The worst Toys R Us I’ve ever been to! They’re always understaffed… there’s only one cashier no matter how long the line is. You always wait there… wait to check out, wait for customer service, wait for assistance. Last time I waited about 10 minutes in line while the cashier was stuck with a coupon lady. No additional cashiers were called and I left my items on the counter and left. Never going back there again!

Quite possibly one of the worst TRUs in the country. We love most of them in the Chicago area, but this one is something different.
Managers are not knowledgable about anything regarding TOYS. Good luck getting them to help you.
We walked out of there ready to spend a few hundred dollars on birthday presents and walked out with nothing because the managers were so rude and obnoxious. Maybe they were having a bad day, but if it’s like that everyday, I don’t see how this location will keep their doors open a few years down the line.
TRU– hire better managers at this store. Please.

I hate this location… GO TO THE BABIES R US BY NARRAGANSETT AND FULLERTON!!! I live closer to that great location but was at a store near this one and had to return a gift (Britax car seat base) because I had a newer model car seat. My friend had purchased the insurance on this and I simply needed to get the newer model and asked «customer service» if I could transfer the insurance onto the new one (simple enough request, right?) The lady at the «customer service» desk looked at me like I asked for her first born! And was upset I didnt have a receipt (I had a print out of my gift registry w me!) Needless to say, I got the correct car seat base and lost the insurance on it. Oh, and the store seems so cramped and unorganized. I dont know how people even manage to get baby strollers/​carts through the store!

Horrible horrible horrible service !!! The chubby girl with long brown hair should get more training ! Her customer service is terrible. She saw us waiting in line for several minutes and when our turn came to check out, the girl told us to go to another register. Who does that? ?? Why she didn’t tell us she was closed when she saw us come up is beyond me. All I know is I am never coming back to this store because of her lack of professionalism and customer service skills.

This is the closest toys r us to me, yet still somewhat far from my apartment. I just wanted to know if they have Winnie the Pooh plush toys so I don’t have to waste gas/​time driving there if they don’t. I tried calling twice but these people seriously refuse to answer they’re phones! Who let’s a phone ring in a business for 5+ minutes? Poor service I won’t even waste my time going there.

Poor service. Lines are too long and place is not organized. Staff is not the most friendliest? I should get my Xmas shopping on soon, still debating if I should go here or not. Hm, maybe I will. Hopefully they have better service now.

This Toys R us location is also a Babies R Us, with a more limited selection than a standard Babies R Us. This is a good place to check out sales on organic baby food, if that’s your thing. Prices are higher than grocery store prices on most baby food, however, so when there is NOT a sale, you will not save money. The selection of brands like Plum and Earth’s Best does beat the grocery stores any day.
This is also a good place to buy Babyganics products in bulk. Other stores either do not carry this brand or don’t let you buy things like wipes by the case.
As other Unilocaler photos suggest, the bathrooms here can get scary. I prefer to change my baby in the car rather than use their bathrooms here. The store is kind of messy in general.
The employees are also a bit clueless. I was looking for a toy on a recent visit and asked where to find it. I was told they do not carry it, but then I turned the corner and saw a huge end cap display full of that toy. Really? REALLY?

This is not the best place. I agree that bathrooms are horrible. Also why they have designated parking spaces for EXPECTING MOTHERS if nobody enforce it. I went on a regular day and observed people use those spots like any other. I know that may not be the store’s fault… PEOPLE RESPECT OTHERS!!! No common sens at all.
I had to wait a long time to create my baby registry, and after i received the scan gun learned about all the fantastic «discontinued» items. Another words plenty of things can not be added to the registry. Also, items «in-​store only» have no pictures when you view your registry online… I don’t know what I’m deleting.
Every so often they have good rewards offers, and a nice sale.

Absolutely Disgusted with this store! I have been trying to call them for the last 3 days and all it does is ring. No one ever answered! I sat on the phone while it rang and rang for 20 minutes each time! Get someone to answer your phones! You just lost a customer!

The ad promoted a sale on Easter candy. I arrived at 1020 am the day of the advertised sale. I located the signs indicating the product at the sale price. However the shelves were empty… False advertising

I’m sure it’s no surprise that I’m not in a Toys R Us very often. However, this was an excellent one-​stop-​shop for all of my recent Christmas shopping (for my boyfriend’s nieces and nephews). We luckily went early the Friday before the holiday and it wasn’t too painful. We got a whole bunch of stuff at fair prices and were out of there in maybe an hour. The employees did a great job helping all of the customers. They had everything we were looking for and since it was in the burbs, it wasn’t as chaotic as a city location! Very happy with the experience here!

What can I say, it’s Toys R Us. If you go at the right time (during the weekday mornings when kids are at school), it’s not too bad. If you go when kids are out of school, you’re taking your life (OK, maybe just your sanity) into your own hands. I don’t recommend going during those crazy times. I did it once… once!
As for the staff, they are around to assist you with finding what you need, and are friendly.

They have good discounts, but the shelves are always empty. What’s the point of even keeping the store open if you don’t want to stock items with things people actually want. The in-​store customer service is horrible. I seriously waited 15 minutes for someone to find out if they had a game in the store. This does not even count the time that they kept me on hold before answering the phone. Absolutely crazy.

This is the best store for toys, games, and everything. They have video games, board games, bikes, and formula and strollers for babies. This store is so much fun that even adults will have a hard time leaving. As far as pricing goes, some of the prices are high and others aren’t, but it just depends on what you’re getting.
