Very frustrating that I have been here twice when closed when the website indicates it’s open… bad business!

I live in Texas but on a weekend trip to Oklahoma city to watch the softball game I saw a billboard on the highway that said«over 70 yarn selection in Norman» luckily the next day we started in this turn off Norman and I was able to visit this wonderful shop. I had previously looked up the website but it wasn’t pleasing to the eye… Or so I thought!!! I got there and it was like the heavens opened up and said come my child!!! They have a wonderful selection(more than I thought) and the ladies there was so nice. I got there about 45 minutes until they were about to close and I was told«take your time no need to rush“and that made me feel super comfortable. The next time I’m in Norman, OK I will stop by and shop. My husband won’t be to happy but he’ll get over it lol

L&B is a great yarn shop. The employees are very helpful and down to earth. I liked how the shop was very modern with a classic feel as well. The had a large assortment of different yarns. I’m interested in checking out their«knit-ins» as well but I don’t make it down to Norman much. Definitely a must go for any knitter/crocheter! Very nice place.

I live in Ithaca, New York, but have family in Oklahoma. Every time I visit, I try to plan a shopping trip to L & B Yarn Company. I love the décor; it’s contemporary and cozy. The yarn selection is fun, and they happen to stock a great variety of some of my favorite yarns: Berocco Comfort and Crystal Palace Panda Cotton as well as fun interesting new yarns I find each time I visit.

L & B is a wonderful addition to Norman. Situated in an easy to find building one street off Main, L & B has a good selection of yarn, beautifully and artfully displayed. The shop design is lovely– very clean and modern. There is a small amount of seating if you do want to sit and knit for a while but since it’s right by the register, I would feel a little awkward and in the way(but that’s just me). Staff is friendly and offer to wind your yarn for you(which once ended up in a tangled nightmare and a discount on the purchase– we’ve all had those yarn-winding-from-hell moments, I’m sure). According to their blog, they offer classes and seem to cultivate quite a sense of community. I wasn’t dazzled by their needle selection but they do have a range of colors in Manos del Uruguay so that made up for it a little. They also offer a free frequent shopper rewards card which is always a plus. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Norman or the surrounding areas.
