Stopped in to try the buffet. It’s cheap but not real sure that it was worth it. All the food we tried was pretty dry and tasteless. I don’t think I would go back. One good thing was table side guacamole which I will say that was delicious. They give you a large bowl for a group to share. So if you just want to have a few drinks and chips with fresh guacamole then give it a try. As for the buffet I won’t be going back.

Tried this place cause the restaurant we wanted was closed. Being from California I’m all about Mexican food so was excited to try this place. Staff was nice and very helpful, however at one point our waitress was nowhere to be found. I ordered a side of guac and queso! Queso was relish but the guac was bland! Not very tasty. Unfortunately I love guac so that was disappointing. Also got the Land and Sea which was bacon wrapped steak and shrimp. Sad to say but also a little disappointing too. Steak was pretty dry. We did get the margaritas and those were good. I recommend those of you come here!

The. Margaritas. Let’s be real for a second. I love Mexican food. I don’t care if it’s Taco Bell or in Mexico, I’ve never met a taco, burrito, chips and salsa, chile relleno, rice and beans, or queso that I didn’t want to snuggle, at least for a few moments. But the truth is, it all tastes, basically, the same. The spices can excite or be bland, but we all can picture what a quesadilla looks like, because it looks the same at every Mexican Restaurant, Fajitas are pretty standard. The tostada, is a tostada. Mexican Restaurants have mastered the ability to take the same 8 ingredients and arrange them into about 400 different dishes. And I love them for it. Plaza Azteca is no different in this area. Everything I have eaten has been delicious and familiar. The tableside guac is tasty, the chips are crispy. I think one of the places where Mexican restaurants can vary greatly is in their rice and bean offerings. Often, they thrive at one and fail at the other. PA does an admirable job at providing two palatable sides that neither offend or overwhelm the dishes. But, they do something that makes the entire experience magnificent: They SHINE with their Margaritas. They are strong, sweet, fresh, and CHEAP. If you are looking for good Mexican food, it is a place to go, if you are looking for Margaritas, it is THE place to go.

We went in for their lunch Buffett. This had to be low grade cheap food laying around or that needed to be used. The server was invisible and didn’t want to be there nor was she any help to us. We have tried this spot twice now with the same results sadly it still max and ermas décor years later something could be done w this space it a waste.

Stopped here for dinner– had a quick bite at the bar~ the chips and salsa were fresh and very good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were delicious. The waitress/bartender were extremely friendly and made sure our drinks were filled continually We will definitely keep them in mind the next time we are in the area!

This is a fairly large restaurant across the road from the mall and had good ratings when I searched on Unilocal(from the mall parking lot). It was pretty empty, being in between lunch and dinner times, and we were seated in a booth right away. Our service was consistently good. We were served water and chips & salsa right after we sat down. My chosen entrée was fish tacos; there were 3 small ones and came with a separate hot plate of beans and rice. The tacos could have used some kind of sauce, but everything tasted really good. I would come back, and would like to get one of the vegetarian entrees since they all sounded good on the menu. Our bill was $ 21 for two entrees and a beer; not bad.

Was excited to visit this place after seeing all of the reviews. I was highly disappointed. Let me first say that the young lady waiting on us had zero personality. It was sad. I was super friendly, but she didn’t smile at all. She had the same stone look on her face the entire time we were there. My wife enjoyed her fajitas… said they had a different flavor than normal fajitas. I got the chicken enchiladas. They weren’t inedible or anything, they just completely lacked flavor. I tasted nothing. The guacamole was pretty much tasteless also. Everyone raves about their guac, but I was not impressed. The rice was a little crunchy as well. The refried beans were ok. The inside has never been updated since this building was a Max & Erma’s. Felt like I was traveling back in time. I won’t be back to this place, and thankfully, I don’t live in that area.

This Place Has Good Mexican Food, it’s Not All Tex-Mex. The Carne Asada Was Delicious along with fresh chips and Salsa. Me and a group of guys had a great time eating there last night, they have great service and good beer specials too. I’m from Texas so this kinda reminds me of eating at home.

Lunch was awesome! The waitress was prompt and attentive. I had the Texas Fajitas. The portion was more than enough. The place was very clean and spacious. I have found another gem!

My favorite Mexican spot in this town. The food and service were impeccable. The food is to die for and their drinks are enormous and really good. What really made it spectacular was the staff. The bartender and waitress were such nice people. And we went to eat here maybe 30 min before closing time. They were very accommodating and didn’t rush us or anything. This is the #1 best Mexican spot in Warren. And they have crazy happy hour times from 3−7÷8 where drinks are half off! Doesn’t get better than that!

I like that they have more seafood options than the average Mexican restaurant in his area… I especially enjoy the lobster enchiladas. Their guacamole is the best around(they make it tableside and you can request it mild to hot). Overall, it’s a pretty good restaurant and I enjoy it thoroughly.

Good service, great margaritas, and fresh guacamole made right at your table. This is my favorite Mexican place in the Youngstown area. Try a Pacifico, Dos Equis, or Modelo during Happy Hour! I’m also a big fan of their shrimp fajitas. This building served as a couple other restaurants that didn’t last very long before Plaza Azteca stuck.

Definitely try the fresh guacamole made at your table — delicious! Went for dinner with husband and kids. They had high chairs but I asked for a booster seat for my daughter and never got one. They do have a kids menu with good choices. Service was friendly, accurate, and efficient, though the language barrier made communication tough at times. I love the pictures in the menu and decided to try a dish from one. It was tilapia something(started with a v). Tilapia and shrimp with green olives, slivers of tomato and a flavorful but not spicy tomato sauce served over rice. It was cooked perfectly. I could tell the fish was previously frozen but it still had a good flavors. My husband got the fajita for two(and ate almost all of it himself). It had steak chicken and shrimp. The steak was very tender and tasted like a better cut of steak — not frozen micro cooled steak. He said the flavors were good and it came with generous servings of rice and beans on the side. By far the best though was the fresh guacamole fixed at your table. It was entertaining to watch the man prepare it and it smelled and tasted so fresh and delicious. It was a bit pricy — $ 5.99 — but worth every penny! We will definitely go back!

Not exactly authentic Mexican, but everything I’ve had has been very good. Choriqueso and/or table side guac are a must.
