Terrible customer service! 15 dollar credit card minimum and super rude owners. I was asking questions about the menu and they looked really annoyed to be answering questions. The food wasn’t even all that great anyway. I asked them for more rice and they refused. I suggest they really work on their customer service. The prices on food is outrageous and not even high quality. What a shame since they can be really great seeing as though they have potential for a lot of walk-in traffic. I suggest going anywhere else but here.

Haven’t had the food yet, but this old guy has horrible horrible horrible attitude!!! I was waiting for my take out in front of his counter, it was about 10 mins, and he asked me to leave and wait somewhere else because I was blocking his counter!!! Seriously??? So I’m not a customer??? Beside I wasn’t even blocking anybody!!! Maybe food is not bad but I will definitely give him a negative star for his sucky sucky attitude!

Tucked inside Super H Mart, I dream about the #12 — Dol Sot Bibimbob — steamed rice with vegetables and beef in a hot stone bowl. It might not be fancy — but damn, is it delicious. Delicately topped with an egg yolk to mix everything together — let the rice crisp up on the bottom of the bowl, add some sriracha, and mix all of that together for one of the most delicious food court lunches you’ve ever had. The scallion and seafood pancake is also very delicious — crisp throughout, not soggy in the center like some others I’ve had.

After spending time at the spa next door, we had lunch here. It’s always a good sign to see locals eating at a place like this. Nothing fancy, but totally authentic. The kimchi was some of the best I’ve had. A little pricey for a ‘food court’ restaurant. Large portions. The staff was friendly. It’s fun to shop the store when finished.

Sadly, disgusting shit. The owner openly admitted to putting MSG and it sorely lacks flavor or depth. What an expensive disappointment.

I have eaten here a few times shopping at H-Mart and have plenty of experience eating at Korean food courts and Korean fast food type places. The food here is good but a bit overpriced. The owners are very stingy with the side dishes which make Korean cuisine so popular. If you don’t believe me check out the pictures here on this page and compare them to any other comparable place. There is also a credit card minimum and take out charge. I don’t like calling people cheap but in line with other comments made here, you will get dirty looks asking for another utensil, another napkin or even a Styrofoam cup to pour some tap water up front. Do not expect any service or courtesy here(Korean or not). It’s really a shame to see the owners treat customers poorly like this, there’s no need for it. The entire family really needs an attitude adjustment.

We drive an hour to eat here. We love the dol sot bibimbap! The hot sizzling bowl makes the rice nice and crispy on the bottom. It’s so delicious.

I used to get food here every time I went to H Mart. I had gotten ok service and ok food each time, until one time, after I had gotten my food and sat down, I needed to get some extra napkins. The owner looked me up and down, not recognizing me, and sharply asked me whether I had bought food from there. I said yes. Still eyeing me suspiciously, he gave me ONE napkin. If they’re that stingy with a single napkin, where are they getting their meat and ingredients??? Another time, my mother sat down and had one of their bottles of vinegar on her tray because one of the staff put it there when handing her her tray of food. A minute later, the owner himself came out, and without a word, swiped the bottle off the tray while we were sitting with my family. Again, if they’re that stingy with a few drops of vinegar, or cannot buy extra few plastic bottles for customers, I shudder to think how they cut costs in the kitchen!

Overpriced. Quality isn’t anything special, prices are pretty absurd for the quantity and quality.

$ 15 credit card minimum. $ 0.50 extra for take out. Expensive for what it is — cafeteria/food court type food. Not very tasty but convenient when I am late grocery shopping and want to pick up dinner. If time permits, I prefer sit down at San Soo Gab San, they are cheaper and give you at least 12 ban chans free. Also tastier to me and feels nicer since it’s an actual restaurant.

Went for lunch while shopping at H-Mart in Niles. Got the spicy beef soup, and the flavor was great! I’m giving it 3 stars because it is too expensive, the food is not very abundant and the servers seem rude and angry. Otherwise, I will probably stop by again when I need to go to H-Mart and it’s time for lunch or dinner. BTW, they only accept credit cards if you spend up to a certain amount(can’t remember the amount)

AWFULSERVICE. Not the inattentive/indifferent kind. The unnecessarily rude/mean kind. A previous reviewer said you get bad service if you don’t speak the language. Not true! They do not discriminate! You get bad service with regards to your language skills. I speak Korean fluently and was treated poorly on numerous occasions. I have tried to give them the benefit of doubt, because I am desperate for a good, fast, cheap Korean place. But I am not going back due to the ridiculously rude service. The food isn’t great either, but not awful. It’s basically what wold be considered as cafeteria food level in Korea. Tip: The older lady is mean. The older man is meaner. At times there are younger folks working out in front and they tend to be less rude.

This place offers a variety of Korean dishes at a bit above average prices. The man at the cashier takes the orders and gives you a square pager thingie that buzzes and lights up when your order is ready. I ordered the spicy squid dish and it was ready in about 5 minutes. It came with rice and a side of kimchee and sauteed beansprouts. They offer styrofoam cups to fill up with water from a water pitcher next to the cash register. They also sell other drinks in case you want some soda or tea or whatnot. The food was good and the service was good so I’ll probably give them another try sooner than later.

Nasty attitude to customers. I asked an extra chopstick but awful response from the owner. Won’t go there anymore

Love Korean, but the kimchi jigae was not good. Wife eats anything and we had to toss it. The tiny bit of pork that was in it had a funky aftertaste and the sides looked week old. There could be something good there, or fresh if it were at a busier time…

The food is good enough. You’re hungry, you’re in a grocery store, and you want to eat. The bibimbap is pretty good and they bring it out still steaming hot. Also, I got the bulgolgi beef and it was delicious. They serve it with some vegetables and rice. The tables are always disgusting.

I want to review this higher, as it was one of my first Korean experiences. but the quality has gone down the longer this place as been here. They guy is ALWAYS rude no matter what, free water is tepid and just«out there»… exposed to microbes which freaks me out. Okay, I’m over thinking this I know. The food *was* good, but seriously you charge extra for take-out? Thats crazy! My favorite is the squid, but the prices are so high in comparison to what you get(which I’ve noticed the prices are normal for Korean restaurants, just the quantity varies) If you want a full meal set here go here, but its a food court and this isn’t a real Korean restaurant, just go to Manna right next to it for some quick and delicious bites instead!

The Pork Bulgogi was AMAZING. I highly recommend it. They give you a huge portion of your main entrée. Unlike your normal Korean places, Du-Re-Bak plays light on the condiments. That’s okay by me; this is fast food. You get your food on a metal tray with indentations for the side dishes — which makes you feel like an inmate or middle school student — and a HUGE bowl for your food. Again, fine by me.

Finally settled on here after checking the other stalls. Chicken Bulgogi — It was good and the sides were scarce. Mackerel — My sister got this and it was too fishy of a taste to enjoy. Overall, food was not that great and pricey.

This is a food station located within the food court of H Mart. Pick any item and many are entrees which come with Kim chi, white rice and another kind of relish. Entrees are about $ 10+ and it takes about ten minutes for them to prepare. Eat there in the food court or take it to go. I had a hankering for Sam kyub sal Kim chi bokkum take out, think long strips of bacon prepared with fried kimchi, onions, etc. The taste can sometimes be slightly sweet and a bit spicy due to the Kim chi. The taste was just very average, prepared by a novice maybe. The dish was so oily there was oil leaking out of the bag, on my carpet in the car and then all over the table. The almost twelve dollars spent on the dish was far too much spent for mediocre. One thing for certain, it’s hard to find this dish at any Korean restaurant for a lessor price. If I could, I’d rate them 2.5 stars for now.
