Eagle’s Donuts

Nice clean donut shop. They have your typical types of donuts and Community brand coffee. They have three tables and one wall mount bar area for eating in the store. They are open 7 days a week. Nice place to set up your laptop to get some work done.

First impression after walking in the door was not great. Very basic décor, your «seen in 10,000 other restaurants» tables & chairs.
I had planned on getting coffee and donuts, however the two pots of regular coffee were both almost empty and I didn’t feel like waiting for it… so this was a donuts only trip.
Taking a look at the menu and in the case, they had all your standard donuts: glazed, chocolate, blueberry, long johns, etc… Standard menu. The look of the donuts were just okay, none of them looked amazing or grabbed my attention. I wanted a variety to sample so I went with three donuts: A standard glazed donut, a blueberry cake donut and a bavarian crème donut.
Glazed: This was a very good donut, not too sweet. The amount of glaze was just right, covering the donut but not dripping. Overall as far as glazed donuts go I give this a solid B.
Blueberry: Odd looking was my first thought… it looks like an old fashioned donut. Nothing wrong with this, just unusual for a blueberry donut. The donut was moist, not too crumbly.
The blueberry flavor was a little too strong and artificial for me. I give it a C+
Bavarian crème: This was unique to me, in that it had no chocolate icing on top. It was simply a glazed donut filled with bavarian crème. Very good, although I think I would have preferred a chocolate icing on top. This donut was my favorite, I give it an A.
Overall after sampling all three donuts I was surpised, better than my first impression led me to believe they would be.

Finally a great donut shop here in Nixa. Brand new business. Great tasting donuts!
