If you have read my past reviews. Then you know that I love Italian Beefs. I stopped into Mitchell’s and ordered the Beef meal with fries and drink. I thought it was a bit pricey for the portions you get $ 8.38. The beef was pretty good although not the best I’ve had. They could of put more beef on the bread. I thought the bread was a bit too chewy. Also they could of given me more fries. The service was great. I had no problems with the service. They brought me my food which was cool. But i wouldn’t consider that waiter service. I think I will try something different on the menu next time.

An offshoot of the Original Mitchell’s in Chicago. At least, that’s my guess after surveying all the celeb pics on the wall.(I doubt Jesse White, Gary Sinise and local news people like Andy Shaw made the trek to Niles). Meh. It’s standard fare Greek diner food. I’ve hit up this place a couple of times for lunch. It’s not that the food is particularly bad, it’s just not exceptional. Today I was drawn in by the rib eye steak sandwich on the sign. Guy behind the counter asks how I want it — medium, well done. Add a star for that. Deduct that same star when meat turns out more well done than medium. The garlic bread was the best thing about that sandwich. Even though the place was mostly empty today when I arrived around 12:30, I still had to clean off my table. I haven’t tried their breakfast food, which is what the chain is known for. There are too many other proven options for breakfast nearby, so I probably won’t.

How to earn a «No Star» rating: 1. Take a successful, local, and well-liked«family» fast food joint 2. Decide to buy it 3. Don’t pay attention to «what works» and leave well enough alone 4. Use noticeably cheaper food products, yet still pay the old posted prices. Or raise prices, even 5. Add more(misspelled) items to the posted food lists at the order counter, so much so that you can hardly see the employee through the lists 5. Overcharge and mis-charge prices at the register, then 6. Argue with the customer about it 7. Finish it off with an attitiude that you don’t care if the customer will do repeat business with you. Now tell me: would YOU eat here? P. S. — I know there is a One Star rating here, but Unilocal doesn’t allow«zero» stars. That’s why I prefaced with«No Star:»
