Sunshine Center

Passed it as there is no sign.
Once I walked in, several machines had hand written signs saying «not working». I had several comforters that needed washed, so I knew I needed a larger machine. The double loader did not have enough room for my comforter, and when I flipped open the detergent lid, it had standing water and grime from previous detergents. I understand a little bit of limescale and build up, but this made me rethink the situation. The giant washer did fit my comforter, but I just couldn’t follow through.
There is a coin machine, a few snack machines, chairs. It is run down, a few wet spots on the carpet, but overall it seems to be functioning.

After running after a home run softball that landed in a heavily wooded area, my darling boyfriend came home with a rather terrible case of poison ivy. I wanted to wash every thinkable washable item just to be safe but I wasn’t able to successfully jam our comforter into our small stackable washer/​dryer unit. Enter Sunshine Center. This is your typical laundromat. I think, anyways. Lots of washers. Lots of dryers. Drop off service. Vending machines for candy. Vending machines for suds and softener. Hard plastic chairs to sit in while you wait. Magazines from four months ago to browse. Seems like a legit experience, right? The washer and dryer I used were both the big beasts that worked quickly and efficiently and got the job done. I can’t really complain. Next time I need to use a laundromat, I would certainly come back here.
