I love this gym it has all new equipment. Staff are friendly and helpful. The real turnoff from this place is the parking. It seems like everyone and their family has an assigned parking, so you have to park blocks away. You basically get a workout from your walk to the gym.

I went there about 14:00. It’s not crowded and clean. They have enough equipments. Some staff are friendly and some are not. I wanna go back there again.

Good gym. No one is ever here. Plenty of free weights and plenty of machines. They also have this TRX set up in there. Never busy. Go now and work on your fitness. super hours… I think they open up at something like 0600 or earlier.

Location location location… the adage speaks to the value of a place and such is the case with this gym. The close proximity, given the relatively small size of the annex base, makes this gym ideal for the mid day break away from work. The gym floor has recently been refinished and the face lift made the aged building look shiney new and provide a nice venue for the occasional hosted basketball tourney. Daily use lockers are plentiful. If you prefer, there are lockers available for $ 6 per month on a rental basis if you prefer not to tote a gym bag everyday. There is ample cardio equipment, except perhaps during the peak morning hours populated by several command fitness program participants. The facilities also include a sauna; particularly handy in the winder months to drive the chill from the bones on teh colder winter days.

For a small base like NSA Hampton Roads, it provides a good amount of different fitness options including racquetball(and squash?), cardio, basketball, free weight and a stretching/core room. Check out the current group exercise schedule at: The facilities are maintained well, and the staff is friendly for the most part. There’s now a coffee bar, «Navy Beans»(get it?) located inside the gym entry so you can grab your cup of addiction after a morning workout on your way to work.
