Chanello’s Pizza

Great pizza (Steak ‘n cheese), great Breadstix and quick service (delivered in just over 30 mins). They are not stingy with the cheese!

Tired and unprofessional. Pizza burnt and sold to me without explanation. Waste of money.

This place has really good pizza and some nice dessert options. Great food for the money. The only reason we can’t give it 5 stars is that it isn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but for chain delivery or take out pizza it’s really good.
We normally go for the supreme or pepperoni pizza with cheese bread or the dessert apple pizza — rather nice if you’re looking for an easy way to please everyone.

Normally super good but make sure you check your order before you leave… they have gotten my order wrong a few times.

So I’m back in the Norfolk area for the first time in five years and I was excited to chow down on some Chanello’s… I should have gone with Coggins instead.
Not only was the girl answering the phones at this location less than friendly (customer service must not be a priority), but when my order arrived (45 minutes later) I didn’t realize until I was back in my hotel room that they neglected to pack salad dressing for my salad or utensils to eat it.
When I called to ask for a refund for the salad they best they could do for me was to add a credit to my «account.» What good does that do someone who is only in town for a couple of days? Is it really that hard to credit the money back to my credit card?

Their menu says gluten free crust available and they had none available. Being that I just pulled in to norfolk and am very tired and don’t know my way around here I settled for pizza. Anyway the gluten free crust is not why I’m rating it a 2 star. It was the damn customer service. The girl on the phone was absolutely rude from the beginning. Usually a deal breaker, but being that I was so hungry I went ahead and ordered. She sounded like she absolutely hated her job and felt like I was ruining her night for calling and making her do her job. I asked her to repeat the cost of a pizza and she seemed very bothered by it. After she told me the wait time I said «ok great thanks» and with even more attitude I got the lazy «uh huh» and she hung up. Really!?! Had it on speaker and my husband over heard and couldn’t believe how rude she was. To the owners-​people like that will ruin your business. Absolutely ridiculous. I would never recommend this place to anyone staying near the navy lodge. With that much attitude you just don’t know what they could be doing to your food.

Not good at all. The wings were tiny and mushy. It reminded me of some frozen precooked wings I had in college. The mushroom and cheese pizza was as generic as you can get. Low quality ingredients equal a low quality meal

The Best Pizza in a 50 mile radius … Hands down.

I was looking for a good pizza place here in Norfolk, and this is it. Forget all that other crap, the crust on the pizza here is delicious, plus they have all the gret toppings so you cn order yourself a pepperoni, feta, and bannana pepper pizza which is amazing. They also deliver to the Navy base.

In town overnight at Norfolk Naval Station and needed delivery. I like mom-​n-​pop pizza joints cause sometimes they are a pleasant surprise. This one was not.
The kid who answered the phone was very obviously stoned. Not a deal-​breaker in itself. He eventually managed to take my order and promised a 25-​minute delivery.
The delivery driver called me 30 mins later because he went to the wrong address (likely a mistake by the stoned kid answering the phone). I got him to my location and he was very professional. Pretty speedy delivery considering the circumstances.
Unfortunately the pizza itself was disappointing. I liked that they included a little ranch dipping sauce but it didn’t compensate for the pizza. I intentionally avoided Pizza Hut and Dominos to try something different but either one of those national chains would have delivered a better pizza.
