Friends took me here for a quick lunch before we head out of the town. I was surprised with their great selection of items both Chinese, Japanese and some Korean dishes as well. One big plus is the frog legs, try it, it tastes like chicken and you wont even notice the difference :). Service is good and place is crowded during lunch and I am sure its the same for dinner. Overall, a great dinning experience here, price is not cheap but its worth it.

This was a delightful choice that made the whole family happy, there is decidedly something for everyone, from landlubber to sea lover, from adult to young child. I am not a fan of buffet but this is one in which you can find food that is fresh and cooked to perfection. Among our group(the entire families of our three sons), there are some huge sushi fans and they were happy. The restaurant is also very clean. My only complaint, albeit a small one, is the carpeting, which for some reason made me feel as if I were not in the nicest restaurant. Everything else, however, was superb and the wait staff was congenial and very helpful and there when you needed them.

Whenever I come here I’m never satisfied. I believe that most buffets just start to downfall after time. When I’m paying 28 dollars for a meal, I want to have a lot of options to choose from but I only end up eating the udon noodles and shrimp dishes. The lobster here is subpar and not impressive. The sushi is alright but it’s very simple with simple ingredients. I wouldn’t come here again, but my family always insist coming here so I have no choice. Save your money and eat a nice steak dinner somewhere else.

I prefer coming to the movie theater up here, as opposed to going to the ones downtown. Half the price and free parking. And this is the only place that serves alcohol in the same shopping center. So when I had some time to kill before seeing the new Star Wars, my friend and I walked over here for drinks and something to snack on. We sat at the bar and had some very well priced, strong mixed drinks. However, we were not able to get any food because there is no a la carte menu. You either pay $ 39.95/per person for the all you can eat sushi/crab legs buffet or you eat nothing. Since we didn’t want to gorge on cheap seafood prior to sitting in a theater for 2 hours, we chose nothing. Also, the bar is set up as where the bussers take piles upon piles of used plates and set them on it. So the entire time, I was seeing/smelling crab legs and uneaten sushi directly next to me. I realize that this is primarily a buffet, but they are doing themselves quite the disservice by not paying more attention to their bar. Like I said, this is the only place serving alcohol next to the movie theater. You would think they would want to grab some of those movie goers in for drinks before/after the movie. Make the bar more appealing(but keep the prices the same) and liquor sales would probably triple. ***Edit: They should offer a special that if you buy 2 drinks and show theater ticket stubs for that day, you get a complimentary appetizer sampler. How hard would it be to throw a couple crab rangoons and egg rolls on a plate. Yes, I am a marketing genius. You’re welcome.

I had Ginza with my family over the weekend and overall I found it to be good. I wouldn’t say the food is spectacular but overall, the experience was average. I had their NY strip steak and it was pounded thin and the edges had a lot of cartilage and fat. I prefer lean meat with a thicker cut. Also the meat was cooked more on the medium well side and I prefer my steaks medium. The upside to this was the steak had good flavor so at least that made it edible. As for the sushi selection, I thought those were solid and they had a lot to offer. There’s even a section to choose an assortment of roes which I’ve never seen before at an Asian buffet. Now for the seafood. There is a line for the seafood and I tried the lobster on a half shell, clams, lobster claws and their crab legs. With regards to their lobster on the half shell and crab legs, it never fails that I find these things consistently overcooked at the buffet. They look cooked and look pretty, but most of the time, the lobster and crab meat is on the tough and rubbery side. The only thing that was cooked just right were the lobster claws which I enjoyed the most along with the sushi and fried veggie tempura. Desserts were decent and loved the little cakes and the foam hospital style ice cream cup assortments were okay too. Would I come back? Probably not. But if I had to go again, save your money and go during the day for half the price.

Great buffet, the food is much cheaper when you go there for lunch. One of the best asian buffets in the Chicago-land area.

great seafood, sushi, asian foods selection. people told me that this place is like the royal seafood buffet in schaumburg but i dont necessarily agree. the schaumburg place has waaaaaay more food variety for the same amount. this place has more sushi selection tho. this place serves lobster but cuts it in half so u dont get the whole lobster cuz u only get half of one at a time. service was quick and pleasant. place was packed for a ransom tuesday night. it was also filled with other asians so u know the food is good.

I’m no expert on food but I definitely know quality! I’ve had my share of Steak — Sushi — Seafood style buffets and I’ve got to say I was not impressed with Ginza. There was obviously a decent selection of Sushi, Meats, Seafood, Desserts… Aside from the tempura sweet potatoes where were the other vegetables?! I came in with a group of 6 adults and 1 child last night, Sunday, for dinner. What I liked about the place was that it wasn’t disgustingly packed with long lines. The atmosphere was surprisingly clean, it wasn’t loud, and good vibes all around! No clutter, all the food sections were well maintained in terms of — there wasn’t food all over the place. One thing I did notice was the empty food trays! From experience I’m used to seeing attendants at every food station to replace/refill empty trays almost immediately when it’s close to empty. When we did our first round I must have passed by a couple empty trays with no attendants to ask when certain dishes would be ready. My first plate was definitely weak for a buffet but I was hopeful that my second plate would be much better. I won’t get into my second plate, only because it was very much like the first. My first plate was very basic: Rice, Calamari, Coconut Shrimp, Tempura Sweet Potatoes. Everything was ok; I will say that everything was a little on the salty side! Again, everything was just ok, salty but thankfully edible! I had very high hopes and maybe I set my expectation too high. What made it harder to swallow was the fact that our waitress rarely checked on us and more importantly our drinks. Everyone at the table seemed to share the same thoughts about how salty our dishes were and again everyone felt like it was just ok! I should mention that I am a vegetarian, which includes no red meat — chicken — seafood. I made an exception last night to eat seafood, I rarely do that and I feel like I wasted my «Pass» for the year lol. My Boyfriend on the other hand eats meat. He had the New York Strip Steak which he found to be extremely chewy, not what he was expecting at all because everything looked great. He did enjoy the wide selection of chicken options! I was actually surprised at how little he had to eat, seeing how he’s 6’2″ and well built. I’m pretty petite and feel like I definitely ate more than he did… that alone says our experience was kind of a bust! Everyone at the table seemed to have had between 2 – 3 plates. I should mention that the attraction of the buffet — the lobster dish — wasn’t something they raved about at our table. We did discuss, aside from the Soy Sauce at the table, there were no condiments to be found! I thought that was a little weird, seeing how most buffets have a station dedicated to condiments! One of our guests said the crabs would have been better with a little butter but again it was no where to be found. We did have a child at our table and she definitely expressed her lack of interest in the Kids options. I do understand why, from what I remember the choices were French Fries and Chicken Nuggets which were all mixed up into one tray — I found that weird. They also had Spring Rolls that were mixed with Mozzarella Sticks which was a total WTF moment, seriously?! I ended up paying well over $ 60(+) for the two adults, no drinks other than water. Considering what we ate, I honestly feel like I ended up paying way more than I needed to. I would put Ginza in the Quantity over Quality category. I did see a great number of people stressing on pricing but considering i’ve had my fair share of Asian Style Buffets(Royal being one of them) that have a greater selection, and are larger in terms of the food stations, Ginza was pretty small and unfortunately packed a weak punch compared to it’s competition. I’m not totally ruling this place out completely. Other friends have told me that lunch pricing isn’t as much. That said, I can see this place being a better choice for a weekday lunch/early dinner. So I’m willing to give Ginza a second chance, maybe.

Pro: Delicious food. Very friendly waitstaff who always dote on my toddler.(I mean, to be fair, she is the most gorgeous child in the world.) Con: It’s expensive for a buffet of this size. I would like to see a wider selection if I’m paying $ 60 for two adults and a toddler. Bonus: I’ve never gotten sick eating the seafood here! I’m still not brave enough to do buffet oysters though.

When I went the cost for dinner was $ 24.95/pp. That is a BARGAIN for what you get. Tons of delicious and fresh Asian offerings… your typical General Tsao’s chicken, Mongolian Beef, etc. But you also get lobster tails! They bring them out often and serve them to you. They are delicious! The crab legs are equally wonderful… and cut open so all you have to do is pull out the meat. Not only do they offer every kind of seafood(oysters…fresh and Rockefeller), clams, peel and eat shrimp, mussels etc., etc., etc they offered steak also. Mine was hot, a perfect medium rare and very tender. The salad and dessert selections are equally wonderful. The atmosphere is beautiful and warm, the waitstaff friendly and accommodating and over all I enjoyed myself immensely.

Not much of a selection for $ 25 tbh. The food isn’t bad, what is bad though is the attitude of the staff that left a bad taste in my mouth… I asked if I could have a hand roll from the sushi maker(in my most kind way possible) and he said«can’t you see I’m busy?». I reported it at the manager but could care any less, pretty much. I work customer service too and knows what life is like to be part of a business, so I am always kind to anybody in general because we don’t know their stories…

If you love buffet, you know the best days to go are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. So, I had my reservations when a friend asked me to visit Ginza on a Wednesday night. To my delight, they have all my favorites and then some. As a seafood lover, I was very happy to see clams, shrimp, crabs, oyster, squid, snow crab leg, and lobster. Yes, plenty of lobster on a Wednesday night. There is a huge selection of sushi and sashimi as well as steak and ribs and fish. The fruits and dessert section look pretty«sweet». The staff were very friendly and provided great service. Dirty plates on my table were quickly taken away to make room for more food. The place is clean and all the guests seemed to enjoy themselves. I spent a little time chatting with the manager who is just wonderful. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I plan on taking my family there soon. Even on a weeknight!

I’ve been to this place several times, and if you really like seafood — especially lobster tail, I think it is worth it the cost. You can truly get all you can eat lobster tail and it isn’t like those places that restrict you or make the lines so long that you can’t eat more than one or two lobster tails. Every time I have gone, I usually am able to get three to five lobster tails. And I’m stopped only by my own ability to keep eating. I also think it’s one of the better Chinese buffets in the Chicago/near Chicago area. As for the other types of food they have, you have a good number of seafood choices — like mussels, fresh oysters, abalone, snow crab legs, grilled calamari, and seabass. Shrimp on a stick, boiled shrimp, garlic shrimp. The sushi is also pretty good, although their sashimi selection is kind of lacking. I would recommend getting the sushi that’s light on the cream cheese filling unless you really like that stuff. Then, you can save more room for the good stuff. They also have typical Chinese buffet items like fried rice, hot and sour soup, noodles, and orange chicken. The dessert section is pretty typical too, with selections like ice cream, fresh fruit, and mini-cakes. To sum it up, I would recommend: (1) Lobster tail(load up on it to make it worth the cost!) (2) Sushi items without cream cheese fillings (3) Salmon sashimi (4) Certain seafood items, like the giant clam looking shells with bean sprouts and jalapeño peppers, and the one with vermicelli.

I have absolutely no idea why people rate Ginza less than 5 stars. Delicious snow crab legs, lobster, seabass, scallops, clams, muscles, and an amazing amount of other delicious food like sushi, sashimi, desserts… and too much good stuff to write about. This place is simply to die for, if you are thinking about passing it up… at least look at the buffet to see what you are missing. We stopped by to look at the buffet. And after seeing all they offer we could not leave! You have got to try this place, at a minimum.

Holy shit!!! A place that serves UNLIMITED lobster, clams, scallops, oysters, crab legs, sashimi, and other seafood actually exists for less than $ 30!!! This place is literally heaven on earth. Sure you have to wait in line for lobster and they only give you half of a lobster each time but who cares? Just go again and again until you’re satisfied! They also have a ton of sushi, generic buffet food like coconut chicken, spring rolls, fries, etc, so this joint is definitely for everyone. If you don’t like seafood, the ribs are also worth a try. There are many types like the Korean BBQ one and the sweet red one, but they’re all cooked to perfection and are flavored powerfully. This place also has Sapporo and Tsingdao beer. I’m originally from the east coast so Tsingdao is hard to find. What a treat. I’m definitely gonna come here as often as I can for as long as I can, and so should you!

You can eat all of Ariel’s(the Little Mermaid) friends and their babies here(caviar/roe). There’s lobster, oyster, snow crab, shrimp, fish, dungeoness crab, crawfish, clam, conch, scallop, abalone, and more. Other choices include steak, ribs, frog legs, and chicken. Not bad for a buffet!

My family had been eating here for a couple years now. Every time we come back, it’s because we forgot how horrible the experience was the last time. The tables feel sticky, the food is sub-par, and I have witnessed kitchen staff put food that had fallen out of trays back into the trays to be served to patrons. I can’t understand how all the other reviewers are excited about the sushi. It’s disgusting. Most of the fish on the nigiri is hard and dry to the touch. Who ever is making it cuts the fish so thin that you can practically see through it and he/she squeezes the rice with a fist of death. It is so compact, it’s like eating a rock. If you’re interested in quantity over quality, and want to spend almost $ 100 for three people, then this is the place for you. If you just want sushi, hitting up a random grocery store for sushi would be much fresher, and more satisfying.

Ginza Steak & Sushi in Golf Mill Mall is a very nice buffet restaurant. While I tend not to frequent buffets very often because they usually stress quantity over quality. The ambiance inside Ginza is much nicer then the standard buffets this coupled with food that better quality then most buffets. They have a large selection of sushi rolls, sashimi, cooked fish, shell fish like oysters, clams, shrimp… and a nice selection of cooked meats, chicken… We went tonight with a group of 18 of my wife’s co-workers and their spouses. For dinner it costs $ 22.50/person. They have lobster and crab at dinner on certain nights, but call first to confirm the days when this is available. Unfortunately the lobster isn’t brought out very often and I found the plate empty more often then not. Lunch on Monday thru Thursday for $ 12.35/person is a much better value, while they don’t have the crab or the sparse portions of lobster they have virtually everything else. There is more then enough food and at $ 12.35/person and it’s a much better value.

I’ve been to alot of buffets but this one was probably the worst. The food looks great at first but after eating a couple trays, i alrdy lost my apitite. The sushi doesn’t taste that great, they taste kinda bland. The crabs doesn’t taste that well. The only thing that was worth was probably the lobster tail and the crab legs. The service is pretty slow and this is on a slow day. Some of the servers likes to talk to each other than focusing on the customers. I had to wait 30 min to refill my water after asking a server. –_– not rly worth paying here…
