Bard Optical

When we took our son into Bard to get new glasses we had a good experience with the doctor… but overall the office staff was unprofessional enough that we will never go back. Out of the five people on staff, one lady was nice to us but the other four were not and we truly felt like we were a distraction to them.
In fact, the final straw for us was when one person on the staff tried to ‘call us out’ when we called in to check the status the glasses we ordered. We were told they would be in Tuesday or Wednesday, so we called late on Wednesday when we did not hear from them. They said they would check and call back. They did not call back. So we called again on Friday and the lady on the phone said «like we said yesterday we will call you when they come in». Though we corrected her both on the date we called and the time-​line we were told, the damage was done.
I used Bard 15 years ago when in college and had great experiences and was the reason we came back when we moved back into town a few months back. But this is not the same Bard I remember, and would recommend to take your business elsewhere. There are places locally that have better prices and selections and it is just not worth the 1 in 5 chance you will get the lady that was actually professional to us.
