This was a short trip out that I was dreading. My den cable box had started to tile & lose HD channels. This is something that can’t happen if you are injured and spent most of the time in a lounge chair facing the television. Having swapped out an upstairs box with the offending one, I procrastinated it’s return based on my previous experience with the Lynnhaven store. Finally when the swapped box also started intermittent tiling, I decided the time was now. I must admit that the Janaf Store, while close, was still out of my doctor required«drive only in the neighborhood» range. But being pretty certain that he would be in surgery, rather than at the Cox Store, I decided to attempt the feat. Now I have to tell you that this store is enormously hard to locate. It is on the back side of an out parcel strip of stores that face the original line of Janaf stores. You will find it next to a Panera Bread, which is equally hard to locate. As I drove up I was delighted to see a handicap parking space directly in front of the door. It was quite literally less than a dozen steps to the door. Waiting as I entered was a friendly and helpful employee who took my cable box & gave me a receipt slip showing what I returned. Now free of anything to carry, I was pointed to a comfy padded bench to await my turn with Customer Service. I didn’t have to wait long. My name was called by Whitney, who was extraordinary. She immediately brought me a new Contour Cable Box and Connect Kit. Her advice was that I should rotate out all my HD boxes, replacing them with the new type. At my request she also added an Mini Box to my account. The next thing she said was amazing. She had reviewed my account & found additional discounts that I should be getting. Even with the addition of the Mini Box, my bill would be $ 25 less per month. Whitney packed all my items in a nice reusable bag. As I reached for it she said«You don’t think I’m going to let you take this to your car!» And she didn’t. She walked with me to my car and carefully placed the bag with my new boxes in the back seat. The trip I had been dreading turned out to be quick, easy, pleasant and cost effective. Cox Communications — Your Janaf Store is the best!

I know y’all are gonna think I am crazy but I had to put a review here. I stopped by the Cox Solution Store today to make some changes to my service. My last visit to Cox, in person, was probably a decade ago and I remember it being worse than going to the DMV. Well, this time was so much better. When I walked in a gentleman asked my name and what I needed. Then I was able to either browse the store or sit comfortably until my name was called. In the past, the only option was standing in line for an hour. After maybe 8 minutes(could have been less) my name was called and I went to see a very nice guy at one of the workstations. There’s not a customer service desk, per se, as the employees are scattered around the store at various workstations. This young man was supremely friendly and eager to help with my issue. He made the transaction easy and almost fun. Crazy, right? I left feeling very happy that I had an enjoyable experience.
