We were heading to a concert at the attached Infiniti Hall and decided to go to the Bistro for a before concert dinner. We were seated promptly and a waitperson came immediately and asked if we would like to order drinks. My wife had a good Chardonnay, although they are out of the better Chardonnay we ordered. Having read some reviews, I had the burger which was excellent and cooked to perfection. Order the pomp frites instead of regular fries. They were great! My wife had the farm salad with salmon and raved about it. Since we still had time before the concert, we splurges and had dessert. We each had a truffle that were huge and very good. The only issue was the noise level which was very high, making conversation somewhat difficult.

This was the perfect dining experience: the service was excellent, the timing of the arrival of the food from the kitchen was spot on, and the food was delicious! We started out with sharing the lobster hushpuppies — if you eat here, be sure to order these little darlings! There were 3 of us and each one was extremely happy with our entrees — gnocchi with meatballs, braised pork shank, and what my husband called«probably the best reuben he’d ever had»(this is high praise from a man who LOVES reubens and orders them frequently!) And even though we shouldn’t have, we ordered a few desserts to share — their cheesecake bites(amazing) and crème brûlée(my all time favorite dessert, and this one ranked right up there with the best!) The night we went was not a show night, so I don’t know if that makes a difference, but all three of us left there feeling like we’d chosen exactly the right restaurant!

My husband and I normally come here around once a week. Never had a bad meal until tonight. Service was pretty much non existent, I had the chicken fajita and the saffron rice was WAY over cooked complete mush and I got a side of corn bread that was so dry and cold… I told the waitress about the rice and they brought my another portion of rice only to be the same as before. The shows are great and normally the food is too.

We had a wonderful meal at Infinity Bistro prior to. Concert by the Ben Daniels Band with Jeff Daniels. Infinity Hall in Norfolk is a terrific place for a concert and the food and service added to a highly enjoyable evening by my entire family.

In the past we have been to the Bistro at Infinity for dinner before a show. Although I never thought it was 5 stars our dining experience was pretty good. Well, I don’t have any idea what happened but we went last night and our whole experience was a hot mess. The food was awful and so little selection. I had the coconut curry chicken bowl and it was just not good. No real flavor and a sickening sweetness which did not belong. As far as a curry flavor… nothing. Quite an expensive dinner to be so awful and I did not finish it. My husband had the Ruben which he said was ok. My friend had the Orecchiette Pasta and she did not finish it and said there was an awful cloying sweetness to it. Our other guest had the chicken pot pie and that was a gooey thick mess which tasted like it was canned. Again, very expensive awful food. This little Bistro could be a gold mine if they got a new chef and added a few more entrees. I won’t be eating there again anytime soon. Such a shame. The show however was great and we have never seen a bad show. For those reasons I love Infinity Hall. I just really really dislike the Bistro and it was the general concnsus of our table not just me

I’ve had the opportunity to eat dinner and lunch at the Bistro a few times now. It is with this in mind that I can comfortably comment on our experiences. My wife and I had dinner there before a recent show; I had the Italian Sausage & Orecchiette Pasta and she the Coconut Chicken Noodle Bowl. Our meals tasted… well…like…frozen dinners heated up. The drinks and the wait staff were great. No complaints there but for $ 19& $ 18 a plate respectively, I expect better. Their burgers are wonderful as are their sandwiches. Bottom line, if it’s the basics you are looking for — fine. On the other hand, if you are willing to drop some coin for a nice meal, my suggestion would be to try another restaurant.

I rarely do this but I wish I could choose 3.5 stars. The fourth star is driven totally by the accommodating service and nice atmosphere. And also — the pomme frites — fries with freshly grated cheese, truffle oil, and parsley. Oh my goodness — they are delicious! My first recommendation is to order these fries to share with at least two or three people. The portion is more than generous and, if you order a sandwich as an entrée, you can choose one of the other sides instead of fries. On this visit we ordered the house burger, no cheese and the salmon burger on special. The beef was cooked slightly under medium however they could be using steakhouse standards. It tasted fresh although could have used some sort of kick for flavor. It was decent. The salmon burger was good — not great. But the portion was big. Both burgers served on a brioche roll but only one roll was pressed on the grill before serving which I thought was odd. The side salads were drenched in the dressing. I just never understand who is putting dressing on these salads. It must be people who hate lettuce. Our waitress was wonderful. As an aside, we did have reservations but arrived early. The staff happily sat us ahead of our reservation which we were very pleased about. I would venture here again the next time I’m in the area.

Wile the food is 4 stars our dining experience on Wednesday, July 17 was a 1. We had a 6.30 reservation and received our meal at 7:50PM. Apparently, the kitchen was having a problem, and thebmanagement knew there was a major problem, so the start of the show was delayed 10 minutes, At no time during this wait did the management come over(we were a table of 5) to offer anything… be it extra bread, a round of drinks, an adjustment in the bill. NOTHING. Only the waitress stopping by saying«it is coming soon». When the bill was presented I asked for the manager, who then preceded offered complimentary desserts at 8PM. Really? She needed up offering to comp our 2 house wines not our entire bar bill which had 2 additional cocktails. I will certainly think long and hard before I return which unfortunate, because my 2 other dining times there were 4 stars!

Sit outside on a summer day for a beautiful meal. We drove down, my first time here. I stepped inside to see the theater and was greeted by a picture of a young Jerry Garcia on the wall. I looked around and saw the walls were filled with pictures of my favorite musicians in their younger days, and knew right away I would love this place. After the tour we went back outside to a lovely deck and had a great lunch. I loved my grilled salmon sandwiich– but REALLY loved the minted orzo salad that came with it. It was so refreshing on a hot summer day. I need this recipe. My friend finished my left overs before letting the server take the plate away. I will be back, for a meal or some music– or both!

Please see my(much) lengthier review under The Infinity Music Hall. I’ve only eaten at The Bistro once without it being prelude to a show at the Music Hall, so I combined my reviews. But the short version is, I love the Infinity Bistro! The setting, the décor, the unusual menu offerings(their version of calamari, with snap peas, a daikon radish slaw and lemon ginger aioli is sublime!). We’ve only visited on cold winter nights — the Norfolk town banners on the light poles boast«The Icebox of Connecticut» — but the location is very nice and I look forward to dining outside in the summer. It’s way off in the middle of nowhere, but if you’re making a trip to the Berkshires or out antiquing, enjoy the scenic ride and stop in for a bite. It is a wonderful place(and check out a show upstairs… best music venue you’ll ever find).

We ate at the Infinity Bistro and saw Kashmir(a Led Zeppelin Tribute Band) play in the theater. The bistro was very inviting, with good service and wonderful food. Our favorite appetizer was the Lobster Hush Puppies. The pricing was reasonable and the service attentive and swift. The show venue is very cozy which means there really aren’t any bad seats in the house… except the seats themselves were very uncomfortable. We ended up watching the final moments of the show standing in the rear of the theater, as our backs were sore from the uncomfortable seats. We couldn’t get combo seats, which would have allowed us to eat dinner in the balcony while watching the show. If you find yourself in the Berkshires and there is a good show playing at the Infinity, you can’t go wrong by purchasing tickets and having dinner at the venue.

Had a terrific salad here topped with an edamame veggie burger that was delish. My dining companion opted for the lobster roll and was not disappointed. I did find it a bit strange when ordering a Pellegrino that it came poured in a glass and not as an individual bottle. That’s just generally not done. They also may want to call it an edamame veggie burger and not an edamame burger. As a vegetarian, I can say unless we see that«veggie» included in the title, we tend to assume it means a regular burger topped with _________and skim on over it. Luckily, the server made the reco when I was ordering and only then did I realize it was veggie. Either way, I look forward to eating here again next time I’m in Norfolk.

I went to see Shawn Mullins, I discovered Infinity Hall Bistro. A Pu Pu Platter? $ 28.00? OK it looked interesting I ordered it as an appetizer. The following were on a large compartmentalized plate. Pu Pu Platter style, chicken apple sausage, steak skewers, shrimp cocktail, lobster hushpuppies, goat cheese red beet crostini’s These were all well prepared but none of these items are things I would go out of my way to order again. I just wondered«Why?» Kind of like over doing it. We ordered other food that was similarly well prepared but weird. The Teres Major Steak was delicious. Anyhow, the bartenders were awesome, the music and the seating was wonderful I loved the whole experience. Even with the odd food.

Great location if you’re seeing a show or just passing through. Modern, clean — if slightly standard — design and décor. Nice views of town and green spaces, including outdoor seating in front for the warmer months. Local art on the walls is a great touch. Solid, if not stellar, cocktails. Fresh squeezed juices(in addition to lime/lemon) would elevate the quality or the drinks substantially. Large, well priced wine list and a good assortment of brews on tap and by the bottle. The menu boasts local/sustainable foods and on this front it partly delivers. Would be great to see more vegetarian and vegan options, but I will say that vegetarians will eat well and easily here-vegans, somewhat less so. There are some vegan options, particularly if you are comfortable tailoring your meal by mixing and matching from salads and side dishes on the menu, but know that the edamame burger is not vegan and there’s not an already labeled as such vegan entrée. I’d go for the mixed greens sald and add veggies and a side of black bean salad for an exclusively vegan(and gluten free) meal here, but those three side items will quickly add up to $ 20 for not a tremendous amount of filling food. In terms of fish, salmon is not wild caught which seems like a missed opportunity for a sustainably-focused restaurant. Mixed greens salad with julienne vegetables and balsamic was great split two ways. Avocado would have been a good addition, as would chickpeas(my wish list-not actually available). The sourdough bread basket was nice but multi grain crusty local bread would be tastier. Scallops with sundried tomatoes over garlic spinach was a dream entrée for me-gluten and dairy free, clean and delicious, particularly the tomatoes. But at $ 28 for 4 scallops, I honestly was still a bit hungry, and I’m not a huge portions person. Don’t know whether that’s because we hiked for a couple hours before dinner, but some herb roasted potatoes really would have rounded this dish out and made me feel better about the price tag(I had to have a post-show snack at home). No non-fried potatoes in the house. No real whole grains or healthy starches to speak of generally here, apart from fries and white rice. My man really liked the edamame burger and enjoyed the pommes frites-not amazing, he reported, but solid. Simple dessert menu with American standards, including tasty pie from a local bakery and ice cream from a Litchfield creamery. I’d probably candidly give this spot 3.5 stars if I could but I rounded up because the server was fabulous, the kitchen was open to some special requests and the location is great.

Nice atmosphere with attentive friendly service. My wife enjoyed the wonderful all meat crab cakes and we both enjoyed and highly recommend the lobster hush puppies. I have to say I was disappointed with my selection of the special, shepherds pie, which was served cool and reminded me of mash potatoes over Dinty Moore Stew, will definitely try something else next time.

Steak & eggs, lobster in various formats, brunch options available, great atmosphere, sandwiches of all kinds and sizes, sides well worth the tempting of, a decent wine list, and various options by glass. All one could ask for but to be honest it’s a bit ambitious and sounds better than it really is. The french toast was worth mention as the breach was thick and homemade and the service is acceptable but the attempts to do «farm to table» options and wine pairings with meals really over state the skill of the kitchen. It’s likely a great spot to eat prior to a concert and there isn’t enough positive I could say in that regard and the sound space is truly unique and I’d go to this venue in a heartbeat if there was a show compelling me to go — just haven’t seen that happen yet.

Picturesque setting. We came here for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. Before going to a concert(The Kingston Trio), we made a dinner reservation at the Bistro. I must say, the food was tasty but a bit greasy. We had steaks, leaf-spinach and Pommes Frites. The Frites were undercooked and soggy. The Salmon-Corn Chowder was excellent. We also had coffee which I thought was fantastic. It consisted of coffee, Kahlua, Baileys, Grand Marnier, and Frangelica. Our waiter(Mark) was great!

Looking forward to coming back before a concert — so glad to find out about this gem. Pluses: YUMMY Sangria — and you could buy it by the glass($ 8) instead only by the pitcher like at so many places; freshly baked crusty bread; very pleasant hostess who agreed to take up up to tour the music hall even though we didn’t have tickets; $ 2 scoops of local ice cream — so you can have a small dessert inexpensively. Of our 4 entrees, the rueben sandwich was excellent, and the others were good. The cups of soup are large, and the bowls are enormous. we ate indoors, but the outdoor patio would have been great if the weather had been warmer.

Came here before a Marc Cohn concert and very glad we did. Creative dishes and friendly service. The menu changes a bit seasonally. We had the pumpkin soup(which was terrific and beware, the bowl is a big bowl of soup) and calamari to start. Then a ribeye with chimchurri sauce(mmm) and a nice filet. They have local ice creams and sherbets too. So why no five stars? Its the little things. Service was good, but our main dish came out on top of our appetizers. Big no-no. We were trying to make a concert but had over an 75 minutes to go. No need to rush us! And how about refilling the water glasses! If you have a show here, its definitely worth a stop by. We’ll come back next time we’re in town.

Well, I guess I’m the first to dip below 4 stars for Infinity Hall Bistro. It’s certainly not because I’m in a bad mood, but rather because it was just ok. While dining outdoors on the terrace is lovely(which we selected because of the smell of disinfectant cleaner permeating the inside), and the Bloody Marys with brunch were very good, the food was just… ok. Just to be clear, it wasn’t bad… just…yup…you guessed it… ok. I’ll give them another shot at some point, next time for dinner. I’ll look forward to reading your experiences as encouragement.
