I absolutely love shopping here. This GFS is total nirvana compared to Costco, Jewel, etc. The aisles are wide and clutter-free, the store is extremely clean and the staff is unbelievably friendly. I enjoy shopping in quieter, less chaotic establishments and GFS is excellent. I’ve been to this location about a half dozen times since one of the Asst. Managers came to my place of employment to introduce herself and dropped off some information. She has been fabulous to work with since I began my relationship with GFS. GFS is less than a mile down the road frame where I work, so it’s extremely(almost too) convenient. :) Anything and everything you could ever need for a big party, fundraiser, pantry stocking, business/office essentials and more is here. GFS carries a lot of name brand items, as well as their own generic GFS products. In the past I have purchased coffee, soda, desserts, chips, cookies, cakes, pre-made salads, bagels, chili, beef, buns, taco stuffings, guacamole, produce, disposable tablecloths, paper products and décor items. I’ve never had a problem with anything. Quality has been far above average. I find that their prices are extremely competitive, too. I appreciate the fact that they break down pricing on their shelf tags. For example: they break down soup costs and give you the price per serving. This is very important in my line of work. 3/$ 9 name brand soda sales are awesome. Stock up! Most items are sold in bulk, so be prepared for that. They don’t offer a huge variety of fresh produce items, but they do sell the essentials; apples, oranges, strawberries, salad mixes, etc. I have yet to shop here for my own home, but if my business needs something and GFS has it I’m going here. Sign-up for email alerts. They typically include a $ 5 off $ 50 purchase. I just got(2) $ 5 of $ 50 coupons via snail mail that I’ll definitely be able to use. Great parking lot; clean. Shopping carts are well-maintained and corralled in one place. You won’t find carts all over the parking lot or miscellaneous trash. I’ll definitely take advantage of online ordering if they start offering that service. Order online and pick-up in-store. No membership necessary. GFS is open to the public.

I went for the Market Days chicken. The few times in here it has been a ghost town. I wanted to purchase coffee cups. Grabbed the cups and the wrong tops for it. I did not want to go back to get the tops so I did not buy either. I would have thought that the cashier would have gotten them for me Especially since there was no line.

If you are looking for food or items to do a party, it’s very possible that you can find EVERYTHING under this roof. Rest assured, they deal in large quantities and the items are well-priced to pricey. It all depends on what you want to pick up. The meats are excellent. They have a large selection of munchies for all your parties. We needed something for a Christmas Party we were going to and stumbled on their assorted cheesecake slices package, which was almost $ 8 off, and arounf $ 10. It was the hit of our party. You can get some very nice buys there. If you have a freezer and a small family, watch for their specials. If have a large family, I think this is much better than Sam’s Club, and will even give Costco a run for it’s money because it’s not a «club.» Oh, did I mention that there are always samples in the aisles and warm samples on the weekends? Sometimes I do leave there satisfied with their samples. A nice way to bring in business. And the store Manager, Bruce, is a wonderful guy. They will try to order things for you, too, if not in stock.

Glad to see this company expanding, if you need some food or party items this is a very good option to instead of Costco or Sam’s. Here you can pickup paper products, cups, glasses, plastic utensils, all that sort of stuff and the food that goes with it. We’re not always throwing parties, but we do have a freezer, so picking up a box of steaks, or a box of 48 chicken breasts, and put them in the ice box, works for us. I wrote a review for their location on Cicero Ave., so you can see that one for more details, suffice it to say GFS is the place to go if you want to skip luggage, cell phones, books, clothing, outdoor furniture, that sort of thing. This place is about food and food related products. Also no membership card to get in, or receipt to get out. No coupon book either, just posted sales, so everyone gets the deal! I like that!
