A few months ago I had the pleasure of working with David on a costume project for my daughter. He was extremely helpful and friendly. He worked with us for quite some time and we left there with everything we needed and stayed below budget. David is a real asset to Tandy. I hope they appreciate him! I’ve been back to Tandy several times. Always a good experience. They could do a little better on some of their prices but all in all not terrible.

Tandy’s new location(they used to be on Lawrenceville Highway) is MUCH bigger, with a lot more inventory. As other Unilocalers have noted, the employees are all extremely helpful… with everything from finding all the stuff you need for your project to teaching you how to do things. And of course the whole place smells amazing.

I love this store! The employees are awesome each time I go in there with a question they are more then willing to give me a mini information session. They ask about your projects and encourage you to show off your work. I feel that anyone who is interested into working with leather should shop here if they can. The products are a million times better and affordable here then when I’ve gotten stuff from Michaels or hobby lobby.

Hey this is my new hobby/calling for 2013,. I actually visited for the first time In December but whatever. I love this place and look forward to my bi-weekly(payday!) visits to Tandy. The staff are great and very knowledgable. Leather and the tools aren’t «cheap» but Tandy often has sales so you can build your tools up slowly. Getting to touch and feel the leather is really what it’s all about. Have any questions, just ask everyone will be able to help.

Tucky Leather is awesome. It is tucked away in a rickety(and decrepit) little strip mall in Tucker, but really only about 15 minutes from Midtown(note: location is set to move this spring). They carry mink oil and saddle soap, which if you have fine leather shoes(or bags… or boots… really any good leather) you know you want! Great prices for the value of what you’re getting. They also carry all different kids of leather and hides, equipment for belt-making and all other sorts of arcana. If you want something that is related to leather, this is definitely the place for it. Very friendly sales people.

I decided after a few years of being envious of my father’s and close friend’s abilities to make really cool things out of leather I decided to venture into the world of leather work. Finding leather in Atlanta isn’t easy and Tandy’s name came up a few times. I ventured in with a ton of questions and only a few basic ideas of where I needed to start. The manager stepped right up and got me started. He asked what I wanted to accomplish and then followed through with helping me gather what I needed. He helped me find the best tools and materials that where within my budget and even shared a few money saving tips on how to finish my project. They also have classes available to learn about leather working and if the manager has a moment or two he’ll show you a few things inside the store.
