The best Italian beef, Italian sausage, chicken parmesan, cannoli and tiramisu around! Awesome deli, steaks, and bakery items. Incredibly nice people! You can get sandwiches to go or their homemade Italian dinners, like lasagna, clam sauce, ravioli, meatballs, soups, fish, etc. So lucky to have it so close! Moved to Oak/Mill mall. Their store is in the corner of mall at Oakton and Milwaukee Avenues.

Best quality & selection for butcher shop meats and deli selection! Although the Italian bakery section is limited it is very good. They serve great lunchtime sub sandwiches at a reasonable price.

After seeing this here on Unilocal,It’s been a bookmark for a while. The address here is wrong, it’s up the street in the mall at the SW corner of Oakton and Milwaukee. This is not a restaurant, but they do make lunches and you can swing in and get a variety of sandwiches made. I tried the Italian Sausage(mild) with peppers and some red sauce. I don’t get a chance to have this anymore as my wife is not much of a fan of Brats, Italian Sausages, etc., and wow, I wasn’t disappointed. Lots of great things in their freezers for meals ready to heat from Lasagnas, Ravioli the whole spread is there. They have a great looking meat case too, I’m definitely going to need to go back more for some steaks and the like. Very friendly folks and a nice old school Italian feel. I’m sold.

I work near Minelli Brothers and originally stopped by in order to try their Italian Beef. It wasn’t the Italian Beef that caught my attention, however, it was their sausage. The Spicy Italian Sausage sells for around 3.50 a pound and is loaded with spice, heat, and fennel. I have used it in Italian Beef sandwiches, I have fried it with eggs, I have put it on pizzas. My favorite use of this sausage, however is in Chili. Try it, love it. They are quite proud of their Italian Beef, but it is a bit pricey in my mind, and is a little dry. You DEFINITELY need to buy the juice to cook it in. It is good for cold-beef sandwiches, but isn’t the best that I have tried. Any of their sausages are good(the prepackaged in the center of the store included), but my favorite by far is the spicy Italian.

When looking for an Italian Specialty Store, Minelli Brothers can’t be beat! They specialize in imported Italian foods, and have an incredible Italian Deli counter. It’s not a big store, but you’ll find those hard-to-find Italian cookies, meats, Pannettoni, chocolates(Perugia), spices, and lots of Italian Conversation. They also carry the Fra Noi cookbook, a great collection of Italian recipes like Mamma used to make. Every saturday you’ll find Mama Minelli wandering the aisles saying«Buon Giorno» to you! And, for some unknown reason, this store is a great stop for the fire department and paramedic crews. I always see them buying Italian food there!
