Canton Buffet

I can put up with a lot of mistakes, as long as I am taken care of as a customer.
Well, my husband brought me home some food from there and I requested that the sauce be put on the side. The chicken is fried (i.e. Cashew Chicken type, so I didn’t want it to become soggy.) When I picked up the sauce container, it was scalding to the point that when I picked it up, the bottom of the container broke through and spilled all over my hand and arm. I called up the restaurant sobbing, and explained what had happened. Now, this may seem a bit melodramatic, but I was in a plethora of pain. Not only was I treated with contempt, (by Ken, the manager), but the only suggestion was that I go to the ER. This happened months ago, and I walked in the other day to give them ONE MORE CHANCE to make it right. I wasn’t asking for much… I never ate the meal… first of all, I was traumatized by the burn… that pain was intense for quite some time! Plus, no sauce. ALL I wanted was a replacement meal… most restaurants with a modicum of customer service would have BENT OVER BACKWARDS to express remorse over what had happened and tried to make it right! Well, Ken was still a jerk, and made the lousy excuse that he could get in trouble if he replaced my meal, since they were not a large chain! Both times he questioned my integrity… like, «how do I know you’re not just making this up?» I guess I could have tried to win an Emmy when I called up sobbing that first time, just so I could get a $ 7 meal…
Needless to say, I won’t hesitate to spread the word (which sucks for them, because I also bend over backwards to advertise when a restaurant offers really good customer service!!)

Only all-​you-​can eat buffet left in Nixa, I think. Food is fair. Service is good. Atmosphere is very stark.

Canton Buffet is my all time favorite Chinese food in the universe. I’ve been going here for over 10 years and no other place compares. If you are going to eat the buffet, make sure it is during peek hours to ensure the selection is fresh. The drive thru is always fresh and delightful. Hands down, best general chicken in the world.

For local, fast, affordable Chinese you can’t beat Canton. I do, however, highly recommend going through the drive through for super fresh food. The buffet is fine, but for $ 18 for two adult buffets I would rather order what I want. The beef broccoli is amazing, as well as the cashew chicken.

Disgusting. Beat word to describe the food, the dirty restaurant, the way the place is managed.

Great place, reasonably priced, and great staff. Highly recommend.
