me later ;)

I used to shop at this store all the time for my family’s hobby needs; and we have a lot of them. But after one little incident regarding fabric; them claiming it’s measurements to be 18“x21″ and the fabrics NOT being those measurements and the bloody HASSLE they gave me in returning them was NOT worth the hassle but on principle needed to be returned. They have LOSTMYBUSINESSFOREVER! I will continue to buy my fabrics at reputable quilt stores only and take the rest of my family’s hobby needs elsewhere. So disappointing for a Christian business.

I have been in a Hobby Lobby only once or twice in my life. I went to this location to have some custom framing done — the local shop I previously used went out of business. I brought all the items that I wanted framed with me, so I was already carrying 6 – 7 items. I shopped around and found one frame to suit my needs. Then, I headed to the«custom» area to wait on help from an employee. There was an employee there assisting another customer. He did not acknowledge me — nor did he ever. Another employee came to the station and seemed to be puttering around. He then began gluing mats together — much like the other employee, he did not greet me nor did he acknowledge me in any way. After about 10 minutes of standing there, the first employee had finished with his customer; he still did not acknowledge me. The second employee finally turned and said, «do you have a question or something?» I said that I did indeed need help. He told me that when he was finished with what he was doing he would help me. After about another 5 minutes, I decided to leave. On my way out, I did buy the frame that I had found. The cashier asked me about my experience. When I described what happened, she looked at me, mouth-agape, and with a purely disgusted tone said, «He told you he was working on something.» The cashier was disgusted that I had a problem with the conduct and response of the employee. Frankly, I found this to be the most offensive thing about my trip to Hobby Lobby. I am not sure what kind of business would be disgusted with a customer for expecting to be properly acknowledged and/or helped after 15 minutes and would be perfectly content to lose hundreds of dollars in business. This store has no desire to provide customer service of any kind. There are many reasons not to consume goods from Hobby Lobby; their poor attitude and customer service is just the cherry on top.

Having learned about Hobby Lobby from some American friends living in Canada, I was thrilled to find out on my last trip home that Lexington has not just one, but TWO locations! While we only wish we had access to one here, I’ve begun making Hobby Lobby a stop on my list when we come home. I’m not too familiar with how long this store has been open, but like the others I’ve been in, it’s clean and organized, there’s a wonderful selection of EVERY thing one would need to craft, and the best thing yet — the prices seem to be better than Michael’s. On this particular trip, I purchased some fabric for sewing projects to last me through the cold winters. I was in a bit of a rush, with both my husband and dad waiting on me, but was able to quickly locate what I was looking for(it just happened to be on sale as well) and there was a staff member to assist with cutting the correct yardage. While she wasn’t incredibly friendly, I did get the help I needed in a timely fashion. The fabric section isn’t huge, the service wouldn’t compare to that of some specialty sewing stores, but this store certainly is one of my favourite places to spend a little time(and money) when I’m able!
