Yo this place is my go to shoot some stick in the north burbs. Its really fun, theres free coffee, they have smoothies and Korean pop music. The place is more of a billiards hall as the billiards tables outnumber the pool tables 2 – 1, but still fun and clean. And great lighting. The owner is always friendly and helpful. When you walk in, its like stepping into some pool hall in Korea. Great place, will return.

Who would have known that an ajashi could make an excellent patbingsoo? Put the pool stick down and make sure to get one at Green Q Café and Billiard. Patbingsoo is a mixture of fresh fruit, shaved ice, mochi, and red beans. You’ll see variations with different toppings but at Green Q, they added corn flakes, sweet red bean paste, different types of mocha, and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. For the price, this is the best thing on the menu since you are probably paying the same for a smoothie or froyo. This ajashi knows how to throw down because all of the fruit were nicely cut and well organized — almost picture perfect. It was an awesome blend of sweets and textures. Forget the Blizzard or banana split and get a patbingsoo at Green Q.

We walked in to satisfy our craving for some patbingsoo(aka the Korean shaved ice). For $ 6 or $ 8 depending on the size, I’m not sure if it was expensive or not, but it tasted pretty good. It could’ve used a little more fruit, but the fact that it was fresh and that they gave us extra bowls was a definite plus. My friends got some of the smoothies like blueberry and mango with the tapioca. They finished it pretty quickly so I’m guessing it was good? They also used fresh fruit for those smoothies, so I’m sure they were better than some places that use frozen fruit… The café itself was pretty cute and cozy with bright red(ikea?) furniture, a big tv, and a computer. The owner was also pretty sweet and excited to have customers. They have this loyalty type card that gives you 10% off with each visit, so if you live in the area be sure to get one. We didn’t play pool, but it looks like they have about 10 or so tables. It’s a nice little pocket in the strip mall. Check it out if you’re in the area and are looking for a new place to hang out.
