Called to make an appointment for my cat today to have his 6-​month hair cut (he has long hair and gets sick from stress when his hair gets too long). He is also a senior and stresses out when we go to the vet.
The receptionist said they had to schedule two appointments for him (one to draw blood and another trip to the vet for the haircut, if approved). I asked to speak with a vet to make an exception and she denied my request. «We will not change our policy for this cat.»
So, before they’ve even seen my cat, the receptionist told me they would follow policy before considering his individual health needs. I also want to emphasize that my request to talk to a doctor was denied.
I won’t set foot in this place with my animal and I encourage others to do the same.
