The food was incredible. Service needs some work. The hostess pointed to the table you’re supposed to sit at instead of walking you over with menus and silverware. I also witnessed the hostess seating a family of 4 with a baby at the bar top(not an alcoholic bar), but who does that? I should have left after I waited for 5 minutes before a server approached me at my table. I stuck around and enjoyed every bite of my meal. If the service improves, I’ll go back.

We are regular breakfast customers, however when I brought our 1 year old girl with us, we were treated extremely poorly. The waitress was annoyed that we needed a highchair, and that we asked for a child’s milk. The food is very good, but the service was very unwelcoming to our family.

Heard about this little Mexican restaurant through some friends and after reading all the reviews I wanted to try for myself. Since I’m a foodie and enjoy blogging my experiences. Google maps will take you directly to this establishment. It’s kinda hidden from the main roads within a small center. Very neat Mexican restaurant with a small diner feel, clean, tables not over-crowded and you feel welcomed. I observed the different plates from breakfast to lunch and everything looked top notch, delicious and well prepared. My mouth was watering just waiting. Lol I ordered the Green Chile Enchiladas with rice and pinto beans. I wanted them with the sauce on the side so my waitress brought out the green sauce, red chile sauce and the mild sauce like pico. Man oh man i used all the sauce and it was amazing. Very impressive, cleaned my plate like momma used to say. Only regrets is not ordering another plate. Lol

My husband and I finally got our schedules aligned to come here and were not disappointed. Best Mexican food I have had in a long time! I had the carnitas tacos and my husband had the green chile chicken enchiladas both with the delicious black beans. I can’t wait until our next opportunity to go back! My husband was super impressed as well and promised we’re going again next week. Service was excellent too!

Where to start? Where to finish? Those are the questions regular diners must confront. And it is exceedingly difficult. The food is all cooked by the namesake and he is busier than a Hartsfield air traffic controller. And makes it all perfect every time. Probably my favorite restaurant in a city with more than its share of very good restaurants.

Well I tried to place an order to go but they refused to wrap the tacos up or put potatoes in them guess that’s mind-boggling to someone in Oklahoma Seems like whoever answers the phone runs an interesting business

Outstanding. Great flavors and try it with the homemade hot sauce. Only criticism is the biscuits and gravy are a little bland, especially considering how bold the flavors are of everything else.

Dear world — you should eat here. No-fuss, no-muss — diner like speed and efficiency, but chef-level food. Dear Unilocal — thank you for telling me about this place. I would have never known about it otherwise. it’s in side a shopping center, and the front does not face the street. So it’s not really something you would find by driving by. That said, I’m not so sure the place needs random Unilocalers or out of towners coming in. They have a local clientele that the servers dote on and seem to genuinely enjoy seeing. That doesn’t mean they weren’t welcoming to a stranger. In fact, I only mention this because it added to the sincerity of the place.

I have never been here for lunch, but the breakfast specialties are on point. Weve tried every specialty items and never been disappointed. They also have a daily special posted on a chalkboard in the back. The food is Not too spicy if that’s not your thing. If it is, order the house hot sauce. My only complaint is the coffee is weak. I have been here a plethora of times and only once had poor service which I believe was due to a lack of help in the kitchen.

Love Juan’s! The old Chef from the Diner left to start this Mexican influenced diner of his own! I’ve only been for breakfast/brunch so I can’t speak for the dinner options. All I know is the Huevos Rancheros are always on point and honestly are the only thing I’ve ever ordered. During the week it will be full but usually no wait, but if you try to go on a Saturday or Sunday you will run into a line out the door!

5 stars! I may perhaps be over-valuing this place because of my own personal need for something new to me in Norman, but nonetheless, 5 stars. First time here and will definitely be back again, many times. This is what a breakfast joint is supposed to be. Nothing fancy, just fresh ingredients prepared well. I went with the huevos rancheros special and it was terrific. Fresh jalepeno and black beans with subtle but very complimentary green chili sauce. The place was full of customers on a Wednesday morning so really I hope people stay away because I hate waiting, but Juan’s is worth waiting for!

Arrived at 7:35. Got my food by 7:40. And it was pretty busy, I must say! I loved the tamale and eggs! Goodness, it filled me up so quickly. I’ve never been here before and I had no idea if I’d like it or not. Of course, knowing me, it was delicious. Creamy eggs with ranchero sauce is the best! Definitely recommend this joint. It’s still relatively new, and very customer friendly. They seem to like working there and it makes the atmosphere even better!

Best breakfast in Norman. Be prepared to wait outside for a table in the weekends. Their Mexican style breakfasts are huge and tasty. They are closed on Mondays and close at 2 daily. Service is prompt and the place is clean.

One of the best brunch places in Norman! Be prepared for a 30 min wait on weekend mornings, but it’s worth it! Always get the Papas con Chorizo… so good! Salsa is delicious, fuego potatoes are amazing.

Juan is doing some quality work here. As others note, Juan rose to fame in Norman cooking at the venerable breakfast location in town(in my opinion), The Diner. He opened his own place a few years ago and it’s doing well. My first time at Juan’s, I had the egg quesadilla. This is a crispy flour tortilla stuffed with eggs, cheese, chiles, and tomatoes. I added sausage. It is served with a side of hash browns or Fuego fries, which are Juan’s version of home fries. The quesadilla is great, and it’s a good size. Excellent value. The eggs are cooked well and it’s full of veggies and cheese. Add some hot sauce, and you have a fantastic breakfast. The Fuego fries are your basic home fries, but cooked very well with some great seasoning. I find that places tend to underseason potatoes. This is not an issue at Juan’s. My second time, I had the chicken fried chicken breakfast, which comes with eggs, choice of bread, and choice of potato. The chicken is fantastic, it’s over half the plate in size, and the breading is crispy and adheres well to the meat. Goes very well with the cream gravy. Juan’s is a clean and comfortable joint with table seating and some really comfortable seats at the counter. I’ve never had an issue with wait times, but I’ve only gone during the week; I know it gets very crowded on weekends. But, given the good food and the value, I’d say the wait time is worth it.
