Prather Family Eyecare

After learning that my regular eye doc was changing his classification to ‘specialist’, I was on the lookout for a new optometrist that wouldn’t break the bank. I found Dr. Prather by doing a general Northside search online. I will say, because I work in advertising, I take stock in updated websites and the feeling I get when I’m reading about the staff. These guys are local in Noblesville and privately owned which I like because I know exactly who will pick up the phone when I call.
I visit the eye Dr. once each year and for the past two years, I kept telling my old doc how I felt my prescription had changed and I wasn’t seeing as clearly. I kept getting the same old response of «your prescription hasn’t changed» and I kept ordering the same contacts and getting no help in that area. Well, friends… Dr. Prather actually got down to the issue and realized that my astigmatism had changed — or rather my cornea had changed. I had never heard this before and we tested a few things out and I see so much clearer now. It’ll take some adjusting to get used to these new lenses, but I was finally given an answer to the changes that I knew I was going through. I just wanted to breathe a sigh of relief and shout «Finally someone is listening to me!» If you are looking for an optometrist that will only spend 3 minutes with you and send you on your way, then Dr. Prather is not for you. If you need help and want a Dr. that will take the time to answer every question you might have and offer up some education along with it so that you know what’s going on, then choose Prather!
