It’s a really great place to eat African food, it’s just delicious. I had Yassa fish and Brochette chicken, they’re delicious, I will recommend it to anyone wants to try good African food.

The food was fresh and tasty. If you want to try some real African food. I highly recommend this one. They have lot different things on menu, also the worker there they really help you pick something you going to like. The prices are very affordable. Is definitely a restaurant worth coming back again.

Wanted to try some authentic African food so I came here. The location is kinda tucked away off vb blvd but it was worth visiting. The inside and seating is very basic. Tables, chairs some African art etc. After ordering the food it took 15 – 20 minutes to prepare teensy bit too long(i know im spoiled) however was delish! especially the grilled fish. highly recommended. Also tried the Mafe. I think that is the name or something similar, it is lamb stew w/tomato peanut sauce with steam rice a must try. The Bissap juice taste like flowers or leaves lol, a bit too sweet but can be diluted with water. The next time I’m craving some African cuisine this will be the spot I come to.

This tucked away gem has great Senegalese food. Made to order and fresh. I got just about one of everything. I was highly satisfied with the service and flavor of everything. I can’t wait to go back!

As I sit here this morning eating my leftover Thue Curry from yesterday’s lunch, I feel compelled to leave a review for this restaurant. Since moving to VA, I’ve been craving my regular African dishes that I was privy to in other states, but been greatly disappointed. Not many options in Hampton Roads. Anyway… I Unilocaled«african food» and this diamond in the rough a.k.a Lilly’s Corner popped up. I’ve tried two entrees thusfar. Both de-licious! But this one right here! This Thue Curry that I’m currently demolishing for breakfast is theeee best! Simply the best! I haven’t had much experience with Senegalese dishes, prior to VA I mostly ate Nigerian dishes. But I will say this dish gave me the fix I’ve been craving. Not to mention, the customer service here is impeccable! Both visits were very personable and even educational lol. I felt like I’ve been going to that restaurant for years. Anyway, I’m definitely going back, in fact I may even be going back today when they open :)

The food is amazing! I have had the Chicken Yassa, Beef Dibi and the Chicken Curry all scrumptious dishes. Definitely will be coming back for more.
