Great lunch spot, don’t be scared by the look of the plaza. The salsa bar is on point! the customer service is great but you can’t beat the food!

I LOVETHISPLACEISANUNDERSTATEMENT. I’ve ordered many chicken tortas and pork tortas from this place for the past 6 months and I am always left satisfied! They’re pretty quick with or without placing an order ahead of time. The only complaint I have is the small waiting area. Sometimes it gets really really crowded during lunch hour. Other than that, their HORCHATA is the best I’ve ever had! It’s the perfect consistency and the cinnamon is not overwhelming at all. I will recommend this place to anyone who wants a quick, fast, authentic lunch in the Norcross area! Also they have Arroz Con Leche in the glass display(as seen in the picture). It’s delicious! Don’t judge a book by it’s cover because this store may look small, but it has A LOT of yummy food!

We were looking for a more authentic Mexican place for some good tacos and not the chain«Moe» kind of place and Las Tortas Locas was exactly what we had in mind. Real good tacos on a corn tortilla served fresh made. We had the chicken, the beef barbacoa and the pork tacos. All were delicious. The tortas looked huge and so good I wished I had room to try one of those too. Prices were super affordable and service was fast and friendly. I would definitely go back next time I am in the area. It was a little tricky to find even with GPS since it is set back behind a Shell gas station, but it is worth going a little out of the way.

It was good. Kind of dry… Maybe I ordered it wrong? The condiment sauces are delish! That helped with the dryness. I should have taken Spanish in school! I will be back, the to go menu has really cute broken English so I will try something different next time.

Amazing! Great prices and a ton of different options that aren’t even on the menu. Best al pastor I’ve ever had. Quesadillas are perfect and all the tortas are delicious. Open late, fast service. Papas bravas are a great appetizer. Wonderful cheese dip too!

Lately Los Tortas has been letting me down the last 3 times I came to this location they have gotten my order wrong or they simply don’t give me all the food I ordered which to me is silly as the receipt and the orders are in Spanish so how can you mess up the order?! The number 2 means the same thing in English as it does in Español. I’ve gotten pathetic excuses as to why they missed certain items and I don’t believe the staff they have now cares about getting the orders right. They still have good food but they need to work on their order accuracy… I won’t be coming back.

By looking at the place from outside, you wont believe you will find such a great variety of food. This is a place for you to grab and go, there is very limited space to sit down. I ordered a Burrito Combo, It came with Rice and Beans, Its was really good. I saw some other people ordering tacos and Tortas(Subs) and they looked good as well. For a quick Bite ! This is a good place!

Really good tortas. And you can tell you’re in a legit place when they have like 8 different types of salsa. It can get really busy around lunchtime, which can be kind of a drag when you just want a quick lunch takeaway. Do: Al pastor, horchata Skip: Beef milanesa Might want to brush up on your spanish numbers so you don’t look like a stupid gringo when the call your order number in spanish.

We ordered steak burritos and cheese fries. I get this is an authentic place but the meat was dry and aside from a little cilantro there were no veggies in sight. We heard about people loving the cheese fries so we tried them out. They were mediocre. The fries themselves were good & the cheese sauce was pretty bland, nothing special. Don’t believe the hype.

It’s a small place right next to a gas station and an unexpected surprise. The food is really good and there is lots of good items on the menu. The prices are really reasonable and the service is great.

Really friendly people and tasty food. Wouldn’t be great for a group because it is a small place with limited seating, but for one or two(or a to-go order) I highly recommend giving it a try.

I love these little hole in the wall places because they have the best food. Tiny on the inside, but their food is great! It’s a little challenging to get to because it sits next to the Shell gas station right on the corner to the access road/on ramp from Jimmy Carter to PIB, but it’s definitely worth the trouble to get to. I’m just sad that I live and work further away, so I rarely get to go here anymore.

I love Las Tortas Locas. I grab lunch here on a weekly basis.(Tip: see my salsa guide below) I’ve also reviewed the Sandy Springs location which is a little bigger and nicer, all my comments there apply here. This location is a major hole in the wall, there are only 6 – 8 stools along the wall for seating an a couple patio tables outside. Plan to get your order to-go especially around lunchtime when it’s crowded. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu. Nothing I’ve had has been disappointing. The chicken flautas are my favorite. They’re crunchy, meaty, loaded with fresh toppings. The beef and chorizo/potato are nearly as good. The tortas are all fabulous, generously proportioned, well made, flavorful. I recommend the texana, pastor con queso and campesina. The tacos are mostly good, not great. I don’t love their tortillas, but the fillings are all flavorful. The pollo and pastor tacos are the standouts. The burritos are loaded with the meat of your choice and not much else. The pastor and asada burritos are just meat, onions and cilantro, they’re a little overwhelming. I do love the chicken burrito though, it’s just chicken, cheese and lettuce, it’s not overwhelming. I usually order the chicken burrito loco which comes with a small amount of rice and beans on the side. Sides are awesome as well. An order of chips and salsa or queso is easily enough for 2 – 3 people. The rice and the beans are great and come in an 8oz container each. The winner is the papas con queso(fries with cheese). I’d never have ordered french fries at a Mexican restaurant. But on numerous visits, while waiting for my order, I eavesdropped on the other customers orders to see what I should try next time. Papas con queso was the most frequent order. The fries are fabulous, hot crispy, a little greasy, the queso is creamy, cheesy and spicy. Best. Cheese. Fries. Ever. Also, try topping a carne asada torta with some queso and fries. Extravagantly good. No visit is complete without a horchata to put out the fire.(Vanilla cinnamon almond/rice milk) It tastes like melted cinnamon ice cream. Service is friendly. But there’s not much English spoken here. The cashier always understands my Spanglish order, but the numbers are called out en Español. Make sure you know your uno to diez and you should be ok. If you’re 47 listen for… cinco and… seis and you’re probably next. Show the guy your receipt to make sure you’re getting the right order. I feel the need to give a guide to the salsa bar. The options aren’t labeled, so it took me a while, and a few painful mouths to get it figured out. –The bright red salsa is «salsa roja», aka«salsa casera», it’s the mildest of the options. It’s your basic tomato, pepper, onion salsa. –The pale green is «guacamole taquera», basically a thin avocado sauce. Mild and creamy, it helps cut the spiciness of the other options. –The sliced onion salsa is «salsa criolla», basically pickled onions. The onions are medium spicy, but there’s some fiery orange peppers in there to watch out for. –The brownish salsa with black flecks is «salsa taquera», a tomatillo and dried pepper salsa. My favorite, it’s medium hot and has a nice smoky flavor. –The bright green«salsa verde» is good but very spicy. Tomatillo based and(I think) serrano peppers. –The innocent looking orange salsa is pure fire, it’s made of pickled carrots and, I suspect, habeneros, maybe jalapenos.

Yes the scenery is lacking, the place is a hole in the wall for sure. Get over it. Between me and some peers, we’ve had a bit of everything on the menu and you can’t go wrong at all. Tacos are awesome, same for the sandwiches, burritos, nachos, and quesadillas. My fave taco spot in atl.

I hate the bring the average of this place down, there’s nothing wrong with it at all! It just didn’t rate more than 3 stars to me. Yes, it’s a tiny hole in the wall and I took that into account, I’m just talking about the food. Philip and I had a ground beef taco, nachos(chips with a cup of cheese sauce to pour over), and a carne asada torta. Everything was just fine… but that was it. The bread was good, the steak was relatively tender, the portions are certainly filling but… well… it just seemed like plain ol’ fast food to me. And nothing wrong with that! Just not outstanding fast food. The cashier was super friendly and though we didn’t share a common language(any of them), we managed to order just fine. The place is fine. Just fine. Nothing wrong with it. But sorry… that’s not more than three stars.

This is truly a hole in the wall dive taco shop with scenic vistas of pumps 8 – 12 of the Shell station. While the atmosphere and seating may be lacking, the flavors of your steak tacos and tasty chips and salsa will more than make up for it. C’mon fellow gringos, don’t let the outside appearance scare you away. This place is solid.

Omg… That was really tasty! Tortas are by no means a light meal and I could’ve taken down 2 of those bad boys. The bread was nice and soft with just a bit of that chewiness I oh so love. I ended up getting 2 different tortas which were kind of mixed up with my friends orders so I don’t even know exactly what I had. I normally would just open it up to check, but I inhaled both before I remembered. The sauces and pickled veg that come with it are a must have. It’s a great mix of salty meat, tangy & spicy pickled veg, and decadent cooked egg. I drool just thinking about it. If you haven’t come before… you’re missing out! 9⁄365

I’ve been curious to check out more of the food in the area. This place is pretty good. I had a torta with roast pork. For $ 5.50, a huge sandwich with a thin spread of refried beans, pork, jalapenos, onions, tomatos, avocado, and a touch of avocado.
