YUM! Talk about great Italian food. Get the Fornarina to start. You will not be disappointed. It’s just like cheesy bread but with magic truffle oil. If you love lamb, this is the place to get it. It is the best entrée on the menu. Everything is pricey but it’s quality and worth the money. I wouldn’t expect to pay anything less for nice Italian. The only complaint I had was that our table was crappy. We made a reservation a week in advance for 3 and we were sat at a table in the middle of the floor where the breeze from the outside could be felt. I will request a booth next time.

Holy moly absolutely best food I’ve had in Oklahoma. Our waiter was Caleb, very friendly, kept us smiling all night, very attentive. I had the Filetto Rosso, my partner had the Veal parmigiano, and our friend had clams and sausage, we all had different salads, and different desserts. EVERYTHING was to die for! My only small tiny qualm would be they gave us bread but no knife to cut it, no butter, no herb oil just a giant roll of bread, I may have gotten greasy hands ripping it apart but it was scrumptious! 2nd thing was the«to-go» bag was HUGE for lmy tiny little leftovers lol. Seriously food, atmosphere, staff was all amazing and decadent. Will recommend to friends and family!

Nothing new to report here, other than the new menus and wine lists. I ate the lamb shank special last night and as always, the food was perfect. We went with the meatballs for the app and they we are incredible. Seriously, everything about Benven is perfect. This place would hold up anywhere you put it.

I came here after a Sooners game craving some fine dining. The atmosphere seemed more like a chain restaurant considering how crowded it was. Since no seating was available I sat at the communal table. I first had the Benvenuti salad which overall I found to be very good. The walnut cider balsamic was delicious and was in just the right amount. At some places, they like to drench the salad in the dressing. It also came with a poached pear which I found to be okay. The candied walnuts were very tasty but I felt they could have been a little less sugary especially since the dish preceded the main entrée. For the entrée I had the crusted rack of lamb, which I found to be good but not mind-blowing. It came with watercress, square shaped potatoes that I found to be slightly too buttery, and also yougurt drizzled on the side of the plate. The yogurt went okay with the lamb. Don’t get me wrong, it was a respectably tasty dish but did not merit the price imho. For dessert I had the chocolate tort cake and found that to be fabulous. The cake was extremely rich, which at first had me apprehensive given how sweet I anticipated it to be, but to my surprise it was not at all too sweet. Maybe it could have come with more whipped cream, but all in all it was excellent and was by far the best part of the meal. The service was very good as I got my meal in good time, especially the salad which came right away. I managed to have some nice conversation with some of the other clientelle at my table as we curiously discussed each of our dishes. The pigs and scallops dish, which is what the other lady was having, looked exquisite and in hindsight I would have ordered that instead. Although the final price was I would say slightly higher than the food merited the food and dining experience were still very good and in no way was I disappointed in my decision to come here. 4 stars is a solid rating.

Best restaurant in Oklahoma! Wow. We had amazing food and a wonderful experience there. We ordered the caprese salad– which was amazing. We split the lobster ravioli and a pepperoni pizza– and couldn’t get enough. The chef and owner was a generous and gracious host. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant any more. The décor was gorgeous and prepare to love every bite.

Visited this place a few days ago and was really impressed. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. The food is great too — I ordered the chicken marsala and it was delicious. Dessert was the highlight — I had the vanilla bean custard. Delicious!

We had about given up on finding a decent Italian restaurant in this area when by chance we came across Benvenuti’s. I quickly looked up the Unilocal reviews and we decided to give it a try. SO glad we did. It was great! Delicious food, old-fashioned atmosphere. Great service. What more can you want?

My first time. In their defense I should have researched how expensive this place was before we came today; however I paid 23 dollars for 6 sausage ravioli. If u are going to charge 23 dollars for a dish maybe you have enough food on a plate to fill a 4 yr olds stomach. Literally the worst deal I have EVER paid for food. I like food. I would never go back for the food. I did really enjoy my cocktail. Italian food isn’t about shitty prices and empty bellies. How about decent prices and decent quantity?

The food was excellent!!! I strongly recommend the Mussels Appetizer, and the Divers Scallops. We were in the back room with wood floors, sitting next to a large group, who all 15 were talking LOUDLY! We could barely hear each other while sitting next to each other. The food alone would give it a 5 star, but the noise dropped it to 4 star.

Set up a Unilocal account just so I could rate. I had my order delivered and got the Chicken Marsala. OUTSTANDING! Everything was cooked perfectly. Will definitely recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next order.

Benvenuti’s is far-and-away the best all-around restaurant in Norman. The food is primarily Tuscan with some obligatory Neapolitan selections. However, Le Cordon Bleu Certified Executive Chef Anthony Compagni conducts a symphony in his kitchen putting a personal touch on every dish making the dining experience among the best anywhere in the United States. Speaking of the dining experience Benvenuti’s boasts comfortably intimate yet delightfully noble dining rooms. The service is en pointe, and the environment is suitable for enjoying private conversation at a normal volume. The boutique wine list is carefully selected to pair with the items on the menu, and for those who would care for a sommelier recommendation they are clearly printed on the page. In addition to bottles and glasses, ½ bottles and flights are available as well. If you seek a premier fine dining experience Benvenuti’s on W. Main in the center of Norman has what you’re looking for.

Now I cannot tell you much about the food they serve. Much too fancy for my classic all American country boy taste. But what I can tell you is they have a wonderful atmosphere. I love sitting out on the patio in he fall and winter. They are family friendly. Surprisingly they have some of the best Mac and cheese I have ever had. I told you it was a surprise. You don’t expect that from such a upper class place. But hands down. They have the BEST desserts you will ever have the pleasure of putting in your mouth. We are known to go in a group and order almost every single one just so that we may try them all. Because they constantly change he menu to keep things fresh. This place has something for everyone.

Benvenuti’s is the kind of restaurant that has top food and top service for, yes, top price. But it’s worth it! There are too many restaurants that want to be fancy and charge hefty prices, but you almost feel cheated paying it when you know your experience wasn’t what it should have been. Benvenuti’s is worth every penny. It’s a beautiful restaurant, with very professional service and amazing food. I had the mushroom rigatoni, and it’s crazy amazing! Also, my waiter recommended the sgroppino when I told him I liked champagne, and it was a great recommendation. It’s champagne and vodka with a scoop of lemon sorbet floating in it. Killer. I’ll be bringing my parents here next time I’m in Norman.

I would vote this as the best food, atmosphere and service in Norman. Something for nearly any taste. Every time we go I try something different and I have never been disappointed. Good wine and beer selection rounds it out. The special is always a treat. Even the salads are exceptional. Prices are acceptable. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. Recently they did a great job taking care of our 10 person table although most times we only have 4 seated.

The regular menu is pricey so if you want a classy night for less money, I highly recommend the pizza selection($ 12 – 15). The prosciutto and arugula pizza is incredible!

My wife and I are always going to Benvenuti’s for date nights. This place has a great atmosphere and is a good place to have a nice dinner with friends and family. I am partial to the caesar salad for an appetizer then going right into one of their pizzas. My wife generally gets a fish or an pasta dish. I have also had the lasagna and enjoyed it as well. They have a good wine list and the wait staff are knowledgeable about the wines to help customers. Come by and try it out!

Living in Norman for the past four years and just now reviewing Benvenuti’s is shameful on my part. Only eating at Benvenuti’s once in college is equally shameful. I came twice in high school, one being for my junior prom dinner, but we don’t need to think back that far. Dined here with family on a Sunday evening. There was a good crowd for a Sunday and service didn’t slip because of the time. Everything on the menu is perfection, but I’m big on ordering from the specials at any restaurant so I can try something before it’s gone. Well my dish of a crusted white fish with shrimp and mushrooms and tomatoes in a light cream sauce should be reconsidered as a maninstay dish. It was light but filling, perfect to pair aside all the heavy pasta dishes. I wasn’t super hungry when we got there so I went for the lighter dish, but I obviously snuck bites of my sister’s risotto and drooled over my parents spaghetti and lasagna. Benvenuti’s is fancy enough for a celebration dinner,(prom dinner) but also casual enough for a relaxing Sunday night family dinner. Glad to see Benvenuti’s is still going strong since my last visit near 6 years ago!

Absolute favorite dinner in Norman! Celebratory, feel good, fine dining. The bread: fresh, piping hot, crispy, & fluffy center! Great with EVOO, cracked pepper, and balsamic vin! Wine: I like Cult or a flight App: the Benvenuti salad or fried risotto Entrée: Filet(cuts like butter and bursting with complex flavors! Amazing lightly seasoned rub sears to a perfectly crispy outer layer) or the Chilean sea bass(flakey texture — rich flavor! Covered in a delicious cream sauce on creamed spinach and mashed potatoes! Delicious!) Many folks rave about the lobster ravioli — I wasn’t too impressed. The sauce was slightly to heavy on the cream and diminished some of the delicate flavor of the lobster. Dessert: I am indifferent to their deserts.

Benvenuti’s is the best restaurant in Norman right now, and as far as I know, ever. First of all, Benvenuti’s takes reservations, which is fantastic. And, the only time I went, I found they keep them. Myself and a friend ate together on a Friday night. The place was nearly full, but we were seated immediately in the bar area. The interior is very comfortable. It’s appointed well, but not to the point you are uncomfortable or its stuffy. The menu is not enormous(which is a good thing), but it has quite a bit of variety. To start, we decided on the Fornarina, which is bread baked with focaccia, mozzarella, ricotta, and truffle oil. The bread is crisped nicely, enveloping ooey gooey melted cheese. It’s a little messy to eat with your hands solely, but it’s fantastic. The cheese is clearly of high quality, and the combination is excellent. The truffle oil(an ingredient with which I am not in love) added a nice earthy flavor. Absolute re-order. The entire menu looked great, but I had my eye on only one thing: the American kobe beef ribeye, served with garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini. This is the best steak I’ve had outside of the big boys in Las Vegas in some time, and it is probably the best steak I’ve had outside of Las Vegas ever. It was enormous, served bone-in. The sear was textbook, as was the temperature(medium rare). It is just fatty enough, the little flecks running through the entirety of the steak. It shows what you can do when a steak is of the utmost quality and is prepared expertly. The price wasn’t cheap, but when you consider what you are getting, it was a bargain. If you are a steak person, this is a must order. I know that Benvenuti’s is my new go to in Norman for dinner. I can’t wait to make my way through the pastas and pizzas on the menu. But, I know I’ll be back for that steak very soon…
