What is up with the average reviews here??? Now I have only done delivery but they are always on time and we have tried some many different items and everything is just amazing!!! Also, once we ordered super late on Valentine’s Day(below close) and the poor delivery driver came an hour after close(on time) and he didn’t get drink. He actually told us he would go back and get a 90 cent coke. We told him no to put a credit on account, which he did, and I understand this is the delivery drivers job… But he wasn’t mad at about it at all and it was an hour after close on Valentine’s Day. I was really impressed. Drivers are always punctual and nice.

Unfortunately, my experience was subpar on every level. The were two other tables with customers on a Sunday night and the service was painfully slow. The tea I ordered tasted and looked like slightly dirty water. The breadsticks were hard and dry. I ordered thin crust pizza because once I saw the«deep dish» I knew it would be disappointing. The crust on the pizza was very crisp, not in a good way. From what I saw of the deep dish, it was mostly just crust with a very small amount of toppings. The sauce didn’t even come to top of the outer crust. Definitely not the Chicago style deep dish I’m accustomed to.

Delicious pizza, great service, and a nice atmosphere. We’ve been back twice, and we’ll go again!

One of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. We came in to dine Saturday after my mother suggested it because it was new, and I always complain when we come home to visit there isn’t any good pizza(we actually live in Chicago!). So we go in, the only people except a person up at the bar. Sit down, waitress doesn’t know any of the drinks at the bar. No big deal, I’ll just go up and look I guess. Get a Chianti and a beer. Try to order breadsticks, out, decide to go with garlic bread. It was 6:30 on a Saturday and out of breadsticks, sadly that was only the beginning. Our 10 month old needs a diaper change. Go to the women’s, nothing. Husband checks the men’s, nothing. Come back out to find a restaurant full of people now. Decide to make it work by getting the stroller and taking it into the tiny bathroom. 1 star off for me at this point. Pizza, Italian food in general, is a family meal, put a fold down changing station or a dresser in there. Make it work. Customers should never have to resort to the floor. If I didn’t have my stroller for my husband to get I would have walked out. After the interesting changing situation, I come out to find no bread. Ok. Well, wait another 15 min before she’s back around to get our order, decide to order a pizza and salad. We end up choosing for it to be to go bc we have already been there 25 min with no garlic bread and a 10 month old. She says garlic bread is coming. Then we waited. WAITEDFORANHOUR! No Garlic bread, no salad, no explanation for what was going on in back, where everyone working there seemed to be, no asking if we wanted anything else to drink, nothing. Finally, she comes out and tells everyone that the printer in the kitchen to send orders isn’t working so no one in the kitchen knew people had ordered. Ok, that doesn’t explain how you weren’t competent enough to realize when garlic bread takes more than 25 min there’s something wrong and go back and ask! To wait over an hour is insane! Also, we couldn’t find her to ask about it because she was in back(where I assume the kitchen is) so that really isn’t making any sense at all. The table next to us with 3 children 8 – 4, asks for the manager. He was extremely rude and unapologetic. Blamed the servers, the printer, that he was back making pizzas(for apparently an hour a half straight at this point despite the waitress saying no orders were processing back there), everything he could blame he was and all with attitude. He never once apologized. Just said they were making the pizzas as fast as possible, and he has servers to deal with what is going on out here(the front of house). At this point the entire restaurant(which is small to be fair) heard his rude interaction with the family next to us. They get up to pay for their drinks, we talk with them, their first time too, and won’t be returning. They charged us $ 15 for a draught beer and a glass of cheap quality Chianti. At a little pizzeria. In Indiana. That just had us wait an hour and a half for nothing. The other table next to us just upped and walked out. Don’t blame them. A couple who had just sat at the bar left. The waitress rushes us out our salad. Says it’s free! I wanted to respond, «no sh**!», I took the high road and said thank you. Open it in the car, glad it was free. That’s the only food I can rate. One star is appropriate. Not exactly what I imagined for the price. Donatos pizza does a better job and it’s a chain. Took a pic. Judge for yourself if that salad is worthy of the price. Great location, sad it had terrible service.

We popped in on Memorial Day after a morning of Strawberry picking, and we were HUNGRY! The lunch buffet satisfied the whole gang! At least two deep dish or thin crust pizzas were on the buffet line the whole time, along with some salad greens and veggies, and a fresh fruit salad. The price was right at $ 10/person. We ate our money’s worth! The décor is simple, exposed brick, big windows, some Chicago memorabilia and photos. The place was clean, the service was on point, and the food(as always!) was amazing. Also, its pretty kid friendly! Booster seats abound, and the buffet option is great for kiddos who need food RIGHT. NOW. :)

The pizza is the best around. Recent changes in management have improved the service times as well. This is my go-to pizza place. Love it. (Get the thin crust sausage pizza or a pizza with italian beef and banana peppers. You won’t be disappointed)

We came for the first time on Saturday night for dinner. The restaurant is small but there were open tables. The interior is bland. There are a few tv’s. The space is long and narrow as is the building it is in. Dining in front, a small bar, kitchen. Not sure where the bathrooms are. We ordered mozzarella sticks. they were over cooked and nothing special to note. I had a house salad which was $ 4.99 and way over priced for the contents. Iceberg lettuce, banana peppers, too much cheese. I was disappointed. We ordered the«deep dish pizza». This is sauce on top of cheese. It had too much oregano on top of the sauce. The outer crust was what one would expect from Chicago style, the main crust was thinner than the Chicago style I’ve had in Chicago. But, it was okay. We all thought the crust lacked any taste and was not enjoyable. I’m glad we tried it, but I would not go again. The server was pleasant and nice.

The Italian Beef sandwich is top-notch. Unfortunately they often«forget» my delivery order(which I call to check on after an hour or so), often have extreme difficulty taking orders over the phone, and often get orders wrong. I’ve only dined in once and the service was slow as molasses, so I switched to delivery. Delivery is always extremely late and occasionally incorrect. This place is your usual case of «if you didn’t have such a good menu item I’d never ever return». If they could up their customer service game I would recommend the place. As it is, just save your Italian Beef cravings for your next trip to Chicago.

Ordered 2 meatball sandwiches. Got home and discovered two orders of two meatballs. Absolutely the worst tasting meatballs ever. That was an expensive addition to my garbage.

We started with Mozzarella and bread sticks, both were good and came quickly. Then came a Caesar Salad and the«Big Phil» pizza. It is a deep dish pizza with Italian beef, sausage, pepperoni, bacon covered in cheese and sauce. The pizza was delicious, my only complaint is that it was not hot, luke warm at best. Contrary to other reviews, the customer service was pretty good. The young lady that helped us was very pleasant. She was apologetic about the temperature of the pizza and tried to heat it for us.

This place is tiny and the service is terrible. There are just 7 tables and you freeze if someone opens the door. We arrived about 5 on Friday night. 3 tables were full and we were the fourth. We waited 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Two waitresses checked on tables on either side of us with no service. Nobody said, «Just a minute», or «be with you in a moment». It’s not like they were busy. So after the 10 minutes of being ignored, that was it. We enjoyed the food at the Fishers location and thought this would be the same. With that bad of a start, it wasn’t worth risking a bad experience to find out. We won’t be back.

Two part review: Part one: The Food. Ordered delivery through the Unilocal app(part two). Ordered a 14″ traditional cheese pizza, 8 breadsticks and Italian beef(dry). Food was delivered 15mins before the estimated time. Food was hot and delicious. There was an issue with the order(they forgot to bring the Italian beef) but, they immediately apologized and delivered it in less than 15 mins. The pizza: Delicious. I am not an expert in ‘Chicago style’ pizza, but I am not a novice either. The sauce was great, the cheese had a lot of flavor and the crust had a perfect ratio of chew, cheese and crunch(the three C’s of crust). This might be my new favorite pizza. The breadsticks: Good. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Came with both cheese dip and marinara sauce. The Italian Beef: Great. Added the cheese and peppers. Would have been nice to have an au jus option for delivery(only options on the app were dry, wet or dipped). Nice spice to the peppers. The person who delivered was very friendly and fixed the mistake. Will definitely order again. Part two: The Order So, there was an ‘order take out or delivery’ button below the name of the restaurant on the Unilocal app. Clicked on that, selected the foods that I wanted, added in tip and the order was sent. Received an email confirmation a few minutes later with an ETA. As mentioned above, they beat the ETA by about 15 mins. Super easy, gratuity included, didn’t have to sign anything. I hope this feature expands to other restaurants.

This was the crust of our deep dish pizza. Way too much crust and not enough of the good stuff. Also, the pizza looked like a regular slice of pie, not a deep dish. Cheese and sauce was very tasty, but wouldn’t pay the price again for what we received. I also wanted to try their fries. They cooked them way to early. I could see them in their box, done in the kitchen, but our pizza took an additional 15 minutes. When we got our food, the fries were cold and soggy. We ordered online, and it says that a one topping 14′ deep dish pizza is 18.95, however at checkout it charged us additional for the one topping we chose. The overall experience just wasn’t anything to be excited about.

Food tastes very good but it’s absolutely not Chicago style deep dish. Servers were nice but the service was a disaster. Lots of confusion, most everything was incorrect & I was still hungry when we left. So, I would rate the quality of ingredients a four but the rest a one. I really want this place to be good. I may try again some day in the hopes they get it together.

The food was good, service incredibly disappointing. The servers were nice but not knowledgeable and seemed to have no inclination to become knowledgeable. I was also uncomfortable with their proximity to our table. The restaurant is set up poorly, with no defined entry area or waiting area for carry out. People, and staff, just stand awkwardly by tables. It makes for difficult conversation, exacerbated by poor acoustics. I want to love this place because I wholly support local business. I’m afraid this place will not be around next year if they don’t address some glaring problems. I will end on a high note… the pizza was very tasty.

Ordered carry out and was told 30 minutes. Arrived at that time to find out pizza wasn’t ready and had not even been sent to kitchen because printer wasn’t working. Now I have another 15 – 30 minute wait. Only one table of customers in whole restaurant so not busy. Not a good way to start. The hostess did apologize but no manager came around to do so. No discount was offered, but I didn’t expect it, but a bounce back would have been nice to try to get me to come back. Instead it was a one time try. Pizza was ok. Inadequate toppings for a $ 25 pizza. Well worth the extra drive to go to Ale Emporium instead for a great deep dish pizza

Great service — the restaurant was crowded, and our server was busy, but did a great job! We had the Italian beef salad and sandwich — both were very good.

Go in and try it. Best Italian beef I’ve had in Indy area for sure. Been there 4 times. Two good experiences and two bad. We love the food when you finally get it They really need to figure out help and make this place real to be successful. Last time I was there it took way too long for the order. I really do t want to hear excuses — just get food out in a timely matter. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes for two sandwiches and a salad. Owner — think you need to be there a little more to get this up and going. It is on its way to failure I am giving this a 3 star and really not sure why. Great food that takes way too long. Italian Beef is the only reasoning behind the 3 star

Here’s what you need to do to enjoy this pizza. Don’t expect it to be Chicago-style deep dish. It’s really a very good pizza. Better than most in Hamilton County. If you look at it as «just» pizza and not«Chicago Style» you will enjoy it. We ordered way ahead for pick up. It was ready when we got there and was obviously made with fresh ingredients. As a note… Chicago style should be twice as thick and reach the top of the crust.

I’m debating a fourth star for these guys. Ok, they’re new. I will make an exception for that. But the pie was good, And our server was very very nice. The place itself seems a little new, shiny and unsettled. You can still smell the finish they used on the hardwoods. The pizza was on the cool side, though it was cooked properly and very tasty. It was almost as though it had sat in the back for several minutes before our server was called to get it. There were an awful lot of staff members there, maybe a little overstaffed for the night. Or maybe they just all hung out at the kitchen door a lot. That was a little odd. The place was very clean, a little bit loud, but pleasant. I like the décor with the modern style and the antique floors. It sure does look nicer than the last business that had this building. Five stars for cleanliness, ambience and the waitstaff. Minus two stars for a chilly pie and the cooks hanging out in the doorway. I think they have a lot of potential to become a really nice downtown fixture. I hope they do.
