My experience is with Geico claims handling. I’m not even sure what agent is handling the person who rear-ended our car, so this is review is not directed against an agent. But we have experienced very unsatisfactory customer service in getting my vehicle estimated. My car was rear-ended late afternoon on Dec 30. We called Geico claims the next morning. The first phone call went fine, but then we tried to call back, and after leaving three messages for the same person, we were finally successful on the fourth call. And were then told we had been assigned a new claims representative and that we had been notified of that! No, we weren’t. My car is not safe to drive and it took several phone calls to get my rental vehicle switched from two days out to that same day so I would not be without a vehicle. Since the car is not safe to drive, we decided that afternoon that instead of our having it towed to a garage for the estimate, to let Geico’s estimater come to the house, which Geico had offered. Which of course now can’t happen today(Jan 2) because«he’s too busy» and MAY be able to get here tomorrow. Which will mean the repairs will be lucky to start next week. My daughter had a similar experience with Geico last year when one of their clients hit the side mirror on her car and finally ended up paying for it to be fixed out of frustration! I will certainly keep my insurance with State Farm which I’ve had for YEARS!
