Target Stores

I happened to stop by this Target store looking for some Christmas lights which they had quite a selection. I like Target because they offer some good prices and on top of that you can use the Cartwheel app on your phone to add on to the savings and even use a manufacturer’s coupon on top of the cartwheel app offer! Check out was ok.

My girlfriend and I stopped by this Target on the way from Minneapolis to Atlanta, and, even though most targets only slightly differ, this location could definitely use a few upgrades. Some info:
–The sides of the building literally have paint falling off.
–Parking shouldn’t be difficult there, since it seems like most people in the neighborhood don’t even visit.
–Due to the low volume of people that they get, it doesn’t seem like they’re worried about stocking their shelves to the max. (Items might not be in stock at all.)
–Clean bathrooms.
–Unusually high number of teens there.
–They open 8am everyday until 11pm on the weekdays, and Sundays. Close at midnight on Saturdays.
–It’s really quiet there. Did I mention not a lot of people visit this Target location?
–Does have a small grocery section. Not a Super Target (I think), though.

Attention Target Corporation: this place needs a MAJOR OVERHAUL.
Attention Target customers: go to another Target.
This place is smaller than most Target stores, with half the selection. It’s old and run down — no Starbucks, just the little food avenue with popcorn and hotdogs. There’s ALWAYS a backup at the checkout — understaffed.
Parking is awful. It’s a large lot, it’s always packed, and people here have a tendency to not comprehend how to direct their vehicle between two straight lines. (Shoutout to the lady whose entire review for this place was nothing but her bitching about how she got swiped in the parking lot and Target wouldn’t help her find the culprit.)
The staff here also seems pretty disorganized — I went to pick up an order I made online after receiving the «your item is ready for pickup!» email, and I head to the guest services desk. On December 28^th. So maybe that’s my mistake. But the line was long, other customers were acting like jagoffs (here’s to you, you dumb old b*tch who thinks you’re too good to wait in line. This is Niles, Park Ridge is one town over.) and when I finally get up to the counter, my order is NOT ready for pickup. They have to go to the back, figure out what it is, and get it. Not the seamless transaction I was hoping for.
One more thing to note about the staff. I get it, you’re all horny teenagers and a job like this is really just an excuse for you to try your hardest to get laid. But some professionalism would be nice in front of customers. I’m standing in the guest services area with four other customers, and one staff member is playing flirty keepaway with a radio that the other staff member needs to use to call her manager to finalize another customer’s transaction. Cute in an indie film, but not so much to the customer who wants to make her return and leave without witnessing the mating dance of morons.
Skip it and head to the one in Niles or the one on Willow in Glenview.

This is by far the slowest Target I’ve ever been to. Every time I go, there are only a couple of checkout lanes open and they are all backed up. (Today for example, the had 2 lanes open to take care of 8 – 10 people. It took me 15 minutes just to check out on a Monday afternoon.)
Not to mention this store is rather small for a Target. They have half the selection of the Target on Willow in Glenview. And the shelves are generally disorganized and messy.
Keep an eye on the prices when they ring you up. Often the shelf price is lower than what they actually charge at the register. If you catch it, they will adjust the price for you. You just have to have sharp eyes!
From now on I’ll stick with the Target on Willow. It’s bigger, stocked much better, cleaner and the lines are way quicker. The best part is there is usually a supervisor at the checkouts facilitating opening more lanes as needed.

Be Careful where you park! Especially since the parking lot cameras cannot help you when your car gets damaged. I’ve been going to the Target for a long time, but today will be my last. When I was going back to my car, I noticed that somebody swiped the back right of my car leaving a large paint streak. I figured that target has security cameras and would be able to find the perpetrator. I called them and asked them to review their tapes. Target’s security called me back and said they see my car, but they can’t really see anything that is happening around it. ??? What is the point of having a parking lot camera? If you want to go get your car bashed, this is the place to do it. Thanks Target for looking out for your customers. Buying groceries at your unmonitored store now cost me over a $ 1000 repair on my BMW. I don’t think uncle Sam would have let this happen.

Always get pretty good deals here and they such a wide variety of merchandise, especially now that their in the food industry, it’s hard not to shop here, especially for a variety of products.

Big target, lots of parking. Café up front, all the usual departments. Pretty long checkout lines and only a few clerks on a weekday afternoon.

Typical target — large, has everything you need for a good price, sells fruits/​vegetables/​frozen food, and easy/​fun shopping for all your household needs.
No complaints on this trip.

I love targets. but this one. ehhh. everything is ohkay nothing is really special. its dirty a lot of the time. theres a blonde lady named Helen who was super helpful and Ashley was super helpful but everyone else seems like im bothering them. idk i dont really like this target.

The staff is always great and helpful when you need them. The store is also very clean and neat.
The selection for most things at this Target, however, is not that great relative to the other Targets nearby. I feel like this is where the afterthoughts from the other Targets are sold. The clothing and shoe collections are so limited. I guess the other stores might have better sales figures in their clothing and shoe departments than this one.
That said, this Target still serves it’s purpose for me. It’s where I go to get my essential toiletries and hair products from.

This Target is a keeper. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Large clothing department with a lot of sales items. I went here on a Saturday at around 930am… it was not busy, lots of room to browse. If I lived in this area I would definitely go back.

This is a great Target. I’ve been going here for years. There is always parking, and the staff is friendly. And of course, I’m a huge fan of Target in general. I used a tax exempt letter for a purchase for a charitable organization, and I was worried the person ringing me up would make a face or get annoyed, but she was nice and the process was quick and pain-​free.
