For some reason this Starbucks decided to NEVER have whole milk or skim milk at the bar(maybe they do early morning, but I’ve been here over five times now midday /evening and didn’t see it). SO if you want milk(not half and half) for your overpriced coffee or other drink, you gotta ask them. Wouldn’t be so bad if the employees had carafes ready(like they’re supposed to and like other Starbucks have), but they don’t and they will make it seem like you are really annoying them that you paid at least $ 5 for a coffee and dare to ask for a little bit of cold milk. They will grudgingly pour a little bit of milk in a cup for you to pour it back in your coffee. Other Cons: the chairs make an atrocious noise every time they are moved. Get some pads. And some(not all) employees do not make the drinks properly(specifically flat white /latte macchiato). Trust me on that, I frequent many Starbucks and it’s the only one different. Some Pros: it’s clean, and some employees are super nice. But management is clearly not training them all evenly and again … leave some milk out. Even 7⁄11 does.

This is my favorite location for Starbucks. The morning crew is so nice, especially Chelsea. When I roll out of bed and can’t even talk yet before I’ve had my coffee I stumble into Starbucks and it is «just right» as Baby Bear said. They instantly have my coffee, I take the first sip, I’m a human being again, and all those nice people are there starting my day off with a smile. Thank you!

I come here often since I live near it, and I’ve never had problems with service. Yeah, some lady grabbed my drink, but they ask you what you’re waiting on and proceed to apologize & remake the stolen beverage immediately. Maybe it’s from one barista to another, but they’re as efficient and friendly as possible. I also enjoy exchanging the«lol why is that customer so inexplicably rude» looks with the baristas when I’m in there doing schoolwork.(Seriously people, you become someone’s joke when you make a complete idiot of yourself. Chill out, there are bigger worries in the world than your quad-shot grande 3 pump caramel with .25 pump mocha latte with coconut milk at 128 degrees F with no foam drink not tasting exactly the same way as it was made for you the first time.) Politeness seems to escape some people when it comes to drink that was mistaken. I’ve never gone through the drive-through because a 9-car-line is something I’d rather bypass by walking in the store. The inside is clean, and studying is totally possible. It’s a good location with a scary parking lot, but the baristas are on point, so I’ve no complaints.

Love this location! Its close to my house and on the way to work. Ive been through the drive through, quite a few mornings to get co-workers coffee. And the service Ive received every time is friendly, accurate and fast! Im a fan!

So, I wasn’t sure if I could give this place 5 stars, even if my drinks and the timeliness were perfect– well, turns out they earned it! My husband’s birthday is today(27!) and he asked if he needed the Starbucks card in order to get the free birthday drink… They said yes, unfortunately– but as we pulled up to the window, they changed their tune. The cashier was like, hey birthday boy! We’ll give you that drink free anyway. That was awesome! In the past, I’ve had overall good experiences at this one as well. As long as it’s not rush hour you’re given fast accurate service, and the staff is very polite overall. I got a flat white, and I do have to say it’s one of the better ones I’ve had at a Starbucks. In Australia these things are like liquid paradise to me, so they definitely don’t have Aussiland beat(and I’m still looking for a place in America that does). Still good though.

I was really excited to try this Starbucks out because I haven’t set foot in Wards Corner since my days at ODU, but I was really disappointed in the service. I wanted to take advantage of the«Buy 3, Get 1 Free» special that Starbucks ran this past weekend, so hubs and I ordered 3 drinks — 1 for each of us, plus we were taking the extra one to a friend. We ordered the drinks at the drive-thru. When we get to the window to pay, the guy at the window gave us crap about the special. Something about having to see the code I was given for the special. I’ve never had to do that at any other Starbucks because I have a Starbucks gold card. When you use that card, all of the specials that are available to you automatically come up. So I had to pull out my phone and look up the stinking code for this schmuck at the window. Ugh! Oh yeah… And that was the worst iced white chocolate mocha I’ve ever had. It was still warm at the bottom and I got sick from it later on that day. I’m only giving this Starbucks a star because I have to. I will find my coffee fix elsewhere in that part of Norfolk.

3.5 — I’ve been here a couple times and each visit is so different. Never know what service I’ll get. Drive through is slow and is kind of weird to get too. This is a busy area. Easier to park and walk in. The most recent to last time they messed my drink up and then forgot to remake it. Awkward. Sat there so long I started drinking the messed up one. Finally got replacement and the original, jacked up coffee was better. Yesterday I went and had the best service. Venti caramel crunch with extra caramel everywhere. Me: this looks delicious. Batista: I pushed it all in and swirled it all about. Me: sexy and delicious Yummy! Exact quote. A funny for your day.

I like that there is a new location near by work and in the developing area of Wards Corner. Nothing special about this location but it does look nice and they actually have a drive up as well. Trying one of there new arrivals, a dark walnut roast and I am really enjoying it as well.

This location is fairly new, in a shopping center that was built about a year ago. It is very convenient because it’s the only Starbucks in the area that has a drive-thru, but other than that, it’s almost like any other Starbucks. I do have to say that the service is a hit or miss. Some of the baristas I’ve encountered are friendly and extremely helpful, while others are… not as friendly and make it apparent that they do not want to be there. Hopefully when you go you’ll experience the friendly baristas! And of course, if you don’t feel like getting out of the car, just use the drive-thru! I do it, too!

So there are days that they are quick, and others where you are waiting in the drive through line, not moving for 10 minutes. Seriously, can we have some better Baristas?! This place is in the corner of a shopping plaza that gets crowded fast, so I wished my service was just as quick and they get training on making Iced Coffee. I haven’t had any bad experience on ordering hot beverages, but each time I order Iced Coffee, it doesn’t taste like they mix it in the cup before they put it in the cup they give me.

Is probably one of the best Starbucks in Norfolk. The staff is very friendly, they will go out of their way to make sure you leave happy. The lines are not long. All your favorite Starbucks choices are always available. Definitely need to stop by here if your around the area. Don’t settle for the halfway Starbucks in the farmfresh around the corner, come to the real thing.

It’s that NEWNEW! This one is conveniently located on wards corner, making it my pit stop right before I head to the highway on my way to work. They never have the breakfast sandwich that I want, but they do have equally pricey alternatives, that they would be more than happy to suggest to you. Although I’ve actually never stepped foot inside this location(I’ve only gone through drive-through), I can tell you it’s pretty much the same as all the others. Nothing fancy here. Really the main differences is their staff. Which is a hit or miss depending on time and day. Also, their parking lot situation is a little weird. So be extra careful pulling out from their drive-through.

The most inconsistent baristas I’ve ever come across in a Starbucks. Come on guys, get yourselves together! I know you’re a new store, but I would think Starbucks has a training program? I’ve paid $ 2.05 for a drink, only to pay $ 5.45 for the exact same drink the next day. Then $ 2.95 the following day. I’m confused with that turn of events. And don’t ask to have your iced coffee blended. What’s supposed to be placed in a larger size cup may or may not be, depending on the barista. When you ask about it and point out that they’ve poured half your drink down the drain and how to remedy it, they look at you with a blank look and say they can remake something else. Doesn’t really solve the issue at hand, does it? There’s a reason I ordered it that way. It’s kind of a disappointment, because I really was excited when this place went up so close to home.

They have CLOVER(Reserve Coffee) here. That automatically gives them 5 stars but of course there are other items that add to the experience. The workers were nice and attentive. The store was clean and well organized. There was plenty of seating both indoors and out. They have free wifi(I know. all starbucks do but it’s just an added pro). Lastly, they have reserve coffee(duh). So you know when you finally get that 12th star and then you get the free coffee/food/drink item from Starbucks as a THANKYOU for drinking/eating so much of our product? That’s when you order the reserve coffee. Though they appear to be out of most of them they did have one that I can’t remember the name of but it was from Mexico. They grind the beans in front of you and then they use their Clover machine to brew you a FRESH cup of coffee! It was smooth. If that’s not reason enough for a 5 star review then I have no idea what else to say to you. It’s pretty awesome. That grande cup of freshly ground freshly brewed coffee was worth having to deal with regular pikes place those other 12 times. HAHA. Just kidding. I like Pike’s too. But I like the reserve coffee even more.

Finally a place at Wards Corner to enjoy a good cup of coffee. The staff is well trained and courteous. 10 plus outdoor tables is a real amenity. A great place to people watch and relax with your iPad.

They are working the kinks out. I say give this store a chance! They made a couple errors including not listening to my order and making the wrong drink! They did fix the problems but I think it will all work out in time! So all in all a good drive thru and sit down location. So far no one smiled or seemed really happy to be brewing on my visit but maybe it is just new store stress again.
