I spoke to Kelly and ordered flowers yesterday and they were beautiful! I told her what I wanted and she far exceeded my expectations. Bravo!!!

We like to deal directly with the local florists, rather than call an 800 number and take our chances. We have done business with this florist several times to send flowers to our beloved family in Nicholasville. We recently sent flowers for a special birthday and received pictures of the birthday lady with her bouquet. The flowers were even more beautiful than the pic on the site and the look on the birthday girl’s face was priceless. We LOVETHEWAYTHISFLORISTTAKESSPECIALCAREOFOURFAMILY.

I ordered a SILK Christmas wreath on Wednesday afternoon for my Uncle’s funeral visitation from 4−8pm on Thursday. The cost was $ 80 not including delivery which seemed high but my entire family has used this florist for weddings, funerals, etc since I can remember. At 5:38pm on my way to the visitation, my brother informed me the wreath was not there. I called the florist and was told, «It’s been busy.» When I asked if I could come pick it up and deliver it myself, I was told, «No.» No apology, no explanation why it still wasn’t ready halfway through the visitation. I called my husband and asked him to call them because I was already emotional having to go to the funeral home. He called me and told me they said I could pick it up so I headed that direction. 2 – 3 minutes later he called again and said they called him back and said it wasn’t ready and when he protested, they hung up on him. At this point, it’s 6:00 and I am at the florist. Needless to say, I was not my best self but even a week later I still feel justified because they hadn’t done so much as apologize as the«professionals» who hadn’t held up their end of the contract. I stormed in and yelled, «Is it your business practice to hang up on people???» There were 3 – 4 women and 1 older man standing there and the women all looked terrified. The man said something like, «Whoa, whoa, whoa» which further irritated me because«whoa» as their mantra was the PROBLEM. I’m not sure if I actually said anything else at this point but the women had no response and I finally said, «I will never do business here again!» The man said, «thank you» as snarkily as possible before I slammed the door and went to Wal-Mart for a cheap wreath and poinsetta to give my Aunt. As far as I know, the florist never delivered anything and I haven’t heard from them since. I thought about writing to them once emotions died down but I don’t think that will happen and since they are supposed to be the«professionals», they should’ve taken initiative. My goal now is to let as many people as possible know about my experience to help them avoid a similar fate. There is nothing worse than breaking down at a funeral home over an unneccessary matter and not being able to be there for your family.
