Best Italian food we have ever had! My wife and I ate here for our anniversary, first time being open of our four years going to grand view lodge.
We ordered the family style, everything was amazing and big portions for a very good price.
Service was great, cool place and a good ambiance.
We will be going every year that were back at gvl.
Can’t say enough about the Italian Garden, perfect.

DON’T miss this place… and you might if you don’t follow these directions! Once on Nokomis take first right (Forest Avenue). After the turn to the left, you’ll see the yellow house on the right and parking on the left. GPS takes you to the main Grandview Lodge but you have to take the right on Forest to wind around the back side to find the yellow house. Awesome, quaint ambience and really some of the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten anywhere let alone out on the middle of lake country! This is totally a place you don’t want to miss and you can thank me later!

This is a charming litte restaurant in a little yellow house on the Grand View Lodge property. We enjoyed a 4-​course dinner for $ 27 per person. It was more than enough food for two people. We had great service. It’s a nice place to have a romantic or a casual dinner.

We stopped by Italian Gardens for dinner after playing golf at Grandview Lodge. I loved the atmospher of this cozy little Italian restaurant. It’s located in an old yellow house with tons of windows so every room feels like a sun porch.
This place serves Italian food family style. They serve you salad and bread along with four entrees and dessert, all to share with table. They have four regular entrees and one evening special that you can substitute for one of the other entrees. Don’t worry if you don’t get enough food, because they will bring you more if you run out.
I thought all of the food was great, but our table really enjoyed the lasagna and the chicken parmesan. The lasagna had a delicious and rich meaty red sauce and tons of cheese. The chicken parmesan was crispy and wrapped in salty prosciutto.
The dessert was a great ending to the meal with a rich chocolate cake and creamy vanilla bean gelato.
If you want to stop by, they are only open for dinner and make sure to make a reservation!
Dinner is a set price of $ 26/​person.

One of my top 10 favorite restaurants ever. Meal served family style. Salad, appetizer (brusetta pizza), four entry selections (bolognese lasagne was my favorite), and dessert. Quick service. Restaurant is in an ranch house with many different rooms. Very colorful interior. Don’t miss this place if you are in the Brainard Lakes area.
