Don’t know why everybody is complaining. Beats the hell out of the park down the street for $ 5 parking but packed in like sardines and no good slopes. This place had great slopes, guy selling amazing hot dogs at the gate and a secluded spot up above the main track. Place kicks but, just don’t have to poop

We stopped here on our way to Tahoe for the week. Without comparing the parks to anywhere else it’s fine. When you compare this park to others you realize it lacks management and organization. It’s $ 10 to park and $ 10 per person to sled which is on the low end of other parks. Parents need to take an active role in supervision because you can’t doddle at the bottom of the slope or your kid will get slammed and hurt unintentionally by other sledders. Love the quick drive from sac though as there are not many other options.

Unsafe! All you get is employees screaming at everyone for no reason. Waste of money.

This place was fun. They had several different slopes and wasn’t overcrowded. The staff was friendly. They do charge $ 10 for parking and $ 10 per person but every place has to charge something to operate and to pay the staff. So if your gonna complain about their rates, stay home or go somewhere else. Restrooms are lame though, all they have are porta potties.

UNSAFE!!! RIPOFF!!! Once you sign the waiver, you can forget about raising any safety issues and or concerns to the«staff.» My child was injured here as she plowed through the barrier, and went over a hill, landing in a tree below. After making sure my little one was ok, I tried for 30 minutes to speak with someone in charge. All I got was the run-around and my family and I were brushed off. Bottom line is, safety isn’t a concern, what’s in your wallet is!

We had a blast here. Cheaper than Boreal, not too crowded, and the people seemed nice. We didn’t try to use the port-a-potties because all port-a-potties are fundamentally disgusting. If you get grossed out(like I do) you should just stop somewhere along the way, rather than whining because the little box filled with sewage isn’t clean enough.

Unsafe and there is no magic carpet. For what they charge($ 10 to park and $ 8 per person– even if you’re just watching) I’d have expected more. If not a magic carpet, at the very least a safer environment. Sledders regularly flew past the barriers and one little girl plowed right into my son(who was on the other side of the«safety barrier.») I realize it sounds like overkill but I would recommend putting a helmet on your little ones– particularly if the snow quality is low(i.e. icy.) There are really gross portapotties which, despite the nearest bathroom being rather far, I opted to skip all together. Nowhere to sit. Long story short, plan a little ahead and buy tickets online for Soda Springs– a much higher quality experience with FREEPARKING!!!

Y’all, what’s with the lack of love for this place? To those who complained about finding out about the per person fees, if you ask, the dudes they’ll tell you right up front as you enter the lot. The minuses — Bathroom porta potties are disgusting. Yes. So true. For the amount of $ they are gouging us for, a flush toilet would be nice. — No amenities. No water, no picnic area. The pluses — it’s the first snow/play area from sacto. — for city kids, heck, good enough! — we spent 2 hours sledding til our sled cracked, so you know we had fun. — snow! 3 hrs from home– yay, who doesn’t love that? Lemons from lemonade people, it’s $ 50(kiddo plus«pedestrian» fee) for 2 hrs of tubing at Boreal’s kid area, and there, the lines are muuuuch longer. You decide. Tip: download the waiver form beforehand and bring up to pay at the booth. Don’t stand in line for the waiver. Just go to the kiosk for your wristband.

$ 10 per car $ 10 per person regardless of if you sled or not(parents) The magic carpet was not working the day we went and yet no discount. It’s just a hill that’s it. No terrain. No equipment — bring your own or you have to buy it from them. Disgusting portable potties. It’s at most 1 hour of fun.

One star for my money back?! My family decided last minute to stop and let the kids play with snow before leaving back home to sacramento. We didnt want to pay $ 5 at the sno park to play less than an hour. So we thought we’d exit off kingvale to see if there were any free area. There was a spot, being its not an actual sno park, we thought we’d give it a shot! Oh it was free alright, for 20min by the gas station. The parking fits 10 cars if the other cars knew how to park! To the right was a good sized lot that you’d have to pay to park($ 10) and there was a snow area for you to play in further down! We were okay with paying $ 10 I guess, thinking just make it worth it. We gave the guy a $ 20, he was too busy complimenting our truck, he forgot to give us our change, luckily my husband remembered and he gave us a $ 20 back, which would have been fine! haha but we’re not that kind of people. So we walked down, only to find out, to play in the park you will have to pay another $ 10PERPERSON!!! Which we decided not to do because we were not planning to pay at all! For $ 10, we were better off going to an actual sno park and pay $ 5 for parking, no other fees! We could have played in the parking lot but they had signs up! So we left the lot, and talked to the guy who handled the parking fees, asked for our $ 10 back! My sister got hers, they didn’t really give her a hard time and she asked why they charged per person? They responded, «this is not a flea market where you can bargain, this is BUSINESS!» Mad, they yelled at the other customers to not go as you will have to pay person to play! I got to the guy and asked for my money back! The same guy said to his supervisor that we wanted our money back too! The Sprvsr told him to write down our license plate so we can never come back. I yelled, «DON’T WORRYWEWILLNEVEREVERCOMEBACK!» The guy gave us our money and said, «They dont usually do that», im like what do you mean they dont usually do that?! but he left and we drove off! And surely will never return!
